😠 Absolutely joke. Want to give negative star only if I can and I almost alway only give only good review. We trying to get the ATK COVID test for going to bangkok. I called them at 9:30 to ask if you have this service available. They told me that they only accepted 15 people per day, do not accept... People often mention hospital, doctor, staff, hours, Hospital, Thai, asked, service, wait, nurse,

Absolutely joke. Want to give negative star only if I can and I almost alway only give only good review. We trying to get the ATK COVID test for going to bangkok. I called them at 9:30 to ask if you have this service available. They told me that they only accepted 15 people per day, do not accept appointments and will only do the test until 11 am. We arrive at 9:45. I told the blood pressure test and measure my weight. They then notify me that they won’t start the test until 10:30. So 1.5 hours wait outside in the heat. No shop to sell water. No vending machine. Be prepared and bring your own water. And at 11:05 we decided to ask them what going on. They said that the doctor will need to take care of all the walk-in patients first before start doing ATK. Why would you need doctor to do the ATK anyway? Anywhere else in the world nurse can do the ATK. After the test you have to come back at 1 pm to collect the result. I wonder if they know how to use email or Text. What a typical Thai government hospital. If you have money just go for the private one unless you want to waste the whole day. The toilet here is old fashion. No toilet seat and no toilet paper

Super clean, the staff are very kind and very efficient. Everything is clearly labelled in Thai and English, often also in Chinese and Russian. I find the prices really cheap. If you don't have an appointment, you get a number on your form when you take your vitals (automatic blood pressure/ heart rate/etc test machine) and register. The nurses will call you by number and name. They will make sure to call in a way you understand if you aren't Thai, so don't worry about language barriers. The doctors and nurses speak perfectly understandable English. The doctor even filled out my care recommendation in English. In the winter, a kind man from Switzerland is at the information desk to help you find your way around. Do note that the nurses have a lunch break ending at about 13:00, with the doctors' break ending at about 13:30, so for non- emergency cases I recommend you come in the morning. There is a very cute garden smoking area with some animals and a stone table with a chess board on it. If you stand facing the blue atm (pictured) and look to the right you'll see it just next to the ramp. I hope I don't get injured again (I walked into a low concrete structure lol), but if I do I'll feel safe and happy coming here! Lastly, please consider putting whatever you can in the donation boxes in the two large halls on either side of the hospital this is a state hospital with not much funding and they are doing an amazing job!

Horrible place I have nothing good to say about it, filthy smelly building- rude ignorant lazy Liars! They will never admit they made a mistake foreigners are always wrong in this place. Best go to a clinic or Bangkok Hospital in Phuket town I've been 3 hours waiting for an Physiotherapy appointment they made early in the morning and they keep lying to me about every single thing, insinuating that I am stupid. This goes for every single person I have unfortunately had to deal with that being roughly 12. If you have to come to this Hospital bring a translator and perhaps a big stick!

WORST EXPERIENCE, I have ever had with the hospitals in Phuket, better go to the ones in town. Went in to see a doctor for simple bronchitis cough and then directed to the registration, staff were rude. After registration was done (I have thai insurance for this place). I was directed to do vitals with the machines by myself, when I asked what to do to the information desk, the lady there did not care to even answer nor say what to do,after vital signs were taken,I was directed to the counter Nr.5 two ladies there, one of them probably head nurse/doctor (rude). I said came to see the doctor for bronchitis and they did not know what it was, only after I said i had cough, I was sent outside to wait in the heat to take vital signs by a nurse this time. The staff were all just pointing fingers with no interest of helping. Nurse who took the vitals was yelling at the other foreigner to go back and sit where he was seated.....long story short I never made it to even see the doctor after long waiting time. If you want to ruin your day come to this hospital, other than that, STAY AWAY from here.

It has good medical services, indoor pharmacy, admission. It's called Rackchiwa building or hospital.

If I could leave zero stars of this hospital I would. If you need medical help, I strongly suggest you go to a different hospital. My partner and I went to the hospital with suspected sepsis following a motorcycle accident. When we arrived he was unable to talk, or stand on his own. The hospital were extremely rude and when I tried to talk to a member of staff, he ignored me and instead watched football on his phone. I explained what happened to a different member of staff and that I thought he had sepsis. The staff told me to wait outside and that it wasn’t an emergency - baring in mind by this stage my partner was being sick in a wheelchair and unable to talk in a coherent way. My partner got worse, to the point he could no longer sit up right and had to lie down on a stretcher- no one helped, or showed the slightest bit of concern for how unwell he was, and the fact his condition was quickly deteriorating. When we got moved to a room (after a long bout of waiting, and persistent questions on my end), my partner was left for around six hours before antibiotics were administered. I had to ask for the antibiotics as they initially didn’t want to give it to him (my partners mum is a nurse, and told me this is what he needed quickly). He was extremely unwell and anytime we tried to talk to someone we were point blank ignored (to the point they would look at me, and walk past me). All of the staff spoke perfect English therefore this wasn’t a language barrier. I also had been in a motorbike accident and asked if there was a chair I could use to sit down (my leg was bandaged up and it was clear I was in a lot of pain). The staff told me no and that if I wanted to sit I should leave the hospital and find a seat elsewhere. Bearing in mind there were MULTIPLE free seats being unused . Being in this hospital was the worst experience of my life and I honestly thank god to be from the UK and have the NHS after going here. I have two nurses in my family and respect hospitals are busy places for the people who work there but the treatment we received in Patong hospital was Disgraceful.

