When I was a kid, I always wanted to stay at Hotel Zed because of all of the funky and fun colours. Years and years later, I finally got to stay here and it did not disappoint! The room was extremely clean (which means a lot coming from a germaphobe like myself), and the lobby and room had such a clean and fresh smell to them which was very pleasant. The little extra touches in the room were the cutest. The activity game, the adorable stickers, the comic books, etc. It truly elevated the experience. Oh, and the bed was extremely comfortable! Eli, the front desk agent who was working when I arrived, made me feel so welcome when I checked in. I felt very taken care of and at home here due to their friendliness and enthusiasm. As a young woman who stayed here alone, it was wonderful to have someone at the front desk who I knew I could reply on. It made me feel much safer. Eli is such an awesome person! Because of the cleanliness of the room and thanks to Eli being super hospitable, I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Definitely my new go to place when I come to Kelowna! Thanks Hotel Zed!! :)

This place was fantastic! The front desk people are so kind and everything about this hotel is totally my style, they are definitely living up to their slogan “rebels against the ordinary” we had a great girls weekend here, did the roller skate rental, (wouldn’t recommend skating through the park as the terrain is quite rough) but loved sidewalk skating! Will definitely be coming back here in the future for more girls weekends!

Stayed here with a large group for a bachelor party, great price compared to other options in the area. Amazing location, staff was super friendly and accommodating. Love the ping pong room, rooftop patio, and pool/hot tub. Definitely would stay here again and recommend to anyone looking for a fun place to stay in downtown Kelowna!

The staff here are amazing... They all deserve a raise and a generous tip! The rooms were super clean and well maintained. It’s definitely a party vibe (you might need the ear plugs provided) but it always felt safe and friendly/positive. Great pool/hot tub and rooftop deck. Incredible location and pricing comparatively. And again—amazing staff. 10/10 would recommend for a fun weekend away.

Very cool retro hotel/motel in just about the best downtown location possible. Room was small. clean, comfortable, with very helpful staff. A bit of noise from the surrounding area, but that is to be expected

Fantastic dog-friendly hotel in a great location. The amenities like the ping pong room and rentable bikes/skateboards/roller blades are really nice. There is a fair amount of late night foot traffic outside on the weekends so if you're a light sleeper you might need the provided ear plugs, but it's worth it for being right downtown and by the lake!

Loved this hotel! The hotel is all retro themed with very cool furniture and decor. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. Absolutely loved that you can borrow roller skates or bikes and helmets. Pool was awesome and so was the location. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Even our dog was allowed to stay here. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The location is amazing, an easy walk to the beach. This hotel has a very nostalgic/retro vibe to it which I loved like having old-fashioned rotary phones in the rooms and a typewriter in the lobby. Staff were friendly and always provided us with anything we requested. Honestly, to rate a hotel five-stars I ask myself, did I make great memories here? Would I come back here? And the answer is a resoundingyes. Our vacation was great and this hotel was a gem.

What a gem! Everything you need so close by! All the staff are lovely! The rooftop patio is a great way to spend your evening, especially with the BBQ they have up there! Rooms are clean and a good size (except the bathroom was a bit small...) but no real complaints here! This place is probably the best place to stay close to all the action!

Stayed for 2 nights and loved this place. The staff are amazing. The little hidden surprises and details throughout the place are great. The Ping-pong room with a working 45ŕpm jukebox is a little treat and if there's any problems or questions... the employees (rebels) are just ridiculouslyhelpful!!! Would stay again. (And again and again) Btw: Location, location, location is also A++ 👍

Awesome hotel near the downtown core. Styling is great, amenities such as pool, outdoor seating, smoking patio, bike rental and more that I'm forgetting. Great bed and pillows.

Stayed for 3 nights. Great location. Rooms are small but big enough for my partner and I. The only thing I found odd is they never came to clean the room even after I asked. We ended up with a pile of dirty towel and a full garbage bin. Overall it was ok but definitely overpriced.

This place was SOOOO much fun! Perfect mix of reto and new age touch. Every staff member we had interaction with was extremely friendly and willing to answer any questions! 🥰 The free parking is more so made for cars and maybe a van, but there was free parking that accommodated our truck. The location is perfect! There are so many stores, food locations, with art and culture within a couple of minutes walk. You can also go to a park , water and the marina ( docks and yacht club) . 100% worth the cost of the room! Will be returning for our next getaway or even with our kids, lots of things for them to do too(pool seasonal).

Super funky motel with retro vibes! Rooms are pretty decent sized, very clean and comfortable! Staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. Perfect location downtown by the water! We have stayed there twice and would definitely come back!

Older motel brought up to date with a modern (funky retro) refresh. Location is second to none. Across the street from City Park and Beach. Short walk to the downtown restaurants and bars. Hotel is clean and has a fun, funky vibe. Great rooftop patio to enjoy views of the city and Lake. Reasonable rates even at the peak of summer season. Will definitely stay again.

Fantastic spot with excellent retro vibes! Room, linen and appliances were very clean and well stocked. We booked the suite with kitchenette and this came well stocked with basics for family stay. Captivating decor, excellent location within walking distance to restaurants, marina and attractions! They have sauna, hot tub and a separate area to chill with games and ping pong table!! Highly recommend this spot for travel with family!

