You can visit this park by paying a very small fee. It looks nice because of the fountains and greenery. The main attraction is the large structure in the middle of the park. It is a miniature model of nepal showing all the mountains and land structures. It is dedicated to the people who lost their lives or became disabled in the war. A nice quiet place to see in always crowded Kathmandu city.

The park looks quite big and relatively clean. It has a map of Nepal that shows different mountain ranges and rivers of the country. There are pillars each dedicated to the ones who were abducted, disabled, kidnapped and lost their lives during the Maoist insurgency. This place seems ideal for a morning/evening walk. However, I felt it needs maintenance in certain parts. The ticket price is 50 NRs.

Car parking is costly in Kathmandu, but it is free parking here. 50₹ for entry. But worth a stop for a photo with the flag

This is newly constructed park after the demolishment of monarchy system from Nepal. It is situated in the compound of Narayanhiti Museum (Previously known as Narayanhiti Palace). The shots taken by me is from the roof of my office. It is still not opened for the public.

🎁✌☕✊💞 The total compound of historical Narayanhity is quite a large one of which a part of it had to necessarily be made a usable people´s park in Kathmandu. It´s said to be dedicated to the martyrs in founding Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal; and has constructed by the assistance of N.Army which looks magnificent. The park is hoped to and should be used more better than the garden of dreams with minimal ticket fee for the nepalese general public. 🌹🌹🌹

beautiful park! Ticket fee is only Rs.50! If you wanna just visit the park and there's a place for parking as well inside if you want to! It's not that outstanding but compared to the price! It's more than enough!

A good step towards the acknowledgement of all the deceeded and disabled during the civil war, to honor the brave souls that helped maintain peace, and those who made peace pact a reality to end the war.

To the east of the Narayanhiti Palace, in the heart of Kathmandu, lies a park sprawling over 35 ropanis. There are gardens and stone-paved walkways, along with a giant elliptical structure with four pedestals, one in each cardinal direction. But there are no people in the park, as its gates have never opened to the public. Construction of the Ganatantra Smarak, or Republic Memorial, began in March 2012. Despite the fanfare it received from then-prime minister Baburam Bhattarai, the park has been a muddled memorial, unclear on what and who it is commemorating. The Home Ministry, which is charged with deciding who to commemorate, has yet to decide whose stories will be displayed on the memorial.

Not upto the expectations. Poorly managed, need to pay entrance fee but not fully operational.
