Recently visited MeiKong Faisal Town on 9-Feb-23 Everything was superb, taste was excellent as compared to their other branches. Ambiance is too good. Their chicken with Pineapple Sauce was the showstopper. Loved every bit of our food. Recommended ≈========≈ Mei Kong is always good for its food quality and quantity Their half serving of each dish is more than enough for two persons So I'd suggest to order accordingly Don't like their WASABI prawns, they just taste like KFC Chicken All other dishes are good Not the best Chinese but a good option

I am big fan of their soup 19B and it use to be one of the finest one in town. But recently the quality is going down and cost is going up so fast. At least maintain the quality if you are increasing prices. The shrimps and mushrooms are getting less and less every time i order.

They have good variety in their menu. In winters specially their 19B soup is a must try. It contains pieces of shrimps, chicken, mushrooms. Fish and chips were also good.

Today, I had the "privilege" to visit one of the "esteemed" branches of this restaurant in Faisal Town. I visited their website and checked the menu, which stated that they served both Chinese and Continental cuisine. My family and I went there, and after we sat down, my mother and my brother helped themselves to a drumstick and some finger fish. However, we soon realized that they were only serving Chinese food. We approached the "Manager" and politely inquired if it was possible to order from the regular menu instead of the buffet, as the website had indicated that they offered Continental cuisine as well. The manager started arguing, and we even offered to pay for one buffet. He insisted, "You should pay for two buffet meals, and please don't eat from the buffet, as two of your family members have already started." We explained that the food on my mother's plate was completely untouched and questioned why we should pay for two buffet meals. He then said, "Remove the plate with untouched food," and it seemed like they put that food back into the buffet trays, which is both morally and hygienically unacceptable. We paid for one buffet, but we could hear them arguing. They also charged us for a water bottle, which we accepted. Now, I truly understand why there was only one table booked for the buffet, as the entire restaurant was practically empty. Although I didn't try their food, their service was extremely poor, and the manager's behavior was unacceptable. It felt as though he was watching us closely, as if we were thieves planning to steal from their meager four-dish buffet. I would never recommend anyone to visit this place due to its subpar food, terrible customer service, unprofessional staff behavior, and outdated practices.

The food is so so good but what's wrong with the managerial staff. We hate it. They didn't listen to us. Made us wait so long when we asked them if outdoor is available or not. Turned out it was never available and they chose not to tell us. Well food was so yumm. Totally recommend the food not the restaurant.

Its a chinese restaurant but doesn't make good Chinese at all. Pineapple on fried rice and in sweet sour chicken is rotten. Tempura prawns and soups are okay. It seems that its a good Chinese restaurant but in reality its not. Been their twice... And its very very expensive not worth it.

We tried their Hot & Spicy soup with fish crackers in appetizer. Then we ordered their egg fried rice with Chicken Szechuan (spicy) and Chicken Cheese Kastoori boti. In the desert we ordered their Molten Lava and Mei Kong Special Ice cream. One thing we regret about the fish crackers, we thought that it will be the actual fish pieces that will be fried. When we received the order, it was actually the snacks 🥲. All of the above items taste was outstanding and up to the mark. Although rates are quite high. The total bill was around 10k for 4 people.

Not the place for fine dining or food lovers. You are better served ordering their food at home. The soup was served cold ... Ordered two different "jambo" prawns and another large prawns chef served the same dish twice no difference... No gap between appetizers and entres... Served everything together... No space on the table .... Menu may have hundred items but every dish in same catagory has same flavors and same sauces.

We placed an order for karahi, soup, and other items. The bill is enclosed for your reference. Unfortunately, the karahi was not cooked properly. We brought this to the attention of the staff and requested them to cook it thoroughly. However, upon receiving it again, we found that it still wasn't adequately cooked. Behavior of staff is not professional. I don't recommend this restaurant.

Went for a dinner after reading some good reviews. The ambiance was good. Parking is bit of an issue but you can use vallet service. Restaurant staff is friendly and welcoming. However the reason for 3 stars is the food. It was at best an average Chinese cuisine. Taste was rather bland and wasn't very authentic. The air conditioning wasn't working where we were seated but upon multiple complaints they put the pedestal fan, which helped with the hot conditions. I would not go back.

