One of the oldest and prestigious traditional buffet restaurants in Lahore is bang with a bang after a small hiatus. Village went on a complete makeover post pandemic lockdown and is back with an amazing new look serving the best traditional local cuisine buffet in town. Allahumdulilah fabulous experience.

Traditional desi a lot of hi tea items. Pure desi items included with great number of desserts too along with ice creams and kulfi station. The ambiance and multiple stations for different eatries are really good. Beef kabab were amazing and many other items as well.

I have visited this place after such a long time and I have to say that their taste is so much improved. I had the dinner buffet here which was quite in a normal range nowadays. However the menu was quite vast and there was so much variety of food. Kudos to the administration. I just have a Little complain, when i asked the waiter for Mint Margarita he refused that they don't have it and couple of minutes later the table besides me got 5 glasses of those. I don't know why he said that maybe it wasn't in the buffet

Was invited on a Sehri Buffet. It was classy! Menu was best selection, very balanced and diversified. Taste, of most of the items, was absolutely scrumptious!!! Very good ambience and extremely well managed. The service staff was active and best servers. Obviously recommended!!!!

Went to Salt & Pepper Village on MM Alam Road. The buffet had a wide variety of food. Traditional food was in abundance. Food test and quality was very good. The buffet had more than 50 dishes. The ambiance was great and Very good. Service is also good. Desserts are also plentiful. A good option for breakfast in Lahore where there is a wide variety of food.

One of the most oldest restaurant chain to offer Hi Tea and buffet dinner ..Enviroment and decore depicts a tradional desi theme and food is a combination of desi , continental and chineese..They offer Hi tea in two shifts 2-4 and 4-6 (Im not sure) Charges are 1495 plus tax for Hi Tea and 1995 for the buffet dinner..make reservations before going to avoid any inconvenience..

Live music, with cold drinks being served, a really nice village like atmosphere, almost every thinkable Desi dish is served in their hi tea, well with the exception of lassi 😅 their gulab jamuns, firni, jalebi, ice cream, are something to savour must!

After many years I have visited Salt and Pepper Village M M Alam road but sorry to say that it's taste was not up to the mark.... Not a single dish was worth of taste except Mutton karahi which was comparitively better.... Rate was very high approx 3400/head....

There is buffet system so everyone can try food of thier own choice. Taste of some food items need improvement but overall its good. Service is also good. Atmosphere is peaceful as well as you can enjoy live music (on a funny note: singer can sing any song in a qawali style).

Salt and Pepper Village on MM Alam Road is budget-friendly, which is a plus. However, I was disappointed with the taste of the food during my visit. They are not offering ala cart just dinner buffet. But they accommodate us with ala cart. The flavors didn't quite match up to the mark. Despite the prices is ok but taste is a crucial factor in a dining experience, and it fell short here.

Needs Improvement Village restaurant needs a little uplift though it maintains its quality and quantity of food. Some items are good, some are not so good, and some are even less than not-so-good. But it is a good place to invite your friends as you don't have to ask your guest to take more as there is always something that they might like. It is impossible to get Batair here and you can get some if you can line up and wait for 15 minutes Food taste 10/8 Food quality 10/9 Service 10/9 Recommend if you want to try Desi Foods Fawaad Iqbal

Variety of different foods including almost all desi dishes plus Chinese and some continental. Quality of food was not bad. Atmosphere was just okay. Overpriced Rs.2300. Per head Buffet. I paid almost Rs.10,000 for for 2 children and 2 adults. The max they can charge in comparison to food and atmosphere shouldn't be more than Rs.1500. At least I wouldn't go back there again for a long time.

One of the most recognized and payoneers of buffet/Hi tea in Lahore. Electric environment. Third visit and the food is excellent again. Their variety is huge. Don't understand why they don't offer drinks in buffet.

I visited the place after couple of years and found it to be less traditional and more congested, after the last renovation /space adjustment. The overall ambiance was however pleasant and the staff was very courteous as always. Most of the dishes were nicely cooked and tasty. The serving of Naan / Roti etc on the table was not convenient for me as I could not enjoy Desi dishes, first due to cold / hard Naan/Roti and then due to long wait for the serving at table. I myself went to the Tandoor for fresh Roti but I was denied and told to wait at the table. Beef Nehari was average but the absence of Khamiri Roti made it even below average. My previous few visits had been for dinner so found the variety of main course a bit deficient in the lunch. Overall it was a nice experience for the family, with still plenty of dishes inspite of the earlier mentioned deficiencies/ shortcomings.

