Great
organization
that
operates
super
professional.
Everything
was
perfect
from
start
to
finish.
Nothing
to
complain
about.
Trip:
rating
A
We
booked
a
private
group
for
two
in
late
October
2023.
Total
price
including
sleeping
bag,
down
jacket,
hotel
pickup/dropoff,
flights,
accommodation,
guide,
porter,
3x
food
per
day
and
a
personal
farewell
dinner
with
the
MD
after
the
trip
was
USD1300
pp.
After
getting
picked
up
at
the
Hotel
by
our
guide
(Hom)
at
5am
we
drove
to
KTM
airport
by
taxi.
We
were
one
of
few
lucky
ones
to
get
upgraded
to
a
direct
flight
from
KTM
to
Lukla
free
of
charge
from
Outfitter,
even
tho
we
originally
booked/paid
for
the
bus/flight
from
Ramechhap
that
would've
been
cheaper.
*
Day
1:
After
arriving
in
Lukla
we
started
our
3h
hike
to
Phakding
were
we
stayed
the
first
night.
*
Day
2:
5h
Climbing
up
to
Namche
via
beautiful
bridges.
*
Day
3:
Acclimatization
in
Namche
with
a
short
but
steep
4h
return
hike
to
Mount
Everest
View
Hotel.
*
Day
4:
7h
to
Dole
starting
with
a
easy
walk
that
had
some
steep
downhill
parts
followed
by
a
steady
climb.
*
Day
5:
Continuing
the
climb
to
Machhermo
for
4h.
First
time
above
4000m
and
some
got
hard
time
with
altitude
-
Diamox
recommended!
*
Day
6:
Going
all
the
way
to
Gokyo
in
about
4h.
Passing
the
the
lakes
1,
2
and
3.
All
pure
beauty.
*
Day
7:
starting
early
around
6am
going
up
the
pass
via
the
3rd
lake.
Super
steep
climb
to
5350m
with
very
thin
air
above
4500m.
Once
at
top
rewarded
with
killer
views
on
both
sides
of
the
pass.
Descending
via
a
beautiful
valley
all
the
way
to
Thame.
All
together
took
about
10h
including
breaks/lunch.
*
Day
8:
Heading
for
a
long
descent
to
Manjo
via
Namche.
All
takes
about
6h.
*Day
9:
5h
to
Lukla
to
fly
back
out.
Flight
was
about
1h
and
afterwards
we
were
dropped
at
our
hotel.
Again
we
were
lucky
on
the
way
out
as
we
got
a
spontaneous
helicopter
flight
instead
of
the
plane/bus.
Like
before
Outfitter
didn't
charge
any
extra
for
this
upgrade!
Guide:
rating
A+
Our
guide
was
Hom.
He
is
45y
old
and
workes
as
a
guide
in
Nepal
for
more
than
25y.
Super
knowledgeable
and
able
to
explain
all
sights
&
cultural
aspects
in
perfect
English.
He
motivated
us
on
steep
parts
and
took
care
when
we
were
in
need
due
to
altitude
sickness.
He
always
helps
to
pick
the
best
meal
on
the
menu
and
is
always
down
for
a
good
and
honest
chat.
I
highly
recommend
him!
Huts/Lodges:
rating
B
Most
rooms
are
good.
All
have
blankets
but
none
had
any
type
of
heating.
Dining
area
all
had
heating,
however
only
above
4000m
the
fire
was
on.
Toilets
vary
as
some
lack
proper
hygiene,
but
I
doubt
other
places
around
looked
any
different.
Paid
hot
showers
and
WIFI
is
also
available
in
most
places,
but
keep
in
mind
that
prices
will
increase
as
you
move
to
higher
altitude
(shower
~500rp,
WIFI
~400rp).
Food:
rating
B
Surprisingly
good
selection
of
different
foods
from
pizza
to
pasta,
momos
and
of
course
all-you-can-eat
dal
bhat.
We
ate
good
but
still
managed
to
upset
our
stomach.
Not
sure
if
due
to
food
or
altitude,
or
a
combination
of
both.
For
drinks
we
mostly
had
tea.
