Not a pleasant experience. 1. December is not the right season. March I'm told is better for animal sighting. We only spotted a heard of deer and nothing else. 2. There is an early morning 6 am batch and evening batch. Morning one apparently has better chance of sightings. So brave yourself for the early morning freezing cold. 3. These guys say no reservation, first come first serve. So we reached early by 6am and were the second to come in. But to our surprise, the people who came later at around 6:30 were given preference because they had apparently "called" the previous day!?! 4. There is a water safari that happens at the same time as the Jeep Safari!! So you need to stay two days to experience both!! That's not good. 5. Overall, for the effort and the result of watching noting in the 2 hour ride inside the jungle, i don't think this is worth it.

570 square kilometres of pristine forest, home to tigers, leopards, gaur, sambhar, deer, elephants, hornbill and many many more.! The lush vegetation and variety of flora and fauna is simply amazing.

Went for the safari on 15th Dec & fortunate to be part of 3 hours journey in the forest with the expert forest staff, we could spot bisons, spotted deers, wild boar, elephants and lot of flora and fauna along with rare sighting of elephant breaking bamboo for its food. Very well managed safari from the forest department at affordable pricing of 600 inr per head. Every one should experience it atleast once in their lifetime.

Peaceful experience where u feel nature is close to you. Food and service were good too. The calmness is what you need to relax and rejuvenate. The only sound is of the nature. The birds, the water, rustling of leaves as if the nature is having a conversation with you. All in all a good stay.

The Safari ride costs ₹600 per head and you will be going for 8-9KM ride 2 way by a jeep.. Overall you will get to see Few Birds, Sporty Dear, Samba Dear, Wild Dogs, Elephants and if you are much lucky you might see Leopard and Tiger as well. Go with Binocular and a Good Camera for Capturing there availability.. Only 2 rides per day ... 1 in the early morning at 6AM and one in the post noon at 3PM... Stay there 30 mins early to collect the tickets and start your journey at the first so that you can see more animals..

The place is really filled with trees and forest. You can book a safari ride from the forest department which is just on the mail road. They arrange 2 trips in to the jungle. 1 in the morning from 6:30 to 8:30 and then 3:30pm to 6:30 Pm. We didn’t get to see any tigers , but there were a lot of deer’s and elephants. There is a guest house in the Center of the jungle which is really awesome. The guide was really cooperative and tried to show us most of the anomals.

Have a good time at sanctuary and boat ride at Bhadra dam reservoir, very poor management by govt in wildlife sanctuary , only 2 jeeps, 2 boats , 1 bus given, people jump in with influence, public fight in the que. Govt need to allot more vehicles, arrange booking thru website to the sanctuary and give more powers to the concern DRFO to improve, the Jungle lodge nearby in the Bhadra dam Boat house, 🏠 have very good facilities and delivering well to public at a higher cost

Visited Hebbe Waterfalls in Bhadra Wildlife area. Own Vehicles are not allowed to this area. They will provide Vehicles which will Cost 400/- Per Person to take to the Waterfalls. We have to walk around 1KM then to reach Waterfall. When it comes to Waterfalls , it was amazing experience I have ever had. We almost Close to the falls and it was really amazing. Most of the walking area is too slippery. I recommend old age people be better avoid visiting this place. And beware of leaches in this area.

They give only two rides a day, one early morning at 6 or 6:30 and next at 3:30pm.in the afternoon. We went in the afternoon. They take you through the jungle in a mini bus, it's an hour and a half ride. I suggest going in rainy season maybe because the forest was very dry in February🤷🏻‍♀️🤔We saw about 6-7 types of animals although I heard there are about 20-30 variety of animals in the jungle. I was really hoping to catch sight of a tiger but unfortunately we didn't😔 What I love about santuries is that the animals are free, not caged. They're in their habitat and we get a ride through jungle and be able to see them without harming them😊

The place is just Awesome place, it's a reserve forest, this forest is not maintained by human effort. It's nature maintained. No fallen trees are taken out from this reserve forest. This reserve forest has huge number of Elephants and Tigers Best time for safari is 4.30pm and 5.30pm batch. By luck only you will get to see elephant, tiger, black leopard.😉😉⭐💯💯💯 You can spend beautiful time with your family in forest.🤘☺️ Awesome ambiance, must visit with family on weekdays.🤘👍🤞👌

