It is One of BBQ chain restaurants in Kansas city It may be the shop's unique style, but for me, the interior lighting was dark, so I couldn't see the menu well. We ordered ribs, chicken, and sandwiches. The ribs looked small compared to their size, and some parts were overcooked and burnt black color I'm sorry I put 3 stars on the rating, I hope it getting better next time

He food is good and so is the atmosphere. The food had really good taste and texture. The atmosphere is very cheerful and fun and energetic. The service was very good, everyone was very kind and friendly. Unfortunately, in the booths, there are dents, which did make it a bit uncomfortable, but overall, it was very good, and I do recommend it!

Places phenomenal went there with some co-workers. For the first time for lunch, we were all so impressed that I took my husband back there on Friday evening for a date night. As he put it, it just satisfied his soul. Kudos to you guys, kudos to your weight staff to your cook staff. In absolutely lovely establishment all around.

We hadn’t been here for some time but decided to give it another try. Frankly, it always seemed too busy for a quick dinner. I was interested in purchasing a gift card & they offered a little extra incentive to dine in and purchase a card. I’m glad we stopped in and had a nice relaxing late lunch. I really enjoyed the chicken pot pie and will certainly be back. My wife really liked the turkey reuben also.

While traveling this place was recommended so we stopped for dinner and it was great. Our server (Chris I believe) was very friendly, attentive and efficient. Our meals were fresh, hot and delicious. We were seated next to a window and it was freezing, although it was zero degrees out so not truly a poor reflection on the restaurant. There was also a very loud group seated next to us which was distracting, but again not necessarily a ding against the establishment. May just not be the right place for a quiet, romantic dinner! 😉 We will return when in the area again.

Although I have N&J's closer (Shawnee) the OP location is on another level. Great variety bar menu coupled with an amazing staff always brings me back! 💪🏾

It almost feels like I stepped back into the 90s. The ambiance in this place is a little strange in my opinion. The haphazard dessert tray blew me away! I have only seen this in movies and I could not believe my eyes that here is was in real life! It did not entice a desire to have dessert. In fact, it turned me away from having dessert. The food was good, but nothing exceptional. If you want good ranch dressing and French fries this would be your place. The fries aren’t special, but the ranch seems to be made at the location. This isn’t a destination for me, but I wouldn’t say no if someone else suggested it.

Went here for the first time for Restaurant week KC and all the food was excellent. We went during lunch and got the 15$ restaurant week special. Ordered the Chicken Osso Bucco - 8oz roasted & pan-seared frenched chicken breast, creamy parmesan grits, aspargus, & a roasted carrot & onion wine sauce , and also ordered the Winter Seafood Tortellini - Sautéed shrimp & scallops, prosciutto, three-cheese tortellini, arugula, sundried tomatoes, whiskey-parmesan cream suace, toasted pecans, & basil oil.

Food seems half and half, my steak was good but my colleague's was overcooked, the sides taste like they're frozen and not fresh. For the price they charge, I was expecting better. (Also their menu says "real food and honest drink" can someone tell me "real food" as opposed to what and what the heck is an "honest drink?")

I had the chicken quesadilla during happy hour for a great price. I really liked the onion jam on it. My child had the salmon and rice kids meal. They have a kids' entertainment page with crayons and also bring out a plate of grapes and cheezits for kids too. The wait staff were friendly.

We came to Nick and Jake's last night for our family night out. I believe our servers name was Terry (she also has two kiddos that work there with her). Her service was amazing and she made my kids feel super special. It was a calm comforting environment and she was extremely personable. As a family with young kids we don't go out much and she made us feel like we were over at a friends house eating dinner. Thank you so much! (She even took this photo of us) 🤍

Waitress food was good and excellent. My Porterhouse pork steak with glaze was great. I wanted my hubby meal. He got the pastrami Burger. Yummm top it off with Double Chocolate Cake.

Kate was a wonderful waitress, she even had them make me onion rings that were awesome! The Texas Club sandwich was perfect and the baby back ribs were great, falling off the bone tender. Wish we had this restaurant in AZ!

The atmosphere, food, and service were all amazing! We'll definitely be coming here again! Amanda was an excellent server. The Bourbon Glazed Salmon was incredible.

Nick and Jake’s is a casual pub atmosphere. We were here to visit with some family while we were in town. When we first made the reservation, we needed a table for four, but then some other relatives changed their minds and showed up later—so we needed to move tables. Logan was great helping us out (and there was another gal there who helped move our tables—shoulder length black hair, helped out then putting us somewhere secluded—yay!). Logan was super helpful and attentive. Food was great and service was quick. This is a great local joint, lots of fun and great place to meet with people for good food. Would definitely go here again!

If you’re looking for a restaurant with a lively atmosphere, great food and awesome service this is the place for you. I’ve never had a bad experience at Nick and Jake’s and they do not skimp on the food portions.

