Coolest main entrance to a train station I have seen. There is a clock water fountain where the numbers shine blue white at night, a beautiful modern japanese gate made to look like a Torii gate I believe. It has amazing shopping inside and the crafts are of high quality....the curry is super good at Go-Go Curry and there are amazing Japanese sweet shops all over.

Modem looking beautiful station. Lots of food and shopping options. Very friendly staff everywhere. Loop bus and JR pass buses start from next to the station. Grand piano in the underpass where anyone can play. Heard some great music from anonymous local artists. Very great experience overall.

This station's building is amazing, the structure is just splendid, no wonder it is one of the most beautiful train stations in the world. Mostly of the stain stations in Japan are so convenient, you will find lots of different kinds of stores and restaurants, don't forget to buy some golden stuff here which is this city is famous of.

Very impressive huge station with well thought design and architectural structure. Like all Japanese stations, signage and information On dashboards are everywhere to assist you. Look for the station attendant if you need assistance on the the train or information the right platform. They are very friendly and helpful. You can find most shops selling specialty goods and souvenirs in the station. There is a convenient store right at the end if you need to get bottle of mineral water or coffee. Two malls are located at the station. You can find gourmet food and souvenirs at 100 Bangai and fashion boutiques and clothing brands shopping at Rinto. You can grab a quick bite inside the station. There are many restaurants offering local Japanese cuisines.

Big JR station connected to Kyoto and bus connected to Shirakawa and Tomaya. Located between two big office towers: one side is huge department store and the other side is tempting food market. Can spend at least half a day here shopping for different needs.

Kanazawa station is beyond expectation. A spectacular gateway, a mix of strong history and modernity. the information center can be found immediately when exiting the station. I also ride looping bus from this station to see Kanazawa from end to end. it's really a beautiful city.

Perhaps the most stunning station in Japan. The architecture, art, and layout of this station all work together to make it more than just a hub of transportation. I wish I had taken more photos of the station!

PRO: great architecture. At first glance, I thought; "Is this a station!??" Easy to go to Tokyo, Osaka or Nagoya directly using one of the shinkansen, thunderbird or shirasagi trains. CONS: Not much places to eat, and it can get overly crowded. Also, ekibens sell out quickly (way before dinner) so when you are taking the train at nighttime, it is better to buy bentos or sushi from the supermarket upstairs, and it is cheaper.

Love the stations architecture. The machines here are easy to use (you need to know your station destination name) and uses credit cards. It is not busy. There are bakeries, convenience and small restaurants as well as souvenir shops here.

Great spot, really recommend everyone to come here and avoid the hustle bustle of stone of the bigger cities. Kanazawa is authentic Japan while still being big enough to meet your needs
