After reading all the mixed reviews about The Southernmost Inn, I was nervous to book our stay there. However, the price and location was well worth the chance so I went for it and I am SO GLAD I DID! I don't have a single bad thing to say about our 5 night stay with them. All of the staff, front desk, maintenance, management, were so friendly and extremely helpful with everything. The atmosphere was so relaxed and laid back, unlike many other hotels with unnecessary stricted policies. They have 2 pools, one is heated and the other is regular. The jacuzzi was so refreshing with calming salts coming from the jets. They had 3 or 4 outdoor seating areas, one being a beautiful "quiet courtyard". The complimentary breakfast every morning was the perfect variety and the staff did a great job keeping all the food and drinks stocked for the next guest coming in, never running out of items. They also offer bike rentals for their guest as well, which was very affordable and convenient! I couldn't have been more happier and pleased with our stay at The Southernmost Inn and I would stay here over and over again! Any time I plan to travel to Key West, no doubt this is where I will be staying. Basically, I HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!

If your looking for friendly and accommodating staff you’ve come to the WRONG place. Rooms need a lot of updating, no key west vibe, thrift shop furniture. No attention to detail In any repairs. Trip hazards, tables that tip over. VERY gross mattress on pull out couch. We walked around barefoot in our room the first day and the bottom of our feet were black! Had to ask multiple times to get the floor cleaned. Go out for breakfast!! and don’t forget the $38 daily fee when you check in! Not certain what they are charging for? Good things: quiet spot. Private.

Clean, pretty room. Shower only, adequately cool. The bed was extremely comfortable. Pool and hot tub in a privacy fenced area with a few large iguanas walking around.. Location is perfect if you are looking to shop on Duval. The ONLY thing we didn't like is we did not know there was NO PARKING! They do not have GUEST PARKING! I have NEVER heard of such a thing! Then we were told we had to PAY for parking a couple streets over in a parking lot RESERVED for our hotel! What? Really? This rubbed me the wrong way. Be aware parking is Super expensive ANYWHERE you have to pay to park, Scooters, buggies and walking are preferred. I still gave the hotel a 4 star rating because it was nice. The parking upset me, though.

Employees were cold and not helpful. We were told multiple different things by multiple employees regarding our check in. Room was very small. Walls were dirty including moldy spots being painted over. Bathroom shower also had moldy spots. My allergies flared AWFUL while in the room. The blinds let in a TON of light which made sleeping in impossible. Only pro: the bed was comfortable and the air was nice and cool. The pool areas were nice and kept clean. Breakfast options limited. Coffee says Starbucks but doesn’t taste like it. It is very watered down. This is not worth more than $100/night in our opinion. We definitely overpaid :(

Great experience staying here! Pool areas are super nice and they have a bunch of Guanas roaming around which is fun to look at (don’t feed them Lol!) Location is good and Key West is small so it’s possible to walk the whole island, but you can also rent bikes etc. Our room was great (although the kitchen wasn’t equipped which could be an upgrade so you could cook if wanted) Staff was friendly and helpful. The entire place was clean and well maintained. You can park for free on the very next street so don’t pay If you want to save a little. Happy hour every day from 5-7 with cold wine and snacks!! Also good coffee and such available free all day.

The walls are paper thin. The pools were not clean. It was supposed to be an adult only experience but the guests were rowdy and acted like infants. If you were looking for a relaxing time this is not the place. The check in process was nice but that's where it ends. Would not recommend. Clean up the bar area that's become a storage shed please!

We felt ripped off after our stay. Our room was extraordinarily plain. There wasn’t a single decorative item. Our room didn’t look like any of those shown on the website. It was white, stark and uninspired. The bathroom followed that same theme. There wasn’t even a bedspread with some color in it… just multiple sheets in an attempt to create some weight. The outside of the building is very nice, but it all changes inside. It’s an old, poorly kept, dingy building. Very disappointing and extremely over-priced. I gave it 2 stars , because the breakfast was pretty good. Oh yeah. They charge a “resort” fee. That’s hysterical. It’s far from that. The staff were minimally helpful. If you ask for a towel, it seems like a big deal. I never could find the ice machine despite there being an ice bucket in the room. We were lucky enough to have a balcony but there is incredible sag in the middle. That’s going to cave in eventually. I saw others complain about parking. There looked to be 3-4 parking spots. We parked on the street with no issues. It’s just not the romantic, attractive hotel that it looked like online. We were very disappointed, and we won’t be back.

Yes, the rooms are small, but the bed is soft, the location is great, and the staff are incredibly friendly and hospitable. They were happy to let us store bags and even invited us to use the pool before check-in and after check-out. Always a smile and kindness - I would much rather stay here than a chain hotel, this Inn feels like a B&B.

