Birds Market (Parinda Market) is situated in Saddar, Karachi. It is located to the south of magnificent building of Empress market. It consist of a few shops that extend their space along the road during business hours. You can find many types of pet birds e.g. pigeons, parrots and many other types. Cats and rabbits can also be bought. Moreover, they have a variety of birds, pet foods, cereals, and pet cages. More to the south side you can also buy Fighter cocks (Desi Murgha) directly from the seller. It is busy after 10 especially on Sundays. If you are living or commuting in Saddar or nearby areas, and you need pet birds , their food or other related items, you should visit this place as your first preference.

Quite expensive, yet a very popular market to purchase birds mostly as they have very little quantity of pet animals, situated at the heart of Karachi, i got my sunconure parrot from there and she is a cute little playful bird. but this place needs attention from authorities as no cleanliness and SOP are being observed, whereas, most shop owners there does not pay attention to proper medication and vaccination of pets.

you have to have some knowledge about breeds, prices and how to check for healthy animals to shop from here. Basically this is the uprooted, Empress Market pet market section Mostly birds, some cats and dogs more exotic animals seen here include lizards, ostrich babies, the occasional monkey.

The Animals were put in makeshift small cages & were devasted by heat. These animals needs to be handled properly & with affection by the shopkeepers. The ambiance was also very unhygenic. I am amazed how this market is operating on footpaths without any action by authorities.

This was a rare experience indeed due to Empress Market backdrop, recently cleaned for encroachments. Its ideal for pet lovers as you get all sorts of pet categories from brids to cats to amphibians and everything in between. Prices have increased lately to about 15 to 20%( rough estimate) though much cheaper than locale specific pet shops.

You can find cats, dogs, parrots, and many other pets. I am concerned about the safety, health, and cleanliness of pets. These guys are getting a hell of profit out of these animals, yet no proper health care, cleanliness. Rates are too high, but you can bargain.

Parinda market is one of the largest bird market in Karachi there many more markets is in Karachi city but this one is in the center of Karachi city you can buy any kind of imported birds fancy bird and local breeder birds you can also buy pets like cats dogs rabbits and many more I have many time visit you can go any time but Sunday & Friday is good day because many local also reach here to sell their birds and pets.

After demolishing of old it's now in better place, airy not so crowded but not proper position/condition. It seems that this is a temporary arrangement by their selves not by city government. It's an industry/earnings, comprises on poor middle class people, based on hobby n necessity of life to servive with some what respected life.

Went there to see of our lost parrot had ended up being sold here. Extremely sad to see all kinds of animals in small cages in the heat.

I go every Sunday over there there's a lot of veraity of birds over there but be carefull of those fake sellers that sell u defected item or most importantly the people that are like black in colour and with a green parrot constantly licking them with there tongue to get there mind dizzy
