Excellent hosts, wonderful breakfasts, rooms are large with private bathroom, provide mosquito nets over beds, ceiling fans, working desks, quiet off-road location from traffic. Very fast wifi if there are no thunderstorms during which routers are turned off. Hot water good for showers. Plenty of trees, birds, natural environment surrounding this place, some stairs to climb.

Very friendly and helpful owner who welcomed us with tea and cookies. Spotlessly clean and convenient rooms (unfortunately no A/C but that's not essential as the temperature in Kandy is moderate during night time). The homestay is located on a hill, approximately 2km from the city center. It's possible to go there by foot but expect a 20-25 minutes walk from the main bus station. Overall, we were happy with this reasonably priced accommodation but two things could be improved: first, breakfast was quite basic and Western style. We would have preferred to choose between a Western and an authentic Sri Lankan breakfast. Second, double glass windows might be an option (ok, that's quite picky) because the place is located directly next to a school and teachers obviously use loudspeakers to instruct their students. At 7am, this was quite annoying and made it impossible to rest a little longer.

Best homestay in Kandy as you are made to feel so welcome by Nayana and Menaka. Nayana's knowledge of Kandy and all of Sri Lanka is brilliant and Menaka's cooking is fantastic and she is always willing to tell you how to cook these delicacies. Lovely accomodation only a short walk into the centre of Kandy

Exceptionally Clean It Sparkles! A favorite. I stayed here several times. The rooms are huge and spotless. The breakfast is great, good value, and you can customize and add to it.

Quiet, clean place a 10 minute walk from the lake. If you can, go for the bigger rooms next to the dining area. The amazing host (with great English) gave us probably the most useful advice on what is worth seeing in Sri Lanka.

A very good home stay in Kandy. Friendly host. Tidy room. If you follow this map to come to this place, go slightly forward and you will see a short down slope road, which is the place for 116/4 (not 116)

Great cosy place to stay when visiting Kandy. Close to Sacred Tooth Relic Temple and other important tourist destinations. Hosts are very friendly, food is excellent and all ameneties available for guests. Highly recommended!

Very sweet family running this place. Room was cozy and brekkie was very tasty as well as loose leaf black tea. Area is perfect being a bit away from all the tuk-tuks and crowd yet literally 5mins to the city center.

I had such a good time staying here, nayanananda and her family were here extremely accommodating and very easy to get on with and were able to help me with any query I had about Kandy. The room and shared kitchen/ dining space which is available just for guests was very comfortable and was the perfect place for me to stay while I sorted out my Indian visa. The breakfast provided was different each morning and very tasty! I highly recommend you stay here if you’re looking for a homestay in Kandy.

I was amazed at the level of standards maintained, spotlessly clean and neat , with a very simple layout so it's adoptable for any level of stay, had the pleasure of chatting with the husband and wife and daughter combo who's managing the home stay who was very warm and helpful, you can always feel the genuineness of them , I wish I had planned a couple of das more at the lady Gordon's home stay, lovely experience all around ❤️👌
