Cruising down the beautiful Inner Passage to our last stop in Alaska was this beautiful city of Ketchikan. Boy, do they get water soaked, their average annual rainfall is 12 & 1/2 Feet, pretty amazing and yes it rained while we were there. Lots of shops and sights that will entertain and sate everyone's tastes. It was hard to say goodbye as we pulled away from pier on our trip down the coast. Thanks ALASKA, what a beautiful State, and wonderful people wherever you go. We enjoyed and so will you.

The town of Ketchikan, AK is one of my favorites. It is a very quaint port town. Plenty of shops, places to eat and a few museums. Creek Street is stunning, and you must walk the whole street if you visit.

We actually did this trip in August 2015. This area is just gorgeous! The boat ride was relaxing and informative with great views! Ketchikan was the first city in Alaska.

One of the great ports to visit in Alaska. Lots of sight-seeing and the timber and Lumber Jack show definitely a must. Ketchikan also holds the worlds largest collection of totem poles displayed in parks throughout the city. Ketchikan is named after Ketchikan Creek, which flows through the town, emptying into the Tongass Narrows a short distance southeast of its downtown.

3pm 7/22/23 The lady at the information stand didn’t like my question and let me know she didn’t like it. “I hate it when people ask me about the tours! There are umpteen tours out there.” This was my first time in Ketchikan, my first time in Alaska, my first question for the lady at the “Information booth.” She has the wrong job. Great first impression. Everywhere else we visited, people were very friendly and helpful. Skip this not-so-informative desk.

AMAZING little town. Sadly was raining when our cruise ship docked. Still walked around and looked in all the shops. People all so friendly and helpful.

Talking about the last of the wild. This place is still in the 1890s and the gold and jewelry prices are out of this world. Nothing reasonable but they think they are negotiating for a more realistic price and it's still too much to pay.
