We stayed for 3 weeks coming from America and it was a great experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and showed great professionalism for example when we opened the door they would stand to the side as to not look inside. We had absolutely no issue with water or electricity (no food poisoning) and it felt like the light never went out! Breakfast was always on time and delicious and the owner and their Mrs. are very nice and we had a great experience and when we go again we will for sure come again!!! 🇺🇸

There is no concept of fumigation here. Lots of insects. Lots of noises. They take ages in room cleaning. The sheets and towels are not very clean. Plus they don't have any phones in the room. House keeping staff is unprofessional and uneducated.

The management has made a good effort to put this "hotel" up to standards, but unfortunately their effort has been somewhat unsuccessful. The room was clean, the bathroom was spotless. However, there were a few points of concern. 1. There was absolutely no view from the single small window in the room. Hence, there was close to no sunlight in the daytime, making the ambience extremely depressing. 2. The building looks like it is still under construction. Neither a reception, nor a restaurant has been made. There are also no elevators. 3. The doors have no bolts. Even though there is good security at the main gate, I'm not comfortable staying in a room whose lock looks flimsy, and only opens with a key card. The staff has a master key, and what happens if, say, the electricity goes out? To conclude, the property is something between a hotel and a guesthouse. I would recommend spending a little extra and going somewhere else. This property is okay if someone's on a solo trip for one or two days, given he spends most of the day outside. There is definitely a family atmosphere, but remember before bringing your wife and kids: The rooms are not very appealing. Even though they are clean, they look like rooms in a faraway, remote area, or maybe even like rooms from a VIP prison. The management and staff were extremely friendly, but I am sorry to say that this is a 3 star property at most. Moreover, it is overpriced. I do not want to mention any other name here, but I believe you can get a similar place for a bit less. A message to the hotel management: You need to make big changes, like replacing the rooms, and advance the building. If you do that, this has the potential to be a hotel of good quality.

Feels like home experience. 👍🏻 Staff is really cooperative. My stay was for three days, went smooth. I usually prefer Airbnb but Hamsun restores my faith in guesthouses again. 😁 it’s very economical. It’s like 30% cheaper than average Airbnb in this city and plus i get breakfast too. 🥳 Rooms are exactly like the pictures. It’s location is on main shahra e Faisal but a little away from link road so traffic noise don’t bother you. You wake up to a peaceful view. Also if you’re a foodie, you have a lot of diverse options to try, just on few minutes walking distance. Cleanliness is I think their motto. Bathroom are super clean. 👍🏻 I ask them if I can delay my checkout 2 hours and they allowed happily. 😁 Few things/services to improve or include - card payments (They have bank transfer option but no CC) - breakfast quality (just a little) Definitely recommended. 👍🏻

I have been staying in guest houses in different hotels for 25-30 years but I have had a great experience here, the staff here, the service here, the security here, and the family atmosphere here is the most important thing here, from room service to the reception below. All the people are honest and hardworking and work hard. I am very happy to stay here in Pakistan, especially in this guest house in Karachi.

It was my first stay at Hamsun and I had a very pleasant experience. Rooms were clean and cozy. Staff was very cooperative and room service response to any request was fast. They have a good breakfast menu and it was always served on time. I travel to Karachi often for business and Hamsun will be my preferred choice from now onwards.

Spotless and nice spacious rooms, impeccable service, great location and great breakfast! The staff can also arrange a driver (it worked seamlessly) and I could even take a shower before my flight home (long after checkout). Very good security and 24/7 service I would recommend anybody staying in Karachi to take this hotel.

My brief stay at Hamsun with my family was genuinely pleasant, even if it was just for a night. After a tiring day, finding a comfortable and safe place to rest in Karachi was our priority. The interior aesthetics and environment of the room caught our eye, offering a warm welcome. We were pleased with the quick and friendly room service, consistent water supply, and clean restrooms. Overall, the experience was quite delightful. Even though the parking isn’t gated, the 24-hour guard and surveillance cameras provided ample security, which we appreciated. However, there’s some room for enhancement, notably in streamlining the onboarding experience and clarifying the breakfast form by providing detailed explanations for each section. A slight reduction in price would also be welcome, yet it stands as a commendable option regardless.

We loved our stay at Hamsun! The rooms are spacious and clean. The beds are very comfortable. The decor is very nice. The location is very central. The breakfast was fantastic. They have a variety of dishes, the homemade parathas and chanay were outstanding, really excellent! The breakfast always arrived on time. The staff is so helpful and welcoming. When you hear the guesthouse in Karachi , you think it will be shady, smelly, not clean, and all bad things. Hamsun is an EXCEPTION to the above statement with Super Clean Rooms, Comfortable Beds, Secure Space only for families. The location is main Shahra e Faisal which is close to everything. I would say it’s priced less for the quality it provides. Super safe for international traveller 10/10. We stayed two weeks and the staff was super cooperative. They made us feel comfortable and secure. The rooms have a kitchenette and sitting area which made it more Comfortable for family stay.

If you’re in Karachi & looking for a extremely comfortable homelike stay there is no better place than Hamsun Suites. All rooms are very spacious, clean & comfortable at a very reasonable price. On top of that Office & room service staff is very professional & every person is very humble & friendly. Did I mention about the location? That is the biggest plus of staying at this place. Hamsun Suites is centrally located & all famous places & well reputed Restaurants of Karachi are not more than 20-30 minutes drive. Banks, Money changers & some restaurants are at a walking distance.