Great place to stay. The property has character yet also has modern updates. You find the rooms are very clean and well maintained. They offer 2 pools; one is heated the other not so. They jacuzzi tub is a nice size and located right by the pool. Breakfast is included from 8 am to 10 am. Happy hour is daily in the main entrance providing wine and snacks. Tamesha is there daily, and she is absolutely wonderful and accommodating. Check in is at 4 pm with check out at 11 am. You are a short walk to Duval Street, the water, bars, restaurants and shops. I highly recommend you consider staying here. Keep in mind this is an adult only establishment.

This place is a must!!! Very nice rooms, super nice staff, and right next to Duval Street plus is adults only!! 2 pools and a hottub in the court yard that is cleaned daily. Everyone, including guests, were so sweet and friendly!!! If I could have stayed here my while trip I would have!!! Definitely going to be coming back as soon as I can!!! Lifelong memories were made in 24 hours!!! Heads up on the Iguanas, they like to hang out with you by the pool. They didn't bother anyone they just wanted to enjoy the pool side too!

This place is awesome. Staff is very friendly and attentive, constantly keeping things clean, and orderly. Pool was great and our room had a great view. The price was very reasonable for the location, which was only a few steps from Duval Street. Nice relaxing atmosphere and the continental breakfast was awesome. There’s a wonderful breakfast place right next door called Frenchies Cafe that we went to. It was only a few feet away. Everything you need is there. Can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend.

Awful experience. I booked a room for two nights here a week before mother's day for my mom to have a great time. However, our stay was absolutely awful. The room had a very loud AC that made it hard to sleep, and a few of the blinds on the windows were broken or snapped, and had to be covered by bathroom towels so nobody could see inside. The parking was $40 and isnt even at the hotel. You have to park a couple blocks away and for $40 its kind of inconvenient. The hallways in the second building are also very warm, humid, and smells very weird. The breakfast is awful and you basically get a broken microwave everyone shares that takes 15 mins to warm anything, hard and tasteless bagels, dry muffins, and waffles that don't taste like anything at all. They charged an extra $80 for "hotel fees" we had already paid online, and when we called for a refund we were yelled at by the manager who wouldn't let us finish speaking about our experience or the mix up on being charged twice. They also won't break down what exactly the double charge for the hotel fee was and after reading other reviews, we now realize we should've stayed somewhere else since others are also having issues with double charges and hidden fees. If you come to Key West stay away from this place!!!

This place is most definitely the place to stay if visiting Key West!!! The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The rooms were perfect and clean. The pool area was always nice and clean. The iguanas made for the perfect touch. I cannot express how perfect this place is. We will only stay here when visiting Key West. Oh and location is perfect. 20 minutes walk or bike ride to anywhere.

Had to find a place to stay for spontaneous one night trip to Key West. Most places have a minimum night stay. I was happy to find this place. But make sure ask for pictures of your room. I felt like I was in a kids room. Twin bed with slanted ceiling. I bumped my head a few times 🤪 And most important tip. No Elevator. I had to take my suitcase and three bags up two flight of stairs after a pool party. 🤦🏼‍♀️

We loved this place. The room was bigger than expected and super clean. You are in walking distance to all you need in key west. The pools are nice and clean. The only thing that was kind of annoying is the fact that the breakfast is served on paper plates with plastic forks. Is that an american thing? And the AC in the room is not adjustable, thus it was freezing cold. Other than that we truely loved it.

Front desk staff is extremely rude and unhelpful, waited at least 20 mins for someone to come to the front during check in, waited another 20 before I went to find someone to check out and the level of attitude was unbelievable…she was completely bothered by the fact she had to come check me out. Then you add on top of that the state of the room, dirty floors, literally had to wear a pair of socks so that our feet weren’t black and shelves barely hanging on the wall are unusable. Then you have the ridiculous resort fee for zero added amenities. Only the location makes even worth considering… never again!

Below average experience here. Staff were rude, even before setting foot on the premises. We called to check where the parking was, due to road works making it unclear, and the receptionist was so unhelpful. It almost appeared to be an inconvenience whenever we would ask a question during our stay. Parking was extortionate!!! We paid $150 for 3 nights after tax. Was told it was $25 per night, then when tax was added and it came to a higher total than expected, the receptionist came back with a sarcastic “welcome to key west sir”. Got to our room and it was TINY. No dresser or table, had to use the top of the fridge to do my make up. It was dingy, dirty and rundown. Floor was weirdly uneven and there were marks on the wall where old screws had been. The lock on the door was worn. The A/C was ridiculously loud and would let off a stale, musty smell. The window was covered it what looked like mould. I’ve stayed in hostels that are a lot nicer. Walls are paper thin, we had a loud couple next door fighting and banging at 2am and due to there being no onsite receptionist/security throughout the night, there was no one to assist so we had no choice but to endure a live episode of Jeremy Kyle. Housekeeping available after 2nd night. Given it’s a small hotel I would expect my room to be made up each day. When it was made up, the buns were still full and the toilet paper wasn’t topped up. Breakfast was included but mediocre. The dining area was dingy, awkwardly quiet, needed some sort of background noise. Starbucks coffee machine was ok but not great, only had black coffee or hot chocolate. Happy hour was pathetic, cheap wine and a few blocks of cheese. No options for soft drinks throughout the day, website says vending machine but we didn’t see this anywhere? The pool area was nice and quiet and the overall location was good but still not enough to make up for the generally rubbish standards. Such a shame as the building itself is lovely from the outside and inn has so much potential but needs a serious update and a good bit of TLC.