Worst experience ever!!! Unhygenic food with Pathetic taste. I ordered soup and battered prawns. Soup had starchy lumps in it and the after taste was so bad. Prawns were cold too. I asked the waiter to change the prawns and he just warm them in a microwave due to which the became soggy. Poor service and rude staff. Overall a regrettable experience. Not recommended at all.

I don't usually eat Chinese but it was a good experience to have lunch here. The ambiance was good, food service was average, taste was good and the last but not the least environment was great. Food serving is "itna sara khana". Packed and took that home with me.

Good place for new comes to lahore, for locals I would skip. Wet table cloth, previous person spilled water maybe. Service poor. Not sure how they treated our food (didn't feel comfortable). Very expensive (didn't want to split our full chow mien into half rice half noodle instead wanted to charge us 80% of full plate price for each . Which Imran lied about said it was going to be 60% full plate price + 60% fried rice price but instead charged 80% full chow mien + 80% full fried rice when the bill actually came) The manager was present. He was not warm or catering. Customer should always be right. Even if they are wrong they should be strategic in the way to refuse customer needs (eg I need better seating, make sure the option available at the restaurant like 12 tables that were empty - should be the one that the customer is happy with. Out table top had a wet cloth that was annoying to sit over, and the white sheets were dirty) The buffet is the only thing you should come in for. It's 1400 RS something. Did not feel COMFORTABLE. too many employees walking around non of them with a caring look. Waiting to be HornDogs maybe? Not many females around maybe? Lazy poor communication. Visited a few days ago for the second anniversary event of Bpro, which is a really nice place. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent.

Rates are high and the dishes are not justifing prices. Quantity is too low. They serve in hot plates and 2 ppl can hardly fill their belly. Quality is like average, its same as you have on local chinese shops. Invited 16 ppl, bill was around 24k with no excessive ordering. It was even apperaring that all quests didn't ate at their full.

Food quality and quantity both are very good. The staff is also very well mannered. Beef steaks have good taste.

İn this Ramadan, I had iftar there and I am highly satisfied with their service. I went there with my senior and a friend. We all enjoyed the taste and appreciated their dragon chilli chicken ( I guess I am confusing the name). The taste of the dish was exemplary. Highly recommended. Overall experience 9/10

Atmosphere and service is good but the taste is not Upto that level. I am eating their food since my childhood from their Fortress Stadium outlet. This was my first time when I visited their Faisal town branch. I feel a great difference in taste and quantity and the presentation of food. But overall they serve you a good taste of Chinese cuisine.

The most pathetic experience me and my family had at dinner today where we were served with stale food. Highly expensive and yet “zero” quality specially of their gravy. Not fresh at all. I’d request @Punjab Food Authority team to visit their kitchen and I’m pretty sure they would apply heavy penalties (and possibly closure for a few days). Not going there again ever. Not recommended at all - don’t spend your hard earned money at this place.

Not a good experience, we sat on the first floor and asked the staff to take order 3 times. On the third attempt to place the order, it seemed as the staff cold distant and annoyed. . So, we left !!! . Meikong used to be awesome. Now its seem's dirty, no atmosphere, no service. . Very disappointing !!!

Violating Government's order on no indoor dining due to Corona. Restuarant is serving people at upper floor. Interior looks like anything but Chinese. Even the soup served is in normal white bowls instead of those Chinese bowls with Chinese designs

The food was delicious but it's a bit more spicy here than in mei Kong (Islamabad). The wonton noodle soup was sooo good and had level up when we added the chilli paste, soy sauce and chili vinegar. I love the special fried rice as it has lots of almonds and had a one slice of pineapple with a cherry on top. I remember before in mei kong Islamabad, there were pineapple tidbits in the fried rice, but now there was just a one slice on top with a cherry. The ambiance was nice and cozy, but it would have been more comfortable if they turn on some more of their AC that would make the temperature atleast 24 degrees. The place looks classy and elegant. The staff were quick, courteous and attentive. The only downside and disappointed me was when I saw that the leftover food we had them packed was just put in a plastic shopper. I didn't expect that for a fine restaurant like mei kong. I didn't have that experience in mei kong Islamabad, there they packed the leftover food in an aluminum foil box. Despite that, I would still recommend this restaurant to my family and friends and I might advise them to try to finish all the food so that there will be no leftover food to be packed.
