A very small place on the side of the road with above average Asian dishes. They do Indian, Thai and other South East Asian cuisine. The place is very small with seating in the road for about 20 people but they do many deliveries. The atmosphere is nothing to mention as it is a road side restaurant. If the weather is not good they will not open so call ahead to check.

I tried Jaï for the first time this week and I loved it! I had the Prawn Dumplings, Vegetable Spring Rolls and Chicken Pad Thai and they were all delicious. The complimentary dessert they give was also super tasty. The service was great, the waiters were friendly and helpful! They did however get us the bill as soon as we finished eating, without asking for it, but it was understandable as there were a lot of people waiting to be seated.

A very quite location at night with very little seats available so be patient for a table. All the chefs are Arabs which is unique for such a cuisine, it has it's perks but it's fail also. The food was good in general with a big miss on the PHO soup. The Indian items are more successful then others. I do understand that some ingredients are no longer available in Lebanon but this doesn't make the mash-up acceptable. Good spot, good food but it is not made in Thailand.

A sweet little place where seating is literally on the road, and there is constantly someone waiting for a table. You can definitely see why - the ambience makes you feel like you’re on holiday, the food is delicious and rather close to authentic, the staff are friendly and hospitable and the cherry on the cake is its affordability. Have been more than once and will continue to come even when I finish trying everything on their menu.

The boys at Jaï are the absolute best. The food is made of the best ingredients you can buy. Hygiene is pushed to the point of obsession. The staff is super friendly. The prices are on point. And if they don't have your booze, they get it for you. What else can I say?

Fantastic Thai food, I lived in Asia for years and this was top notch. The Pad Thai was superb so was the green curry chicken.

I really like the vibe of this place and how it’s on the sidewalk with a tiny kitchen. I also love that’s it’s one of very few restaurants that serves Thai in Beirut. The food is however not as great as I expected. I felt like it’s adapted to Lebanese taste from the original recipe. It’s still good food.

Food was overall delicious. Chicken satay was amazing! Spring rolls and dumplings weren’t the best. Butter chicken, prawn sweet & sour and noodles were very good. However, the prawns were actually small shrimps and very few. Portions are not the biggest. Setting is cozy. And they also offer complimentary dessert!

Jaï was an absolute delight! Everything we ordered was prepared and cooked to perfection! Not a single ingredient, spice, or flavor was out of place, and everything was absolutely fulfilling. I highly recommend ordering the tom yum goon soup and chicken satay. For dessert, they offered us ginger beignets with creamy lemongrass and coconut milk sauce. It was very delicious!

I never visited the place but we sometimes order delivery to the office or at home. Considering the lack of good Asian food in Lebanon, Jai is ok with well priced food. Not everything is full flavour, it needs a better punch; the Pad Thai is pretty decent, and the green beef curry is good, and they have a good beef Thai noodles salad. I legit don’t know how anyone can eat this. I just ordered two sandwiches from another place nearby because we literally could not eat another bite of this asian food.

One of my favorite places in Beirut! Delicious food where the very hospitable lady (who is also the chef's mom) takes care of you. Since a couple of years, lunch at Jaï became a ritual for me and my friends. It is small but it's perfect 👌. For dinner, they add tables outside so you have more space. Our favorites there: Shrimp summer rolls Chicken tikka salad Spinach and peanut sauce salad Musamman curry beef And the best green curry chicken ever! To finish, you get a dessert "on the house" consisting of fried dumplings with coconut milk and almonds. And if you are visiting in December, you also get chocolate truffles. Finally, prices are very affordable for what you are getting. What else to make it a perfect place 😉?

Located on a private street, the experience of jai is extraordinary. They dont take reservations, we went and waiting for our turn (have to put your name on a waiting list while there) The service was amazing. The staff is super friendly and helped us with the dishes choosing. We had the spring rolls, they were amazing. Would recommend having them with another sauce than the one that comes with it. We also had the bao buns with shrimps - spinach salad - butter chicken - coconut curry and pad thai. All were very good and full of flavors. The salad is not to miss. My personal favorite dish was the coconut curry. The butter chhicken had much more potatoes than chicken. The dinner was topped with their desert which was also very good! On a Saturday night i was craving for jai food after almost 6 months. We went to have a dinner we ordered summer rolls(tasty), onion bhajis (tasty) then for the main dishes we ordered pad Thai (tasty) and butter chicken (used to be better before). I was surprised this time butter chicken wasn’t good like they used to do.

But i have to say that the prawn dumplings and the pad thaï were my favorites. UNARGUABLY THE BEST ASIAN RESTAURANT IN BEIRUT. PERIOD. Very tiny place, but with incredible tastes. The chef here has had long cooking experiences in Asia and uses the same techniques in this restaurant. The spices are deep, the tastes are incredible. For starters try the dumplings and bhagis. All the rest are great as well. As a main dish, the curry is amazing but also feels like the least exotic taste here. Try the Pad kee mao, Nasi goreng or Singapore noodles, some of my favourites. And guys, I've tried tons of Asian desserts everywhere that are "okay" but HERE the DESERTS ARE PHENOMENAL, especially the ginger beignets.

Jai is one of the best place to deliver food from. My two favorites are the green thai curry and the pad thai. There is a very cute sitting area. You can book in advance a nicer table that is inside the kitchen somehow. They used to be BYOB, not sure if it's still the case. Good times.

It’s not your favorite setting in cold weather (it’s freezing outdoors) and it’s only a small table inside. Their Thai beef salad is a winner, the green curry and Indian corma are perfect too!

I visited Jaï on a Saturday afternoon me and my friend, we sat outside, we ordered samosas as entry, pho soup, pad thai and for drinks we had the iced tea infused with ginger and cinnamon. The food is super delicious, our Host super friendly and the ambiance super lovely and quiet. Our host even served us dessert on the house. Super recommended if you love asian food.

One of my favorite places for a bite! Fresh, tasty, unique and affordably priced. Some food is extraordinary while some is bland. I wasn’t a huge fan of their Pho beef soup for instance. Staff are super kind and friendly. Atmosphere is homey and peaceful. Not much more you can ask for! Well except one thing: I wish they accepted credit cards. It’s a cash-only restaurant so keep that in mind when you’re visiting.

Amazing service, the food came so quickly after I ordered and the food was excellent and complimentary coconut beignets served after the meal. The homemade cinnamon ginger iced tea was delicious and I normally don’t like shrimp, but the chicken and shrimps in the pad Thai were so flavorful.

One table, 2 hrs to enjoy Fine dining experience: fresh ingredients tickling your taste buds, a mix of Thai and indian cuisine, the right seasoning, cooking everything is right. I definitely recommend it and wish you can have more tables but maybe then the charm is lost? I was walking back from Verdun yesterday and was hungry and had been pining for Thai. I ordered the Thai Green Curry with chicken and OMG it was super flavourful. It wasn’t how I would make it but it was great!!! Lots of lemongrass, garlic and coriander. It was a dream for me and the staff were exceptional and I did have to wait for a table and within 5 mins got a seat at the bar by the kitchen. There was a constant stream of people waiting for a table. It was great although I’m pretty sure there is no toilet which is a let down considering the food they are serving. 😁