The worst hospital you can try come here if you want to feel like you are a piece of animal not human begin. Welcoming outside with a big black dog. No any standards for health and safety, Bad smells inside the hospital. We came to emergency my wife was suffering and shaking and feeling cold almost dying. And they are asking to wait in a queue !!. The nursing staff and doctors in the emergency department are arrogant, their morals are bad, and they do not have any medical ethics. The patients waiting and the doctors are gathering and laughing and talking. In the event that you do not know anything about your illness, I advise you to resort to Google instead of calling the doctor, because when I call him more than once due to complications in the case, the last time the nurse's voice rose and she asked me to shut up. You will be asked to go by yourself to bring the glucose solution, bandages, and medical supplies used in the treatment that they will perform, and not the treatment that you will take home with you. Finally, when I left the emergency department, the patient was removed from the wheelchair and asked to stand waiting for the car because they needed to arrange the chairs. One of the worst hospitals in the world, not just in Thailand.

I went there at 3 am because my ear got completely blocked while sleeping. It was very painful. The nurse who asked for my data was really rude, really trying to make me see that I wasn’t welcome there. After 10 minutes waiting, I was informed by 2 people from the medical staff that they couldn’t accept me and that I should see a normal doctor in 2 days. Very bad service.

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOSPITAL!!!! Before I enter in hospital I had to explain " nurse" more than three times that I don't have Covid symptons as she was asking. Three hours later first triage nurse call me, explaining again that I have only fever. She send me to other counter and I was again last in line. Starting again from begining I've been sent to third counter,..... Five hours since I came to hospital and four different triage I was sent to the first one again. I freak out and went to private clinic where I was examienet and treated in half hour.

Patong Hospital is a great hospital for emergency services. The other services are good and they cater to a lot of locals and tourists. It is really surprising that, such an important hospital located in the the tourist heartland of Phuket is under funded, under staffed and under trained. Patong hospital has the ability to be a world class hospital, considering they are already treating patients from around the world.

Misdiagnosed appendicitis as muscle strain. Lucky I went to hospital in Phuket City. The staffs lack of care and incompetence could have been fatal for me. Truly useless staff, if you are unwell do not go here.

I was in and out done in hour with all the examinations, medications for a fairly severe tonsillitis I picked up along the road in Thailand. The doctor I was assigned to spoke very good English and also had very good soft skills, so there was not an issue with trust at all. The cost was technically nothing compared to the service and medication I received in return.

Useless hospital. None of the employees including doctors and nurses understand English here. The emergency is a joke here, they just let the patient lie down without attending. The admission process is dead slow. The hospital should be sued for not being able to understand English being a tourist nation

Their ambulance arrived within 5 minutes of calling, as soon as they asked right questions and agreed it was a severe allergic reaction to crab....IV adreniline was administered as we went to hospital. Very professional staff....after a few more tests, 90 minutes later ( after a precationary ECG and as I was recovering well), I was discharged ( after they called us a cab) along with some medicines and told to call their ambulance immediately if symptoms returned. Excellent service and the ambulance plus 90 minutes ED treatment was THB 2,960. What a bargain for the great service..highly recommend

All of the 1 star reviews for this place are absolutely correct - it is the worst medical facility I have ever set foot in. The nurses are extremely rude!! My friend needed stitches and when I asked what they were going to do for her, they would not answer and then refused to treat her. They covered up all of the medical equipment and threw a cloth over her wounds. They then kicked me out of the room. When the receipt was printed, most of the words were in Thai which is not helpful for our insurance. In the end a doctor had to hand write on the receipt to tell us what each item was for. No concern for health and safety or cleanliness. My friend felt very on edge and scared and they made her feel very uncomfortable at a time when they could have just been friendly to calm her down. I would give this place 0 stars if I could.

The most Terrible hospital ever you can see in your life. Go to clinic around the city. Little more expensive, but you can recover very faster. You have to be so patient in the line to visit the general doctor. Around two hours. They are not care how much you are sick. Thailand’s medicine has low doz of meds inside, thats why it won’t work on your body.

My friend did not feel well, i brought him there, after 3 hours of waiting they measured temp.38,2 c. They asked 5 times if sore throat, diharea... We said no and they asked again and again, they sent us to covid, even if our test was covid neg. already. Walked from nurse to nurse, in the end we left and went to private clinic. Awful place. I am a nurse in public hospital, but that was just not accettable. I worked in Zambia, was not as bad as here in Patong hospital. Choose private clinic.