We went to buffet dinner. Place was very crowded and congested. Hate the ambiance. Food was ok. I am not a fan of desi foods. There were dishes like 'ghiya' and 'saag' and 'alu ki bhujia' which you dont even prefer to eat in daily routine over mutton etc. So personally i think there were more of this random stuff there. Some of the things that caught my eye were, falooda station, khoye wali kulfi, golgappy, fried batair. Chinese tasted awful. Do not try it at all. There are way more better options than this and i do not want to visit this place in the future

Good combination of desi/traditional and western food. Their mutton champs are recommended. At the end one thing is missing which is tea or coffee.

This is a wonderful place for having lunch or dinner. It has maximum variety of food in the buffet. Local food, some Chinese food, bar BQ. Immense quantity and quality. Variety of soft drinks, sweet dishes. Fresh fruits and lot more. I love this place.

Always have best food experience from Village Salt'n Pepper. They only problem or suggestion for them is that they should offer a soft drink with their buffets or High teas. Good food and good ambiance.

A perfect case of bad hospitality. We were with friends. Went on hi tea with friends we were meeting after a long time. They immediately turned off the air-conditioning as soon as the hi tea timings ended and soon after the lights. Very bad experience. These people do not know what hospitality is. Pathetic culture.

I visited Salt N Pepper village today with my client from England, not a single item was tasty. they were selling 250 RS cup of kashmiri chaye, trust me a person on the road can sell tasty tea as compared to these non sense people. if you are really looking for lahori taste, its not a place for you. NOT RECOMMENDED!

The Buffet dinner at Salt n pepper village mm alam has long been known as one of the best buffets in town. Those who have been here as kids may be washed over with a sense of nostalgia upon stepping into the resturant's entrance which has managed to retain much of its classic charm over the years. I recently revisited it in hopes of finding out whether their fresh desi food and other dishes are still as good as we remember them to be. I must say foid was scrumptous and fresh, it's worth a visit!

One of the best places for Buffett in lahore. Food taste delicious and has large variety of pakistani dishes. Loved karahi, bbq, biryani, haleem, fish and many more. All tastes great. Don't forget the sweets and specially kulfi. They have open kitchen with live cooking stations for most dishes. It's all indoor and they have ample sitting area. Parking is not an issue as their is valet service available. Ambiance is 10/10. Do visit the place if you enjoy having Buffett dinners.

What a disappointment! You'd think when you spend nearly 4k per person including tax and drink, you'd get great food and reasonable service but not here. Totally bland food! I literally had to spit one of the dessert items as it tasted like raw flour. Everything except beef kebab and chappal kebab were tasteless and flavorless.

Buffett was arranged for 17 persons. Overall its ok but it needs to take care of small things. For example, sweet dishes had a lot of sugar that only one teaspoon is enough to fill your appetite for sweet dish. Ice cream was not good. Also doesn't have enough variety of foods to eat. But for the first experience its fine.

  • 4/5 Azhar abbas k. 4 years ago on Google
Its was good, actually quite nice experience of our German guest accompanied with us, he like interior designing which is stunning in traditional ways, food was also good and he like it. But honestly speaking I don't like food that much, i have visited it multiple time but doesn't like its taste that much, as its not well cooked, like mutton chops smells as its raw meat. Need to improve it.

The food tasted amazing. Every dish was a treat on its own from the buffet of 30+ dishes. You can't eat all the dishes in one day. On the contrary, it's a bit on the expensive side. Taste: 9/10 Ambiance: 8/10 Service: 7/10 Price: 6/10

  • 4/5 Mudassar I. 4 years ago on Google
Visited recently and surprisingly found best quality and taste of food available. Hospitality is better. Suggest people look to spend good time while have dinner must try. Especially their try to create a village-seems look is great. Prices are fairly reasonable to the services. Come and enjoy your visit.

Salt n pepper village restaurant at MM Alim road lahore is a nice place for desi food lovers. It provides a close look of a typical village that unfortunately does not exist 100 percent now a days. But people who lived in 80s definitely know all the things shown there to show a complete picture of a village. Food is good. A must visit place with children to give them a glimps of village life.

  • 5/5 Saud C. 4 years ago on Google
A very nice place for buffet. Tried almost everything, all of which was delicious. Valet parking also available. Only downside was that the customers did not the etiquettes to sit and eat, they would place something on their plate and start eating right there, blocking the path for others. A person should be designated to politely all them to return to their seats.

