Norn Talay Surin Beach Phuket

Hotel

😠 Stay away from this place. The beach is nice but that's about it. We had a booking for two nights but left after one. It is very very very run down hotel and feels like even housekeeping gave up. Stains everywhere, dirty windows, dirty mirrors and the smell 😮‍💨Moved rooms in the middle of the... People often mention beach,

That view! Our balcony overlooking the Andaman Sea was absolutely sensational. Although the hotel itself is a little worn, the room was sparkling clean, the sheets were crisp and the service was warm, friendly and efficient. It's a two-minute steep walk to the beach, one of the loveliest on the island. And you can watch the squirrel highway early in the morning or later in the evening. BYO food, though.

Views from the hotel are probably the best part of the hotel. The location is on the beach but have to go down the stairs which is very dark at night. Some lights would make a big difference. Bathroom is very small but manageable, had a jacuzzi tub in the main room but took an hour(not even joking) to fill enough to be able to switch on the jets. Shower is not hot at all. (Showered with only the hot water on and it was still freezing). Breakfast was included so I went but was very bad, ice cold and didn't find any milk for the coffee. Didn't go again. Pool bar was never open, thinking in December it would have been open being a busy time. Pool gym is very small and equipment is very old. The receptionist Benz was very friendly and helpful with tours. With a few renovation and better management this can be one of the best hotels.

Most was quite pleasant. Had a pool room which was awesome. Location can be a small hassle to walk down a few "flights" of steps to the beach, but on a quieter end of the beach which is nice. Most of the service was decent, until the day before checkout when I asked about a taxi for the next morning. I was told there would be no problem, though it was 5 am , so I asked her again and she said no problem. The next morning, problem. "It's too early and the driver we have is already booked" is what I was told. I was left to solve my own problem, thankfully I had seen you can use "Grab" in Thailand which I immediately downloaded and it actually saved money.

+Great value for the price. +Stunning views from the rooms. Exceptional sunset views from the roof. +100-200 steps to the beach. +The beach is one of the best in Phuket. Several food places in the vicinity. -Breakfast is ok but the breakfast room has no view and it is kind of depressing. -Bathroom is quite small and dark.