Pathetic hospital. On vacation my son had viral. Vomit and Motions were not stopping. I took him to emergency. I was directed here and there and asked to get a token. I was sitting as next was my number till 1 hour que not moving upon inquiry i was informed doctor will be available after break of 2 hours. Instead they ask me to go to private clinic and give a card of some commercial doctor. We left to Bangkok Hospital. Reviews here are true about hospital

I'm here on holiday from NZ and I was so impressed! Being so far from home and getting injured is not fun. The staff were all so willing to help and made me feel so comfortable. Also, SO FAST! I cannot say the same for my home country where wait times are outrageous. It's people like those healthcare workers that restore my faith in humanity.

Had tonsilitis. Doctors didn't do any test apart from covid swab test. Prescribed antibiotics on 5th day of illness, when I could barely talk from throat pain. After each series of antibiotics tonsilitis kept on comming back, and doctors kept on giving more stronger antibiotics for a month. After I relocated to Bangkok new hospital did comprehensive tests, found that medicine prescribed in Patong hospital was ineffective against this kind of infection, and that I now have serious complications. 0/5, would not recommend Although you would die pretty cheaply here

Horrible - go to another hospital. Reception staff incredibly rude, unfriendly and don’t care. Waited over 1 hour with no assistance and only told “Doctor is coming”. How can a hospital not have a doctor available?! It’s not busy there’s just no doctor…

The doctors were very competent, professional, and helpful. The staff at the wound care clinic were kind and did a great job. The support staff was also excellent. Overall, I was relieved to find such quality care available even though I cannot speak Thai language.

The most unorganized hospital ever stepped foot in. I was sent to 4 different places and no one knows exactly what to do. The person that end up checking me in was pretty much incompetent. Let's just say the doctors were not too pleased with (his/her?) performance with registering me in.

Administrative and desk staff are incredibly rude and sarcastic, more interested in their phones than speaking kindly or patiently. Combined with the usual 100 steps to get anything done (talk to till A who says go speak to the women on their mobiles at the front, who then give you a generic ticket to take to till A who prints out a receipt for you to take back to the women on their mobiles) makes for a shabby initial experience. Doctors and technicians once you’re checked in are great, efficient and kind. I’m saying this as a Thai person too, so it may be best for expats to go elsewhere if they can as I’ve heard worse experiences for foreigners.

All of these bad reviews must just be from impatient, entitled people. Seriously. Or maybe I’m just used to the way hospitals work back in the states. Got tangled up with another guy on a motorbike about a week before my visit to Patong Hospital. Decided to go just on the side of caution as my foot was looking pretty gnarly and I wanted to rule out a break / infection. Saw a doctor within an hour of showing up. And yes, the place was PLENTY busy. X-rayed my foot AND my chest (to rule out broken ribs). Re-dressed all of my wounds. Got me a handful of Rx’s (muscle relaxers / painkillers / antibiotics). Entire bill? What equated to exactly a hundred bucks US. Is the place a little old? Yes. But the staff were all very helpful and pleasant. They’re efficient and I just don’t understand all of these one star reviews!

Referred by a clinic to this Patong Hospital for my red eye. Neat and tidy building and clinic areas. Very efficient registration(show passport for tourist), screening and consultation process. Nurses and the doctor spoke good English and the examination was professional, thorough and good advice was given. The whole process, including payment and prescription dispensary took about 1hr 45 min. Very satisfied with the service, fee was only 800 Baht, medicine included.

Just went there as I had an emergency with my skin allergy. The check in process was a bit difficult to follow but it's my own bad as I don't speak Thai. The staff were nice enough to tell me where to wait. it took two hours, the doctor had a really nice disposition and they prescribed medicines. The price was more than fair at 280 TBH inclusive of doctor fees and meds.

  • 5/5 Steven B. 2 years ago on Google
The dermatologist here is particularly good - she resolved my problem quickly and effectively, and at a very fair price. I was in and out in under an hour without even having made an appointment first. Have been to Patong Hospital several times, and have been pleased with the service each time.

Fish brain monkeys do not go to this hospital if you’re white you won’t get attended for hours they’ll just keep putting Thai people in front of you

  • 1/5 Alexis 6 months ago on Google
Told me to wait for a doctor that never came. No ticketing system, no indication in english. Not welcoming to foreigners. Not even accepting insurance and asking you to pay regardless. Joke place you'd be better off stitching your wounds yourselves

  • 1/5 M H. 1 year ago on Google
Went to this hospital at 7.30 am I had still not seen a Doctor by 1 pm (Lunch Time). On further enquiry I discovered that I was put at the back of the queue because I am white and not a Thai.So I would have had to wait through lunch time, and maybe see a doctor late in the afternoon. So I cancelled the apointment and left. I see this as racism, because I was discriminated against because I am white and not Thai.

Good hospital, the only problem i had is that when get a number at reception is not clear what to do next. This number is not displayed anywhere so you just have to wait with no idea how long it can take. One time is was 10 min, another time 2 hours.

  • 1/5 Erik H. 2 years ago on Google
Cheap hospital, but no aircondition, no fans and no english. An easy process takes about 3-4 hours, and because it has 6-7 registration-processes and nobody speaks English you will find yourself walking around like a headless chocken. Its not worth it! Pay more and go to phuket Bangkok Hospital og Sirioj Bangkok Hospital. The process takes 20 minutes but costs about 3 times more.