It's hard to find a great place to stay when traveling with pets but Hotel Zed blew us away with their hospitality! They helped us find a dog friendly beach within walking distance and pet friendly patios. The rooms were beautiful, comfortable and had everything we needed. I'm looking forward to coming back!

Such a unique place! They have thought of all the extras you would need while away from home. Super clean! The comic book, yo-yo and stickers were awesome for the kids. Will definitely be back when we are in the area.

Location is key at this place. The funky ambience makes this hotel fun and unique. Great stuff is all day coffee, friendly staff and free bike usage. However, hotel rooms themselves are tired, even if the decor is made to look art deco. The walls are paper thin, something they clearly know as they provide ear plugs. If you're a light sleeper, stay away. Second time I stay at this location. Usually limit my stay to 1-2 nights max cause price/value is not quite there for me when it comes to the comfort of the room. But if you really don't care about that, then this is a great location due to its location.

Loved my stay at Hotel Zed. Aesthetically and The service was fantastic! Loved everything about my time there. Such a cute theme, and all the amenities are fitting as well! Great little Gem in Kelowna! Would love to visit Tofino and Victoria's locations as well!

Great little place right by the lake. Fun and funky atmosphere. It's clean and the beds are pretty comfy. Also dog friendly!! The walls and such are a little thin so the people above us sound like a pack of elephants but that is my only criticism. I would totally stat here again.

We stayed the weekend at Hotel Zed. Great staff, ideal location. Absolutely no complaints. Free bike usage, and access to waterfront trail system. If I had to state one criticism - rooms were a bit small. No issues for us, but some people might find it tight.

Such a cool hotel! In a great location, price was great, the rooms are so funky and fun. The fixtures are a little old but that's alright, didn't bother us. Staff were super chill as well. We will definitely be back!

This would be a favorite in any location, but the fact that you walk out your door into the AMAZING beach park makes it absolutely perfect. Super fun, stylish rooms that are also fresh, crisp, clean and comfortable. Very engaged, friendly staff who are also focused on getting everything just right. And lots of happy guests smiling and chatting because they've arrived to discover their lodging is just awesome. We did a quick google search to find a nice place for dinner and were overwhelmed at the number of terrific choices within a 10 minute walk. Took a very nice walk circuiting the park and had a delicious meal at Gather. Just a perfect evening.

Super funky hotel - you can guess what you're getting into from the street, and the rooms do not disappoint. Love the little touches, like the complimentary yo yo, comic book and roller skate stickers. The decor is very Austen Powers, complete with rotary phone (and instructions for younger guests). The available roller skates, tandem bike and ping pong table are nice touches. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and the pillows seemed like-new. No in-room coffee, but the lobby coffee machine is available 24/7. Make no mistake - this is not the Ritz, Four Seasons, or even Holiday Inn, but it's a trip in and of itself! Any time I need a hotel in Kelowna (or Tofino or Victoria), I'll check in with Zed first!

Cooler than cool. Lobby definitely had the Wow factor. Close to everything. Groovy colours. Free DC comic and coffee. Tried out the roller skates and it brought back old Rollerland memories. What an awesome experience!

Very cool place, had security patrolling constantly and lots of cool decks with views and even a smoking deck. Cool amenities - no laundry or anything but free coffee and hot/ cold water in the lobby that tasted very good. Very short walk to all the main happening streets and huge cool park + the river. Would recommend- however our room on the lowest level would make dripping sounds whenever anyone above us (2 floors were above us) would use the sink, shower, or toilets… which slightly concerned us and was almost constant. Also the AC was extremely loud and scary to a degree (caught us off guard several times) as well as our room having multiple and persistent/ consistent mini flies even if we had killed them they would keep showing up. Little mini fridge in the unit, cozy bed and big tv. We got a single king room.

This is a very cool unique hotel with a very retro vibe. Fun things in the rooms, nice outdoor pool and hot tub, three outdoor second floor decks one of which that is smoking 2 that overlook a very nice park. Location is close to a mission so a fair amount of homeless people but 24 hour security makes it feel safe

Groovy place, very colorful. One side kind of skid row (but not bad), others side beautiful park across rd, close to lake

I could not be more positive! everything was in walking distance, the staff were great, and there was a rooftop deck, a ping pong lounge, and TV with Nintendo and Wii with Mario kart 8. there was a mini disco room too! they even did an Easter egg hunt for us. they had free coffee in the lobby, and had a list of things to do if you were bored called The "Bored" Game. they also had rotary phones. simple and fun to use. all in all, it's a beautiful place, with kind staff and awesome things to do. I totally recommend staying here.

What a beautiful little gem in Kelowna! Bright & clean! You know those crisp white sheets that we all love? They have them here! Lovely staff. Excellent prices. You will love it too!

Very cool place with a really fun retro vibe (including rotary phones in the room)! They also have some unique amenities such as their disco/karaoke room as well as bike, skateboard, longboard and roller skate supply available for guests to use for no extra charge. Room was clean and well kept and the location is pristine.
