This place is great if you want to learn to ski or snowboarding, the area is very large so you can practice comfortably. Also, they have a kids arena, so it's perfect for family trips. If you don't have ski or snowboarding equipment, don't worry, lots of equipment for rent is very affordable. If you feel hungry during your activities, they have many restaurants inside the arena, so you don't have to change your shoes and you can continue playing afterwards.

Great resort. Big enough to enjoy for a two day trip; good quality snow, family friendly. Efficient operations. Probably one of the best options within a three hour drive from Tokyo, and the roads are cleared of snow which means you don’t have to bother with chains for your tires!

Great ski resort. Lines not long all. Multiple different levels of difficulty. Has activities for children. Multiple places to eat with great selections for food. English friendly. Staff is very nice and will help you if needed. Reasonably priced for a good day and night when available.

Every year I ski here. Very good snow. A lot of ski runs.

Great resort. Really nice gradient on runs. Would be five star but getting there by train and bus is not easy. It is doable, but means you will only get half days in when traveling from Tokyo. I want to go again!

So many variety of courses, flat and moguls, many chairlifts and a gondola, and the best thing is very good powder snow. Very close and convenient from Tokyo. Shiisaka Bypass tunnels made it even easier. My best place to go sking!

One of the biggest resorts I’ve been to in Gunma! In my opinion, this is a mountain built for skiers, which I loved. Some of the runs are even groomed during the day to keep things clean. So many options for runs, and despite lots of cars in the parking lot, the mountain never felt crowded even on a national holiday. I want to go back soon! Also, be aware there is a bit of the walk between the parking lot and ski base area so be ready to trek!

One of the best places to ski in Japan. Less than 3 hours drive from Tokyo via Japan’s fast and efficient network of expressways and tunnels. Great experience with family.
