I have lived on this road for over 25 years, I find the Supermarkets (Cargills & Keells) cheaper & better quality most of the times. The vendors turn up on Saturday night, and prepare.. which includes SPRAYING OF RIPENING CHEMICALS for fruits. i have given up buying totally. Also a big hindarance for people.

Brilliant!! 1000 times better than a supermarket!! Supermarket managers and staff should visit Sunday markets more often, to learn and understand customer service and product quality!! These are qualities far more important than just wearing a shirt, tie, and trousers!!

This is a street market functioning only on Sundays. Vegetables, fruits and fish can be bought here. These are sold right beside the street and on the sidewalk (pavement) and at times directly from the vehicles they were brought in. If one goes early they will be able to buy produce farmed by small scale and local farmers. Good place to get the good old forgotten local types of yams.

I loved this place for fruits coconut and ground nuts, ofcourse there are some flowers pots too, typically my mind set into we have to support them, vendors coming from uva province, southern province etc, you can get some home grown items too, now days no buyers for their harvest, they are really disappointed, near by residents please go and give your hands to them

Karagampitiya sunday marked is the best place to get fresh vegetable ,fruits ,green leaves, fish , kitchen items ,plants , aquarium needs Its a big happening place , sundays always goes with a big traffic place in 176 bus rout starting point till the water board due to the fair. Most comes to the sunday fair due to the resonable price and good stuff

You can buy all the fruits and vegetables you want from here. But be careful with the prices. Because sometimes the vegetables are cheaper in super markets
