I had a worst experience there. I already reserved place by making an advance. When I went there, first of all it’s on hill top, last house on the hill. No proper parking facilities. They put big stones in-front of the gate, once you get in it will be difficult to reverse and get the car out. No one was there to guide me. Somehow I parked and climbed to the place, there were no one and two dogs were kept on barking. The owner didn’t bother call me and asking wether I will be coming or not, since I booked it before hand. It was a horrible experience there. I don’t recommend this place at all. Specially in a Rainy day it’s a big NO

I booked this place for work related stay without knowing what to expect. But I instantly fell in love with it. Its a really nice cosy location with a 20 minute walk from the kandy main bus station and the temple of the tooth- dalada maligawa just close to trinity college back yard. The host is a very friendly kind gentleman. Rs 4000 for a night. Towels and soap provided. Fridge, kitchen and a living room and a roof top is also accessible . Definitely staying again. PS there are two very sweet black doggies who are always trotting around. They bark sometimes but they are very innocent and harmless. Very cute.

Great place to stay while being in Kandy. Hosts are really nice, place is quiet, from balcony there is a beautiful view. My room was spacious, bathroom was in a good condition. Tuk-tuk to city centre cost 200-350 lak, but walk takes like 15-20 min which is great.

Comfy rooms, rooftop terrace with amazing views, perfect for yoga / meditation. Located in a quiet residential area. But most important: owners are the sweetest, kind, helpful… we felt like at home, we felt like family. If you are looking for a place away from the noisy city centre and you want to be hosted by lovely people, this is your place. Thank you for having us! We hope to be back sometime in the future! Very welcoming couple owning Villa Serene. Such kind people, good conversation, good tips and delicious food. Quality vs price is great! We were the only visitors during our stay so we had the common area for ourselves, reading on the couch in the living room in the evening, yoga on the rooftop in the morning. So quiet and rejuvenating. Extra points for the amazing view over the valley!! Advice #1: wake up early to see the misty mountains uncovering by sunlight! Advice #2: Google maps do not give you the exact address to the hotel, better to call them and let your tuktuk driver chat with them to get to the right place.

All good! Maintenance, service and location is just wow! A peaceful and very calm place! Owners are very kind and friendly. One of the most favorite hotels ! Very good for couples and friends, also for families. Most of the facilities are out there. Specially their homemade food was soooo tasty👍
