Located not too far from Patong Beach, this hidden gem of Phuket was one of the most defining experiences of my stay here. The restaurant has beautiful huts alongside the beach with a spectacular view of the ocean and a welcoming staff. Dinner at this spot during sunset would be an excellent way to conclude your day. This is also a family-friendly establishment. The menu has a wide range of seafood to choose from. I ordered: fried rice with prawns, steamed rice, thom kha soup, green curry with chicken, steam crab in lemon sauce, sea-bass fish fried with garlic, and an ice-lemon soda. Not a single item on this order tasted bad! They have a wide variety of unique, refreshing, and non-alcoholic drinks to choose from. The breath-taking view from your hut makes for an awesome opportunity to create memories and take photos with your loved ones. Overall this was an excellent conclusion to my stay in Phuket. As someone who’s very particular with how food is prepared, this establishment exceeded above and beyond my expectations! If you’re having trouble deciding what to choose from the menu, ask for Mr. Idris. He speaks good english and knows each dish thoroughly. 5/5 stars.

Edit* Some of the food was good, most was very bland and had no flavor or seasoning. Service was flat out terrible and super unorganized. I have been in Thailand for 5 months and the amount of disrespect here was terrible. We had a table for 5 and one of us was vegetarian. Her food did not come after an two hours. We asked multiple times and still never came so we asked for the bill. We received the bill with about 5 items that did not arrive. We explained the frustration and the owner did not seem to care about leaving one of her customers starving after over 2 hours of waiting. Biggest waste of time I understand if you are busy but we ordered another dish and it came before the vegetarian dish. This is unacceptable for a restaurant. To leave a customer starving like that after Eid. If you are busy do not take all customers if you cannot feed everyone. After all did not offer any discount and made to charge on top for water. This place has potential but they need to do things in a proper order.

Coconut chicken and rice with a coconut smoothie and a pristine view of the bay. The food was delicious fast and hot. The staff was very fast and helpful we had drinks very quickly. We really enjoyed the little boots that were huts.

The food tastes too good at an affordable price compared to the Patong area. Served quality food; Sa- bah grilled was awesome. The restaurant is beside the beach; I enjoyed the sea view with quality food. Compared to the main Patong Beach side restaurants, this restaurant is priced at half.

Best Grilled Beef ever. All of the food is Super delicious and its Halal. Nice environment, eating while looking at the beach/ocean view really best place for Healing. If i ever to visit Phuket again, i surely will stop by at Kalim Ray Restaurant.

First of all, the location is amazing with great views. We visited in late afternoon for an early dinner and sat inside what can best be described as an open hut. The price was reasonable given the location and views and the amount of food we ordered. Service was very good, polite and attentive throughout. We ordered some crab fried rice, a spicy crab salad, some grilled squid, a Thai omelette, and a fried fish with garlic. We also had a pineapple and a coconut shake. The drinks were very good. Better than most in that they had a true fruit taste and were not too sweet (unlike many that you get on the streets). The fried rice (Khao Pad Bu) was good, in that it was not heavy and was tasty without being too oily. The crab salad was ok...fresh crab but of the smaller blue swimmer variety and therefore quite hard to get substantial chunks out of, and finicky to eat. Salad was very spicy. On the higher end of Thai levels of spicyness. Overall, not bad, but I've had better where the star of the dish is the sweetness and freshness of the crab. Squid was good, but we ordered too much of it. One between 2 adults is probably enough if you are having it as a side dish (like we were). The squid had a bit of smoky BBQ flavour but I felt it could have stayed on the grill a bit longer for some extra char flavour. One thing to note is that the clear tail tube of the squid had not been removed so when you ate pieces of squid, you often had to pick out the hard plastic like cartilage. The spicy (Nam Jim) Seafood sauce was an excellent accompaniment to the squid and one of the better versions of the sauce I've ever had. The Omelette (Kiaw Jiaw) was also good. A bit more oily than normal but tasty and it came in a huge serving! The highlight was definitely the Fried Fish with Garlic. This was excellent and a real standout. The fish was fresh, juicy and tender, but with a fried outer shell/skin. I would return to this restaurant just for the fish, and despite massively over-ordering too many dishes for my small family, we managed to finish the fish off. Overall the food was very good and together with the view, it made for a great night....except for...the many flies and sand midges (sand flies that bite). They kept flying around the food requiring a constant waving of hands and arms to keep them clear, and the sand midges would occasionally bite us. We found the food and view very enjoyable but the experience was very much detracted by the bugs. Still, we don't regret going as we had a good experience overall, the type that will be remembered long after the sand fly bites disappear!

Excellent food and well priced and the views are amazing at sunset. A bit further out from Patong centre but worth the trip. Alcohol isn't served here, but that's OK as the food makes up for it. We'll worth the venture out.

Best muslim e-san food in Kalim the best time to visit is during sunset between 17:30-18:15 “ Golden time “ I will definitely comeback to this place

I really enjoyed the food and ambience. Visited here in Nov 23. We found this place randomly while driving by Kalim Beach. They have little bamboo huts on a mini cliff by the beach. Sunsets are amazing with some local food. If your spicy food tolerance is not great, stay away from red curry dishes. (Picture attached below: Red curry chicken) Otherwise loved everything else.

Amazing sea food! We had deep fried sea bass(highly recommended) with garlic, grilled crab, grilled squid, and fried rice with mixed sea food. All very delicious. Authentic Thai food served by very friendly people in a beautiful outdoor setting right by the beach.

Just went today. This is a halal restaurant. If you want to taste authentic Thai food, this is DEFINITELY NOT the place you should go. Food is not up to the THAI food standard at all. Go elsewhere, avoid at all cost.

slightly slow service, nobody informed 1 dish was not available after ordering. tasty tumeric chicken but photo not taken, because waited quite a bit and it was tasty so it was gone first. the view makes up for everything thou. went down to the beach for beautiful pictures afterwards.

This place is amazing. The smell of the outside grill drew us to the door so we gave it a try. My word, the food is amazing, the views are lovely and the staff are so friendly. Oh and it’s very reasonably priced. Don’t hesitate to go there.