If you are looking for a quite peaceful place this is it. This place is wonderful.Close to the shops, and food. The staff are very friendly. If you want an adult vacation you got it here. No one under 18. Two pools. Great breakfast area. Will be planning to go back

I absolutely recommend staying here. Kia at the front desk was so helpful and professional. The entire property was extremely clean. It's an adult only inn which was nice because it was nice and quiet except for the jazz music playing in the background by pool area which was a nice touch. There's two pools and one jacuzzi so you don't have to feel like you're swimming with a bunch of strangers. Breakfast was delicious in the morning and was offered from 8-10 which is great for the people who don't want to get up super early to eat. They offer a free happy hour with snacks and wine. The location is about two blocks from the southernmost point buoy and about a 25 minute walk to Mallory square which isn't bad because there are so any stops on the way and so much to look at. I definitely recommend staying here if you're heading to key west.

Not the most updated hotel/guest house you will find but my room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I don’t need a 5 star resort when I travel, I just need a clean place to store my stuff, sleep and shower. This place offered a decent continental breakfast and happy hour daily. There are 2 pools and a hot tub. Location is great - literally 1 block from Duval street at the Southern end- it’s the quiet end of Duval. Will definitely stay there again.

Awesome place, very clean, friendly staff. Gorgeous house, nice balconies to sit on, heated pool and cold water pool. Hot tub and gym. Would definitely stay again.

We booked this place on august 24th 2022 and when we arrived the room I booked looked nothing like the pictures it was literally the size of a closet and their was dust everywhere and trash still left in the trash cans and a bottle of liquor in the fridge, I’m sure if everything was clean the rooms would’ve been fine just be careful when your booking and also if you have to park a car and they “run out of room” in their lot you will have to find overnight parking elsewhere which by the way costed me 40$ dollars a night to park. Check in staff was alright but kind of rude at the same time about the parking issue. Be prepared to be kept up all night they say the pool closes at 10pm but there was people outside blasting music till about 2:00am and screaming and yelling and you can’t call the front desk to say anything because they leave at 10:00pm I wish I wasn’t in a rush to book something or I would’ve gone elsewhere I am very disappointed.

This hotel is barely ok. It needs updating everywhere, the hallway carpet looks 25 years old, the bathrooms are tiny with old fixtures and shower tiles that are caulked over 10X. The bed was comfortable, but the walls are thin and my louvered shades did not work. Most of the staff is complacent or grumpy, when they’re around. My room attendant left an envelope for a tip, but I had to call for towels the second day bc she didn’t clean my room my first night. The reception woman was nice except she told me in a strong voice to put my shorts back on while I was in the jacuzzi. Huh? It’s an adult resort so I don’t understand why you can’t be nude when no one else around cared, and I saw a nude guy earlier and there was a nude woman nearby also. Confusing. There are other adult resorts nearby that allow topless or nude around the pool area. I’ll be avoiding this hotel in the future.

Had the best week here!! All the staff were very kind and accommodating! Great breakfast, pool, room, and hot tub! Location is great too because it's not in the busy area but still close by enough to walk to Duval street!

A great spot for the price. Most everything is no more than 20 minute walk away so you don’t have to drive. Decent breakfast. Cute rooms and who doesn’t love free wine and snacks for happy hour? Would definitely stay again.

As long as you know what you are getting into, you will like this property. Quit street. Wonderful staff. Pool and hot tub are nice to have. Friendly guests. No drama. If expect 5 star amenities than book a 5 star inn/hotel. The Southernmost Inn provides a small clean room, breakfast, coffee, and filtered water. Not much more than that but they don't claim they do. Rent a bike and enjoy the island. I would come back again as they meet the expectations they set.

I had a very nice time in Key west. Southern most inn was quite comfortable, be careful there are 2 the one across the street is for families which I went to by mistake. The room was nice comfortable bed and very clean. Nice pool area breakfast. The also had a little cocktail time later in the evening. It is right around the corner from the southern most point and of course I had to take a pic at that location
