Very good experience visiting Balasuriya. The guided tour was exceptional, with highly interesting information about gem mining, cleaning and processing into jewelry. Mr. Roger Berlioz is not only expert but also passionate in the field and provided us with a great tour. Very good selection of jewelry in the shop, highly recommended!

I was there in August 2019. I bought several pieces including an amethyst tennis bracelet. Unfortunately one of the stones came out and I have not found a jeweler that can match up the stone to replace it. :(