The Special dinner that comes with a choice of soup or Salad, 1 main entree and a dessert was my selection. I picked the seafood gumbo, a smoked whiskey pork chop and carrot cake with. Crème anglaise and it turned out to be an amazing dinner. The special dinner was only $35 before tax so it’s a great deal. Waiter was very attentive and friendly.

The food was delicious but what made our experience the best one ever was our server. Hayley was absolutely incredible!! We eat out frequently and often, you can barely even get your server’s attention. Hayley was attentive and personable and never once made us feel like we were bothering her or taking up her time, even though she had multiple tables. We will be back, on the days that Hayley works!!

Arrived shortly after open, so no waiting. Waitress was attentive and very patient. All the staff were excellent. The chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. The chicken was a little dry, and the sandwich came with no condiments, so be sure to ask if you want anything other than ketchup, which is already on the table. Sweet potato fries were good. BBQ pork sandwich and Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese were very creamy and cheesy. The BBQ sandwich was delicious. It comes topped with slices of jalapeño, which I removed. The onion topping was weird but tastes good. Chips and cheese dip and salsa were also good. The cheese dip I loved. The salsa was sweet with a little after kick, very good. The chips are thicker than what I am used to seeing in a restaurant and held up to the dips without breaking

The food was delicious. Highly recommend the mozzarella sticks! What absolutely made our experience above excellent was our server. Hayley was one of the best servers we have had in a long time. I work in retail and my wife works in healthcare. Any industry that works with people has always been hard, however since Covid, it has ramped up to almost unbearable. Hayley showed none of the usual negative attitude you so commonly see everywhere. She was friendly, personable and went above and beyond to make our experience one of the best! I would love to give her at least 10 stars!

Loved the Food, Service and Atmosphere. ( Some of the historic images were from the Jackson County Historical Society Wilborn Collection). The Meatloaf, Glazed Salmon, Key Lime pie, and Margarita were delicious . The only negative was that the food was warm but not hot . The server said to be careful that the plate was Super Hot. Maybe at one point, but I suspect that it sat on a Ready Shelf for a couple of minutes.

Kate was our server who was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and sweet. Loved her willingness to help us order! By the way, the meals were tasty.. A+ 🤙🏾 It was our first time visiting and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended!! Sit on the balcony too. Thank you Nick and Jake’s for an amazingly fresh and tasteful dinner 😊

I LOVE Nick & Jakes...I come in EVERY TIME I'm in KC..it NEVER disappoints...food is ALWAYS fantastic as is the service. Took my sister there today..my only complaint is that they don't have a location in Wichita..COME ON GUYS! I'M telling you it would do absolutely fantastic! I can even help you out with location!

Food are great. My jambalaya has a thick tomatoes based sauce with a heavy dose of roasted garlic and onion flavor. Loved it. The shrimp appetizer is crispy but covered in a creamy aioli sauce which brings it to a perfection.

Just had a burger here and it was good! This is a place I’d recommend to anyone looking for a specialty burger. I had the Hawaiian burger and it was packed with flavor. Spicy but sweet. And juicy. Really a combination of good flavors.

I meet a dear friend here every 2 weeks for lunch. The last couple of times, she's brought her very ill brother, who loves it, so its been nice that he could come. The waiters are great, don't mind if we sit and visit and the food is always good. Only piece of advice is that if you have trouble hearing, do not sit in the little room on the right as you come in. The 3 of us had my 96 yr old aunt with us and we ended up in that room and they couldn't hear a thing. Always predictably pleasant.

I come here for work lunches from time to time. The staff has always been friendly and fun. Menu is fairly standard bar and grill, perhaps a bit elevated. Served quickly and the quality has always been solid.

Stopped in for a quick drink while I waited for other dinner plans. There was room at the bar and the servers were attentive. The old fashioned I ordered was fantastic. I haven’t had the food so I’m eager to try that later.

Good comfort food in a nice setting. We were able to sit on the patio on a gorgeous night and it made it that much better. Was a wait when we got there but they nailed the time we would have to wait which we appreciated. Food came out quick and was delicious.

Great place! My wife and I sat at the bar and the service was great, even though it was very busy. I had the ham and smoked gouda burger, which is a special on Wednesday's (at least right now). It was very good! Also got the key lime pie, and it was also outstanding, they make the pie fresh each day. Lots of TV's and casual atmosphere. They also have a nice outdoor patio.

It was a 25 minute wait...nothing unusual..until we got chips and queso..the chips were stale. Like badly stale. And we asked for a new batch and they were still badly stale. Then our waiter was being friendly and nice to everyone else besides us. Wouldn't check up on us much as he would with everyone else, asking me if I wanted to add this. (Note my mother was paying) so he was picking on the younger one. I gave it 3 stars because I liked the food besides the mashed potatoes which were like not so cold but cold. I do not want to come back.

Super busy place! Waitress was amazing (don't remember her name, but she had dyed hair) We sat on the patio and enjoyed a little bit of a quieter experience - inside was so busy it'd be impossible to talk without telling and I hate doing that, so the patio was def the way to go. All the meals in our party came out together, generous portions and wonderful to taste!
