Stopped in to view the Shrine, the temizu was empty (no water) due to Covid. They had many smaller shrines around the perimeter which were interesting to visit.

A beautiful shrine, within walking distance of the Hikiyama museum. Both very good places to visit in Karatsu.

Beautiful quiet shrine. I recommend to stop by if you're in the area!

Karatsu Shrine, located just opposite the museum. Nice and peaceful place to stop by.

Shrine itself is very much like all others, but adjacent Floats museum is very interesting

Nothing special on this shrine, but it’s the most important in the city

visited twice! the first time i visited because of yuri on ice, and the second time was karatsu kunchi. i recommend staying away during kunchi if you dislike crowds, because kunchi draws 500,000 people to karatsu and to the shrine. if you want the full kunchi experience though, you should go for it.

My girlfriend and I visited because of Yuri on Ice and checked out some additional sights while in town. We were surprised to find that the shrine not only had various ceremonial instructions in English, but translated charms and fortunes, too!

A lovely shrine with many places to pray. Loved that people left prayers for one more season of Yuri!!! On Ice

It is close to the station, suitable for travelers without cars. It is worth visiting, not very lively, it is a wide but solemn shrine.

👍 The autumn leaves were very beautiful and I was glad that I could take a nice picture. Although it was a weekday, there were a lot of tourists and sightseeing buses were coming and going, so I waited for about 30 minutes before parking. It seems to be famous in the area where commercials were broad...
