Gaels Public House, located off of Troost Ave, is a popular bar & grill in the Kansas City area. This spot is particularly popular during their scheduled events and specifically happy hour. Gaels Public House has daily specials such as $9 Burger Mondays, All Day Happy Hour on Wednesdays, and $10 Specialty Pizza Thursdays. You can even check their events page online to see the scheduled trivia nights, karaoke nights, and Sunday brunch drag shows. There are some tables inside with a few of the stage, along with bar stools and several tables outside on the cozy patio. Two of my favorite items to order for table off of the menu are the poutine fries and the nachos. Gaels also serves tasty pizza, stacked burgers, fresh salads, crispy chicken tenders, mouthwatering tacos, and more! If you are looking for a brunch and drag show day, this is the place to visit! Add Gaels Public House to your KC Bucket List today!

I would have given them 5 stars but they are in a soft launch. Servers are in training, learning the menu, as well as how to provide 5 star service. The food was good, atmosphere was nice and welcoming. I loved the sweet chili and classic wings, and the Scotch eggs!

The food and drinks were outstanding. We had some sort of meatball appetizer (beef and beer bites) that was phenomenal. I actually woke up this morning wanting more of those! We also tried the chicken pizza and an apple crunch salad with salmon. The salmon was perfect on my salad! The salad was loaded with pistachios, bacon crumbles, and craisins. The chicken pizza had a white sauce base and was delicious. We also had a house margarita, a bramble berry drink, and a frozen Dole whip with rum. All of the drinks were very good. Our bar tender/ wait person was fabulous, helpful, and friendly. We are already making plans to come back.

This was our first time here and we were very impressed with the place. It's not your typical sports bar. It is more classier and well decorated even had a candle on the table for an extra touch. Service was amazing and the food was great. This place is a must go to place for great food and service.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, good happy hour menu & even better food. Everything we had was delicious, from the drinks, to the apps, to our dinner. Even went back the next morning for their weekend brunch menu. French toast was amazing! You definitely have to try it out if you are in the area…You won’t be disappointed!

EDIT: Be aware the owner of Gaels will block anyone who criticizes them on social media. It's unfortunate the owner isn't willing to take feedback and improve the business model. Professional and prompt waitstaff and a decent steak. However, someone needs to do the bartender a favor and teach them how to make an old fashioned. The few we ordered actually got progressively worse as the dominate flavor was bitters. If anyone wants to save their money and make their own, it's pretty simple: - One sugar cube (or one bar spoon of simple syrup) - Two dashes Angostura bitters - Two ounces rye or bourbon - Orange twist Muddle the sugar and bitters in the bottom of a glass with one bar spoon of water. If using simple syrup, combine bitters and one bar spoon of simple syrup. Add rye or bourbon and stir. Then add one large ice cube or a few smaller cubes in a rocks glass and stir until chilled, about 30 seconds. Express a freshly peeled orange peel over the top of the cocktail and place it on the edge of the ice.

A friend and I stopped by here because we were curious and wanted to support new businesses on Troost. What a great find! We fell in love with the place and are quickly becoming regulars. The menu is filled with all kinds of dishes that sound great. I see plates coming out to different tables that look delicious! The prices are great, especially for the amount of food you get. The other element I love about this place is the friendly, family like atmosphere. Every person working the front of the restaurant made a point to stop by and say hello. I'm looking forward to many great meals to come.

I was told of a new restuarant bar that I should try so I made a special trip to try it. The host at the door was very inviting. The bartenders were very nice and attentive. The decor was clean and well thought out. I was not going for dinner just a drink. After studying the menu I decided to try a sampling. They were just ok but I want to try the dinner items before I give any opinions on that. I will definitely return

Food: Whoa! We had a big group and every single person LOVED their food. I had the nachos. The best nachos. The best. The food is worth the visit alone. Service: I had asked for a reservation for a bigger group...however, some of the people didn't come or couldn't come, and the staff was accommodating the entire time. Super quick to respond, willing to help with the reservation and everything that comes along with it. When we got there, they treated us like royalty. The servers were great! Attentive. Helpful. All that you could ask for. Atmosphere: It has the feel of an old school, historic type place, yet it's new... The Kansas City feel is amazing. Loved the space. Loved the stage area. Loved the bar. Great place. Drag Show: We came on a night with a show. We had an 8 year old with us, and the show was fantastic. The performers were super sweet and very attentive to our kiddo. Making her feel extra special. The best part was when our kiddo said, "I've never seen a real queen before." That just put a cherry on top of the whole Gael's experience. Loved this place. Loved the staff. Loved the owner. Loved the performers. Loved the food. Loved the atmosphere.

Love this place! They have a great outdoor patio, a nice mocktail menu, and really good food! You don't really have a set server it seems like. Any one of the servers can bring you an additional drink or food item, as well as cash you out. It's an interesting concept, and so far, I've never felt neglected or wanted for anything while dining at Gael's. They also usually have some form of evening entertainment, either karaoke, trivia, or maybe even a drag show! Just a really fun place!

I love going to Gael's. The service is always extremely helpful, attentive, and makes it a fun experience. Which is hard to find alot of the time. It's a good half way point for my friends and I and we love to watch sports here. Plus they have some really good daily specials and fun seasonal drinks!

I really like this spot. They have a lot of fun events. The bartender is very nice, her name is Lindsey. Check out their nightly specials and what events they’re doing. Quality service and great food.

The staff is amazing! The venue is clean, and well laid out. It has a incredible patio, and plenty of off street parking. The food is delcious, or dare I say stellar. They do Entertainment nightly. Saturday is Karaoke with Hot Mics Entertainment 8pm-12am, and it is so fun!

Wonderful laid back and inclusive vibe. The owners and staff go above and beyond to ensure their guests are having a great time and staying fed/hydrated. Perfect place to take a group for a show or casual night of drinks. For other 30+ year olds, great parking and a reasonable volume for music. IYKYK

Always a great stop for happy hour. Also $10 Pizza Fridays are awesome. They seem to have events almost every day, sometimes multiple events per day(weekends). I've been there during trivia one night, even though I wasn't playing I had a blast. The emcee's for trivia are awesome at keeping everyone pumped.

Food was good, mimosas were great, staff was energetic! Bummed they don't do Scotch Eggs anymore since there's so many positive reviews about them. We specifically came for them. Otherwise, the food we did have was good!

This is our Sunday place to eat whenever we go through KC. We love the brunch menu. Today I ordered the breakfast pizza and my husband ordered the pastrami hash. The pizza had a creamy and flavorful sauce and a really nice thin crust, it was delicious. We also had cocktails. We love the cocktails and try to get different ones every time we visit. The service was excellent and the outdoor patio in the back is lovely. When it is nice outside the outdoor patio is my favorite! Give Gaels a try, you will be happy you did!
