Mahepi Mandir lies at Mahepi, about 500m east from Balaju Bridge, Kathmandu is famous for worshipping goodness, site seeing, morning & evening walk. It's situated in the small hill top next to balaju Bridge. The forest area has been depleted so much. The area still reverberates very high level of spritual aura. It's one of the major goddesses worshipped by newar and hindu communities. Jai mheppi ajima!

It's a good place for mental relaxing , on the other side it's a temple it gives you peace and there is also little place for kids playing stuff. It's quite good for morning exercise as well as we can do parafeet training.

Having to climb up slightly steep steps when you reach the temple it feels like peace even with noises from the bells.

Mhepi Ajima Temple is one of the Ajima Temple in Mhepi Marg, Kathmandu. Ajima (Nepal Bhasa:) is a group of goddesses of the Newar pantheon. These goddesses are respected by all sects and castes of Newars, both from Hindu and Buddhist religion. The word "Ajima" comes from two Nepal Bhasa words, "Aji" meaning grandmother and "Ma" meaning mother. Ajimas were the most respected deities. These deities are revered by both Hindus and Buddhists. She is regarded as the protector of children as well. Mhepi Azima Temple located in Ward No. 16 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City. This temple is located in the upper part of Mhepi. The Mhepi Azima Temple in the middle of the greenery can be reached in about 20 to 30 minutes by climbing the steep stairs. There are various temples on the left side of the main entrance of the temple. The idol of Mhepi Azima is in the middle and there are idols of various deities on the right and left. There are inscriptions written about the temple in the temple premises and there are also temples of various other deities.
