Great park in Kannapolis, NC! My son had a blast on the carousel. There's also a train ride, but it wasn't operating today due to the rain. Very dog friendly. The playgrounds were top of the line, and the entire park was very clean as well. *Update* My family and I went back here with some good friends of ours that were visiting and had the opportunity to go on the train ride! All I have to say is that the kids loved it! Posted a short video below.

Love this park, there's also a train, a splash pad, and a carousel in which you can purchase tickets on site for a $1.50 each.

Two large play structures, one playground was just updated (April 2022). Splash pad. Restrooms. Stroller and wheelchair accessible. Lots of picnic areas. Koi pod. One of the best parks around.

Double decker carousel! Splash Pad & playgrounds, the train was down for maintenance. Great family fun. Kids ages 5-8 enjoyed a fun filled day. Purchased tickets for carousel and splash pad at the main building, $1.50 each attraction, per person. Their are concessions.. but you can bring your own food. They sold ice cream and other treats as a nice little addition to a hot day in the sun.

This place is really cool to take your kids. Had a cool train that rides around the park on the weekends and a carousel as well. The tickets to ride both are pretty cheap. About $12.00 for about 10 tickets. Have spots you can rent out for parties and a huge playground area. It is very very clean there. My kids loved it and can't wait to go back!

It's a wonderful park. During holidays Christmas lights are amazing and you can see them from Nov 20th to Dec 30th. Hot cocoa, artificial snow, Train ride, Carousal, s'mores and Free picture with Santa everything is covered. Train ride needs a prior reservation during Christmas lights. Rides are only for $1. It's a perfect place to visit with family for a fun evening. Playset on the playground is new and updated and spread over a big area. Multiple swing and slide sets makes so much fun for kids.

A very beautiful park kids can enjoy carasoul and train ride. A huge park for kids and family can enjoy. Parking can be little bit tricky for someone who goes there for the first time. I went through YMCA and librarya and parked there.

Nice park, there's a children's playground there. Seems they had a nice Christmas tree and it's still there. You can find some places for BBQ and also it should be a train for a kids but it works when it's a warm season.

Very beautiful Christmas light show the best part is that it's free for everyone to come enjoy the beautiful lights and get true sense of how Christmas should be spending great quality time with the ones u love enjoying hot chocolate and deep fried oreos with a side of great smelling funnel cake and the best buttery popcorn and I'm so happy that the city of Kannapolis understands the true meaning of Christmas and just wants families to come together by making this a free event for everyone

What an awesome park with so much to do! My 2 year old really enjoyed the train, double decked merry-go-round and splash pad. We chose to get their punch card and I feel it was totally worth it as we have plenty of punches left for another trip! Can’t wait to come back!

Love this park! It's super spacious for kids and adults. So much to do for kids. Love The greenery the landscape the trails off the park. There's a clubhouse that can be rented for events, The library the diversity of children and people . The events! I take my kid here mostly everyday for the convince. The summers the water park is active along with the train. The bathrooms could be better, at times . Other than that it's a beautiful park

We LOVE Village Park! My boys have always had so much fun at the playground and now that summer is here we've also done the splash pad, train, and carousel. Everything is super affordable and well kept up. All the staff have been very kind and seem to care about what they do. My boys are always begging to come to this park!

During the summer, this park hosts a free concert series with some well-known acts. There is a two-story carousel and train rides. They have a nice play area. There are picnic shelters for rent. At Christmas they have a beautiful lights display. It's a lovely family-friendly park.

Very nice very park, it’s one of my favorites. There’s plenty to do with the children, you have the splash pad with setting areas vending machines and mini concession stand. The restroom better than most and park is clean. The have a train that goes around the park and the children love riding it, I believe it’s 1.50 per person , so is the splash pad! There a nice amount of parking with the YMCA and Library within the same location.

I attended the last summer concert at the Kannapolis Village Park Amphitheatre. The concert was amazing! Preacher Stone opened for Grand Funk Railroad! The Carousel and train were still operating for anyone that wanted to ride them. There was food trucks out front and drinks, water and beer was sold inside. Public restrooms were available.

I have only been this one night with my family to see the lights ride the carousel and train we had a wonderful time but was very cold. That night GOD was truly with us a little girl had gotten lost from her family and I told the staff and the little girl was able to tell us everything about who she was with and the staff member knew that there was only one tree with snow and we found her family. Truly a great night.

I was there for the Grand Funk concert August 5th, my first trip to The Village Park Amphitheater, and was very impressed with the facility and the quality of the production. There were several thousand people there, and it was handled very well. I have one big criticism of the stage, that could be easily resolved. Unfortunately I arrived well after the opening act had stayed playing, and the crowd was already packed. There were NO good spots available. I discovered that on the left SIDE of the stage that I had a decent view of 1 or 2 of the band members, but my view of the drummer was completely blocked, and I could only occasionally see the others. Almost all of the obstruction was by shrubs and trees that had obviously been planted there beside the stage, with no value that I could see to anyone! If those plants were removed, probably 40-50 people could have a good view from the side of the stage. There was also a very nice video screen showing the performance, but the trees and shrubs blocked most of my view of the screen.

Went for a park concert. Had never been before and was pleased with the crowd, concert and how the park managed the people. It actually is a beautiful park! Would definitely go back! Surprised it actually had a Carousel 🎠

This is a wonderful Park! Especially for families and children. The kids love the train the kids and adults love the carousel, it's an amazing double decker carousel! There are a lot of walking paths a terrific playground, a splash pad and great sheltered picnic areas. One of the best city parks I've seen. Not to mention the terrific free concerts during the summer.

We've been going to the Charlotte Symphony w fireworks for July 4th 🇺🇸 celebration in Kannapolis Village Park for 15+ years. Last night, Larry Sprinkle said there were 8,000 people! It's always great, with a real sense of community and just being content w our fellow Americans listening to wonderful music, eating, drinking and watching fireworks 🎇 (fireworks were so brilliant and beautiful and lasted almost 15 minutes). Phenomenal job Kannapolis Parks and Recreation 👏

Great turnout for the free concert tonight. Folks also riding the lovely carousel and park train in the background. Nice to see everyone enjoying themselves. We didn't stay, though, as it started to rain.

This is a beautiful park. The train ride is great for the whole family. The carousel is fun, very classic, There's a splash pad, which is fun with water all around safe for young children. There's a picnic area, tables for parties and lots of space for an outdoor concert.