I regret the delay in providing this feedback, as our trip to Hamsun took place back in January of this year. Our stay at Hamsun followed a distressing experience at another Airbnb in Karachi. We arrived there on the same day as our long-haul flight, with two exhausted children in tow. Stranded outside our previous Airbnb, I contacted Hamsun, and I believe the owner's name is Hassan (my apologies if I have misremembered). He kindly informed us that they had available rooms. Upon our arrival, they promptly showed us to our rooms and checked us in without requesting payment information, which was a considerate gesture given our extreme fatigue and desperate need for rest. Turning to the accommodation and staff, the interior of Hamsun is impeccably well-maintained. The rooms adhere to international standards and are kept spotlessly clean. The staff members are exceptionally courteous and available at all hours to assist with any concerns. They promptly resolved any issues that arose and demonstrated a high level of attentiveness to our needs. In terms of safety, during our stay at Hamsun, we felt remarkably secure. As a first-time visitor to Pakistan with young children, safety was a paramount concern, both for our well-being and the security of our possessions within the room. Hamsun effectively addressed these concerns, alleviating any worries we may have had. I would like to note, however, that it would be a valuable addition if they offered a fitness center. Additionally, the towels could benefit from the use of fabric softener. Furthermore, there was some inconsistency with hot water accessibility during our stay, although the staff made efforts to rectify the issue. Leaving these minor issues aside, my 10-year-old still fondly reminisces about Hamsun and expresses a strong desire to return to Pakistan primarily to revisit this establishment. In terms of pricing, the rate of approximately $100 per night for a two-bedroom suite was reasonable and commensurate with the value offered.

My experience with Hamsun was great. My family and I stayed for 5+ days.The staff was extremely accommodating and prompt. We had to upgrade our booking last minute which they did immediately. The rooms are spacious and resemble like hotel apartments. They do have an air conditioner and a ceiling fan as well to protect you from the heat. The location is great as it is centrally located right off Karachi's main road/highway. Many banks, foreign exchanges and restaurants at a walking distance nearby. Without traffic, it is 15 minutes away from the airport. Security- the location is discreet close to a country's consulate. Furthermore, they do have a security guard infront of their main gate. I felt safe in and around the hotel. They do offer breakfast that is delivered to your room . The breakfast is mediocre at best but fresh and hygienic. I do recommend Hamsun if you are on a budget and prefer the best of hotels and gueshouses.

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. More than my expectations. Bisma, the front desk officer was very cooperative and flexible with our requests. The other staff was also very respectful and responded to our needs efficiently. We came from USA for my daughter’s wedding and stayed there for 14 days. Such a nice and excellent place to stay and you will feel like you are at home. Owner Hassan treat us like his own family. My wife and I stayed here for an entire month due to Covid-related delays in travel plans and our stay at Hamsun was wonderful. The staff and management were accommodating to our every request and made sure we were comfortable. We were able to get any amenity that we wanted. The room and bathroom were modern, stylish, and most importantly, clean. I would recommend Hamsun to anyone visiting the city for short or long term stays at a very affordable price.

This is by far the BEST guest house in karachi. Their customer service is way better than a 5 star hotels. We had a great time staying at hamsun for 10 days. Highly recommended for families and business travellers.

A fine guest house located on Main Shahrah e Faisal Karachi. Rooms were well managed. Iron & water dispenser was placed on every floor. There was also a nice terrace on the 2nd floor. Over recommended in the budget of 6000/- per night.

The location is excellent. Staff is very cooperative. Management is excellent. One of the most unique feature is instead of intercom they make a Whatsapp group of your room where all concerned persons are there and they respond in seconds. It's a very family place and secure.

I stayed for 4 Nights, everything during my stay was more than perfect. Well lighted Airy rooms, well maintained furniture and fixtures. Their hospitality, courtesy, and service was fantastic. Food was also up to the mark. Only one thing missing was LIFT. Highly recommended.

Location is secure, close to restaurants and shopping areas. Only suggestion I have is to install shower glass or curtain to prevent water spills. We were 2 females and we stayed one night and most importantly we felt absolutely safe. It's hard to find a place like this in Karachi. The room was very clean and sheets were new. All the utilities worked perfectly. There was hot water also. The service of the staff was amazing. Very kind staff they greeted with kindness and throughout the stay they showed a lot of respect. We felt absolutely comfortable and will come back here. The breakfast was also very tasty we had the halwa puri and sausages.

The room I stayed in was equipped with Ac, TV and luxurious washroom and all the amenities one would expect from a five star hotel. From USA, we stayed one month at Hamsun, excellent accommodating staff. Very helpful and humble crew. Rooms were good, i would recommend to stay at Hamsun. Last year I was in Pakistan I stayed at Marriott, Hamsun room are up to par with Marriott for half the price. On top of this I didn't get room service like Hamsun in Marriott.

We had a wonderful experience at Hamsun last month. High quality rooms which were clean and extremely comfortable. Cleanliness was definitely 10/10. The whole atmosphere of Hamsun was relaxing and based around wellness- especially having their delicious breakfast in the terrace area was one of our highlights. Both check-in and check-out were professionally handled including the invoicing which meant there were no hidden charges. Amenities such as food delivery, laundry and car hire made our trip even more pleasant. One of the best things about Hamsun is their staff- they went above and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. They were so cooperative, polite and always eager to help with a smile :) We were sad to leave Hamsun but at the same time we are so happy we found this place and will return as soon as we can.
