What a beautiful place! The view on the Koggola Lake is amazing. Rooms are wonderful furnished, modern minimalistic, but all the same very inviting. The atmosphere is great, monkeys with babies running around in the garden, everything is so maintained. Fresh air and no traffic sound, ideal for having a relaxed time with high quality. The way to the hotel is a little adventure, small roads with village life. Who is looking for a 5- star resort is here at the right place.

Kurulu Bay is the most beautiful property we have ever stayed at. The service is impeccable, the staff went above and beyond to create a fabulous experience for us, specially our 8 month old baby. Kurulu Bay is just small enough and secluded enough that you feel like you have this little paradise all to yourself, however, a busy beach is just a few kilometres away if you feel like a change of pace. We had a couple of excursions planned but ended up staying 2 of our 5 days just relaxing on the property. The staff at the kitchen was wonderful, they were kind enough to make us meals outside of the menu and even offered to prepare baby food for our baby. The miso butter cauliflower is so delicious even my husband who does not eat vegetables ordered it 2 nights in a row. I would like to give a special appreciation for the hotel GM, Pieter. His high touch approach and warm and welcoming manner is a benchmark for a luxury boutique hotelier. We can not wait to be back.

Five stars are not enough to rate this place. It's not just a hotel, not even a home away from home, it takes you beyond what you expect, and makes you wish you'd never have to leave. With high attention to detail, the location, the staff, the rooms, the food... everything is perfect.

Kurulu Bay is a truly magical escape. Tucked away from the busy and loud roads offering tranquillity and relaxation with a beautiful sunset lake view under the palm trees. The architecture and design is beautiful and carefully styled with lots of attention to the details, which is rare to see. It is an absolutely outstanding tropical paradise, service is exceptional and food is so delicious. I can't recommend more!

Great place to chill. Lovely and tasty food also great staff. But make sure you follow the path for “crocodile rock hotel” on maps then you can easily find there. Otherwise it directs you to a non-existing ferry

Kurulu Bay blew us away. The accomodation is stunning and it is an incredible experience that you will never forget. The property has been built around the trees, making you feel like you’re living amongst nature. There are so many beautiful animals around and we loved watching the monkeys, birds, squirrels, mongoose and lizards wondering around the property. The food and staff were also world class. A special thank you to Peta for being so accomodating and making us feel completely at home. Do not hesitate to book your stay at Kurulu Bay, it’s a must!

Very sightseeing place. Wonderful naturalistic environment with the great view of the Koggala Lake. An amazing wind throughout the day, it was such a cool vibe. This place has a relaxing atmosphere. Food and drinks were very delicious with many varieties. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean and comfortable with great facilities. This was a super luxury villa. I highly recommend this place for anyone who want to have a comfortable stay in a quite relaxing environment.

I absolutely recommend Kurulu Bay! 100% . It's hands down one of the finest luxury hotel experiences in Sri Lanka. If you're on the hunt for a genuine nature getaway, look no further than Kurulu Bay. The staff is incredibly friendly, and I have to give a special shout-out to Peter and the rest of the team for their exceptional assistance. The rooms are not only impeccably clean but also offer excellent privacy. Their attention to detail in every aspect of design, from interiors to the outdoor spaces, strikes a perfect balance between minimalism and contemporary style with 100% open to nature. 🍃 Also, they have a charming boutique, a restaurant with incredible food, a relaxing spa, even a dedicated spot for yoga right by the koggala lake and also a little library , a delightful bonus. Our experience there was truly amazing, and I'm confident yours will be too!
