The good - food was great, especially the mutton butter masala! Also the naans were very good (garlic and cheese ones). The bad - we came with a vegetarian friend, and it took forever for her dish to come out. So meanwhile we were eating the meat dishes and she was hungry :( but that might be only a mishap. Also, you can skip the chicken tandoori.

I found this place the first night I arrived in Kathmandu and have been a regular ever since, throughout all 3 weeks of my time here. It can be easy to miss when you're walking through Thamel, but a visit here is definitely worth your time. I've tried the chilly chicken, tandoori chicken, and chow mein, and all 3 dishes were incredible! I meant to try more of the menu, but the chicken chow mein was so good that I ended up getting that almost every time I came! The staff is incredibly friendly, the food is fantastic, and the prices can't be beat. Even having tried a variety of different food in the city, from street carts to steak houses, Shree Lumbinin Tandoori & Naan House has ended up being my go-to place for most dinners. And don't forget to grab some of the garlic naan! Their naan is, without exaggeration, some of the best I've ever had. Don't miss out on this delicious and affordable spot when you're in Kathmandu, you won't regret it!

Chicken Kima Naan was good and filling at the same time. Milk tea was good with the right amount of thickness and color composition which indicated a consistent amount of Tea. One minor complaint: cleanliness of the restroom/toilet should be prioritized, same thing to the availability of liquid hand soap.

It looks very small and dark, but there is an area out back with more tables. The food is fantastic and clean. Please come by to try out their Aloo Jeera, Butter Masala and Garlic Naans. The best naan I ever had! Very nice and friendly boss and staff. Great masala chai too!

Possibly my favourite meals in Nepal have been here! The chicken curry and paneer butter masala are a perfect match for the freshly cooked naan bread. The garlic naan had me dancing for joy in my seat, but on my second visit the cheese, potato and keema naan were also exceptional. Will be trying to squeeze in one more trip before we leave.

Delicious and affordable! I had the Palak Paneer (180 Rs.) and a Butter Naan (70 Rs.) and the taste was perfect for a quick lunch in a casual restaurant. Would definitely recommend.

Pls dun let the dodgy outlook of this restaurant fool you. They serve one of the best food in Kathmandu. Not to miss are the garlic naan, the paneer/chicken butter masala, tandoori and aloo jeera (potatoes) and masala chai (tea). Yet to try other stuffs but I believe is equally outstanding as well. Excellent boss/staff and service. From Singapore

Great, busy little food haunt popular with locals and a small number of in-the-know tourists. Food is good, cheap and the people are very nice. Best naan breads in Kathmandu!

A must try restaurant for anyone visiting Thamel. We found ourselves coming back here everyday to try the different dishes, and everything was delicious! A mix of locals and tourists, with very welcoming and friendly staff.

My friend Birodh brought me here after I asked about getting authentic Nepali food that doesn’t cater to the international tourist market. I’ve been in Nepal for 2 months and this is some of the best food I’ve had. It is a small place with kind people. I will miss this when I have to go home.

Loved the plain naan, mutton curry, palak paneer and chicken tandoori. The service was friendly and quick. Here's the place to get a delicious meal at a good price.

Delicious! And they know their allergens, so safe to ask and order depending on your allergy (dairy free, gluten free).

Nice place to sit and have food or coffee, its green place with many plants. the staff also friendly. Food prices average but expensive than other local restaurants in Kathmandu.

Lumbini Tandoori & Naan House is a pleasant dining establishment offering a variety of cuisine. The food is generally flavorful, with a good selection of tandoori dishes and naans. However, the service can be a bit slow during busy times, so it's best to plan accordingly. Overall, it's a decent option for those craving Indian flavors in a casual setting.

One would barely notice the small hidden restaurant and just walk by... Luckily we didn't because the food was delicious, best naan and paneer butter masala I've had in weeks in Nepal, we came here repeatedly during our stay in Kathmandu and we just loved it:)

My wife and I ate here three times during our stay in Kathmandu. We tried several of the veg curries and I got some Tandoori chicken as well one night. Everything thing was excellent. The garlic naan was next level. The staff are helpful and friendly and the meals are real value for money. Would highly recommend.