It costs 600/- per person and lasts for 2 hours. If you are lucky, you will get to see tigers and leopards. Otherwise, deer, peacocks, and wild dogs are easily spotted. The first trip starts at 6:30 in the morning, but make sure you arrive at least an hour before to secure your tickets as it gets very crowded during weekends. Prefer Jipsy over the mini bus. If you sit inside mini bus they will take you only on the straight roads, Jipsy is where you get the real thrill and it takes you near the backwaters as well

No tigers were seen..... waste of time and money...all that we saw was peacocks and elephants. Not even a single snake or monkey in such a vast land....The forest seemed like it was man-made.Not even worth a single star. They are just looting money in the name of wildlife. Really regret visiting the place. If you are looking for a place to enjoy the nature or have fun with friends or family, I definitely wouldn't suggest visiting this place. Empty lands with butterflies and absolutely nothing else

The lake has its own serene beauty, it is calm and clean. However, people polluted the road beside the lake with plastic bottles, although proper litterbin is there. Shame on us ! Coming to the maintenance, The lake is clean and I have observed some buildings being done at the entrance, hopefully to make the place more attractive for tourists. Overall, the beauty is great. The best time to visit is in the morning (around 9:00AM)

I had an amazing experience at Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary near Lakkavalli, just 32 km from Shimoga town. Despite the counter being closed during our 4 pm visit, we managed to arrange a Jeep safari through a known contact. The sanctuary offers two safari batches from 6 am to 8 am and 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm. I highly recommend the evening safari for better wildlife sightings. We encountered a variety of animals including elephants, sambar deer, various types of deer, mongoose, foxes, bears (karadi), squirrels, peacocks, bison, jungle cocks, hens, owls, and jungle pigs. Although we missed seeing tigers and leopards, the sanctuary's natural beauty made up for it. The Jeep safari was particularly enjoyable compared to the bus safari. The safari cost ₹600 per person, and next time, I plan to stay at The River Tern Lodge - Junglelodges, which offers accommodation, meals, and safari rides for ₹8,000 per person. Overall, Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary is a must-visit destination for wildlife enthusiasts.

Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary is a must-visit for any nature lover. It is located in the Chikkamagaluru district of Karnataka, and is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including tigers, elephants, leopards, and deer. The sanctuary is also home to a number of beautiful waterfalls, rivers, and lakes. I visited Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary in the month of June, and it was a truly unforgettable experience. We went on a jeep safari, and were lucky enough to see a number of animals, including elephants, deer, and wild boars. We also saw a number of beautiful birds, including peacocks and hornbills. The scenery in Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary is absolutely stunning. The mountains are covered in lush green forests, and the rivers and lakes are crystal clear. We spent the day hiking, swimming, and exploring the forest, and we had a wonderful time. If you are looking for a truly unique and unforgettable experience, I highly recommend visiting Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary. It is a truly magical place. Here are some additional things to note about Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary: - The best time to visit is during the summer months (June-September), when the weather is dry and sunny. - The sanctuary is open from 6am to 6pm. - The entrance fee is Rs. 50 for adults and Rs. 25 for children. - There are a number of accommodation options available near the sanctuary, including lodges, resorts, and campsites. - There are a number of activities available at the sanctuary, including jeep safaris, hiking, birdwatching, and fishing. I hope this helps!

A beautiful lake. We had cake cutting to celebrate a birthday. We walked leisurely across n dipped our feet in water. We danced a little to create a reel. We had fresh n tasty sugarcane juice. Fun-filled hour we spent there. We were 11 of us.

Overall okayish experience. Didn't get to see tiger though.. 😏 so kind of disappointed..but rangers and local guide are good in behavior and respond to our questions. Though the time we went in safari was not ideal for seeing tigers, but still experience was good. Best is use one of the guides to see the place at night.. pay extra money - it's worth it. 😉

A wildlife reserve known for its tiger population . On our morning jeep drive, we did not see any tigers , but only some fresh pug marks in the mud . The forest was lush and beautiful . The drive takes a break at an old colonial bungalow in the middle of the forest , which was used by British officials once, and now by staff of the forest department . During the drive , the forest guard got a wireless message about a tiger being sighted . The jeep drove to that place , but we could not spot the tiger . The reason may be the loud rattling noise the old jeep made , scaring away animals . The forest department can use less noisy electric vehicles for better experience.

Loved the Safari through the forest, good thing is they dont have too many jeeps so it doesn't crowd the forest with vehicles. The Safari twice during the day, morning 6 am and afternoon 3pm. But on busy days they open the gates early. If you don't get jeep safari there is an option for boat safari too with same charges. Per person charge is 600 and for camera it is extra 600.
