They had most of the stuff I would look for. They didn't have the big jolly ball that I wanted to get for my puppy, but other than that I mean the store is great. Service is excellent

I was shocked at the appearance. The grounds are totally unkempt and the place is rundown. I don’t normally groom here since it’s far from my house but I was taking someone home in this area so set the appt here. I get a VM from a very stressed out Rebecca asking if I can come in earlier. I oblige and come in early. Upon arriving Rebecca asks why my dog is listed as mixed breed, well my dog is a mixed breed and since they only had one option for bernedoodle which is standard I chose the mixed breed, medium size dog, which is exactly what my dog is and what Independence Petco told me to do since my mini bernedoodles are not large dogs. They are under 50. His mother is a bernedoodle and his father a moyen poodle. The dad under 20 and the mom under 40. My Kodah is 35- 40lbs at most. She said she needs to be paid her worth and she is charging 83 when it’s suppose to be 59. They refused the appointment unless I paid their price and told me to go to the Independence store to get my dogs hair cut (really at a moments notice? and after driving all the way there?) where my normal groomer, Sarah, charges 59. I don’t know how people blatantly lie. I think Covid killed customer service.

I have senior pups and they did a great job. The groomer made them look beautiful and took care with them due to their advanced ages (13 and 8). I really appreciated her work. Thank you!

This was first time my dog got professional grooming. The young lady exceeded expectations. My dogs cut is so darn cute. She is Yorkie mix and wasn’t sure she could really get a styled look. Her hair is normally just a fluff ball. Love the new look!

The best Petco in Kansas City area. Every time I have visited this location they are well stocked and friendly. Today Gage assisted me with some supplies and purchasing two Lined Day Geckos. I could immediately tell he had good experience with them and was knowledgeable. The Geckos are in they're new home doing very well, again thank you so much Gage.

If I could I wouldn't give any stars, took my pitbull to be groomed he there was only one dog ahead of him and we were informed "he wouldn't take long" my dog sat in a kennel for over an hour and was never groomed. He was crying and full of another dogs hair when he came out of the back room. Never again will I be using petco

It's ok. Not the worst pet store I've been in but far from the best. It had normal Petco stuff. The biggest problem was it was so messy and cluttered. There were half full boxes everywhere, endcaps overflowing, and stuff put in the wrong place. The employees were not bad or good.

I take my dog here for grooming (bath, teeth brushed, nails clipped, etc.) and Jennifer is a wonderful groomer! She's very kind and patient. My dog is always very clean, well-groomed and very happy!!! Great job, Jennifer! Also, I buy my dogs toys and treats here as well. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, excellent customer service! I highly recommend Petco!!

Purchased a Easy Walk Front Lead last night and it couldn’t even last for one walk. The threading started to break at the start of our walk and then finally did DURING the walk! I didn’t get a receipt so they won’t take it back. That’s on me. This is not a rating on the store or employees but more so on the brand who makes the Collar. 10/10 do not recommend!

Great place but my dog experienced anxiety as he is not used to so many dogs & I was not with him.

A much nicer & cleaner store than Petland by Zona Rosa. It was difficult to find anyone to help & they didn't seem to be lacking employees.

Best groom job on my little Pomeranian Gi8zmo is just 9 months old and this was his first grooming. I had trained him on what to expect and he stood still and calm for the whole process. Tiffany was his groomer and she did an excellent job and spent alot of time making him look extremely handsome. I would take a photo of him but it is nap time and he is slerping.

please do not support this store. This store has 4 conures living in filth. Their cages are dirty, their drinking water is dirty. It looks they haven’t cleaned it in weeks! Poor birds looked depressed. Petco do better!!!!!

Very nice store, I volunteer for KC Pet Project taking care of the cats and the setup of the kennels are much more accessible at this Petco than the one at Barry Road. The only thing I will note, as a wheelchair user it can be difficult to move around when there are boxes or large dollies filled with heavy objects in the pathway that the kennels are on, it is a very tight fit to try to get by the fence I put up for the cats to have time outside the kennel and added objects such as carts in the way makes it even more challenging. Also, the bathroom doors are incredibly heavy and hard to open while sitting in a wheelchair, the wheelchair accessible bathrooms are large enough, but the doors make the bathrooms inaccessible for me because they are so heavy. (Maybe Petco could install automatic door openers, I'm sure I'm not the only one this would help). The employees are all super nice and very helpful.

From the person that answered the phone to the person that was behind the counter and then to the person on the floor that helped me fine pet bowls. The store consistency it's stellar and I will always go to that store when I'm in the area.

Ordered a 55 gallon fish tank on line. Pick up at the store was quick. The employees were friendly, helpful and knew exactly where my item was at.