Disappointment...!!! The crockery was also quite old and had scratches on it. Staff was also not custious and harsh a bit wheile you serve yourself on the food court. But above anything else, it's all about taste and variety of food. Sadly saying, the food was average in taste and the representation in food hall was not impressive at all. Village was once a good restaurant but now it has lost its charm tbh. I recommend considering other buffet restaurants in that range that offer much better seating, crockery and dining environment than Village.

See Punjab If you were to not only see traditional good old Punjab but also get a taste of it, Village is the place. Had been going there since 2006 and my love fir it always grows more and more. That time it was a trip to rural Punjab but now it’s a trip down to memory lane and history. Taste is top notch and variety is so much that you will plan you next visit instead. But the best part is the interior and the ambiance. The mode it puts you in with little help from the classical singers there. Must visit if you are in Lahore.

It's no more a village now since you can have much better food quality if you want to eat in the village environment. The food quality is totally nominal and no food can inspire you if you are a taste lover. They need to improve taste instead of adding stupid items which even the Paindoos like me don't like to taste.

The place is surely a great place for people that have not experienced village life before and typical desi food items, with the variety and taste of each item , this place is a must visit

Variety and number of dishes was good however a lot of dishes lacked the element of taste. The certainly are focusing on quantity of dishes rather the quality. Moreover the pictures shared by food critics and food forum owners are very different from the actual food served on any normal day. This in turn reflects badly on the critics/forum owners and the restaurants involved in this fake advertising.

I requested online dinner reservation for 9 persons for 1st jan'22 at 7:30. First, I was informed about the non availability of table, then I received an email at 7:56 pm informing me that my reservation has been approved for 7:30 pm. Isn't it a Pathetic & non professional behaviour??? How could you expect a person making reservation for 7:30 to reach the place when you are informing him at 7:56 pm ?????. Really disappointing & pathetic customer service. Either improve your online services or just shut it down

When I bought the necklace, I was looking for something beautiful to wear on my wedding day. It's an extremely gorgeous piece of jewelry and MJ was very prompt when it came to answering all my questions.

Good family place for food. Ambience is nice alongside the food which is wide in varieties. Buffet lunch, high tea and dinner are full of various dishes and let one choose as per ones tastes. One must plan carefully ones visit keeping in mind the disastrous traffic on MM Alam road especially in evenings

Tried their hi-tea. Items/dishes list was good but didn't like the taste a lot. However, the interior design is really good.

The place was good and you can enjoy quality time with your family and friends. I experienced sehri buffet here. Its a indoor sitting all good except the food. Chines dishes was very good cooked but the Pakistani food was average here. Atmosphere was good. Beverage will be charged separately. Menu was good.

An OK experience. The ambiance was good, live music made the experience fun. Number of items in Hi tea cum lunch buffet was great but the taste of majority of dishes was ordinary.

Visited for Iftar dinner buffet (Rs. 3,000 per head). All food items were very delicious. Despite the restaurant was crowded, the staff managed the buffet very well and there was no shortage of any of the food items. Value for money

Been there more times than I can remember. Always love everything they have. One of the best Desi Buffet in the town.

Amazing food by quality and quantity service was quick and spot on. out of tens of dishes they didn't let a single one go out for more than a few minutes. but the thing that ruined the experience was the congested place relative to no of customers. they should decrease the booking or increase the sitting space as it was giving the vibe of a desi typical wedding with 'khana khul gya' feels. other than that. all good

One of the finest and most mind-blowing food buffets one could ever come across. They serve Pakistani, Chinese, and Desi food. They serve vegetarian, chicken, meat, and sea food dishes. They serve soups, salads, sweets, and drinks (hot and cold). The place can be quite crowded, and so finding proper service by waiters might come with some delays. There is reasonable parking on-site.

There is buffet system so everyone can try food of thier own choice. Service is also good. Atmosphere is peaceful as well as you can enjoy live music (on a funny note: singer can sing any song in a qawali style).

👍👍 I love to savour food more than my girlfriend. The taste is consistent for the last 7 years. Pulao kebab is the best seller in this restaurant. Also must try its margarita.

👍👍 Monal is always among top of my favorites. Everytime the experience gets bettet. Thier welcome drink is a gesture which worth a word as even better restaurants than Monal are not offering welcome drinks, some do the crackers though. Food is always finger licking, Atmosphere is way better than Indigo...
