Hotel is OK at best. Rooms are spacious, but very dated. Hotel is dog friendly which is a plus, the pool was nice and large, but was lacking lounge chairs. The hotel is located far away from everything…. on the flip side, they do offer a “complimentary” shuttle to take you places. My issue and low rating is due to the amount of fees you are charged staying here. This hotel is quite frankly the Spirit Airlines of hotels. They will lure you in with a low nightly fee and then tag on a whole bunch of additional fees and charges. The most questionable fee is the credit card fee, this one is not disclosed anywhere but you notice it on your bank statement after check out. When calling the hotel regarding this, they simply said “This is a credit card convenience fee”, well maybe they should disclose this when checking out… it wasn’t even on the statement they provided. Anyways 2 stars, would be a 1 if it wasn’t for the pool and friendly staff upon check out.

This place is great! They gave us two drink vouchers for the bar, which we could use for any drink. The bartender was extreme busy the night we were there for the holidays but made sure to let us know he will get with us in a second. Although drink maybe took a bit but he didn’t forget about us. They also have a hot tub, and the pool is nicely heated. The beds were nice and the check in was seamless. Would definitely stay again!

My stay was short but I loved it! So glad I found this place. Annette at the front desk was very friendly, kind and polite Unique lobby and room decor. Clean room. Beautiful pool and outdoor bar and eating area. Free shuttle to downtown areas and great food!! Would definitely stay here again and will definitely recommend to others:) Thank you!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Havana Cabana. The lobby was very creative and tastefully done with the Cuban decor. We were in room 116 which was right outside the pool and bar area, which was the perfect location when walking right outside our door. Unlike other reviews I have read, our room was very clean and neat. My only complaint is that the shower did not get real hot. The food was good and the bartender, Vadim was very nice. The staff was very accommodating to our needs. We would definitely stay here again!

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in my life. Everything is beautiful and well maintained. Staff is awesome and super super friendly. The pool is great, and they always have fun floats for the guests. DJ music was spot on on style and volume. Bar staff is great and the drinks are really really good. John, the shuttle driver deserves a review just for him. What an amazing guy! I'll recommend this hotel for every friend I have, and I can't wait to come back!

Not gonna lie; For the price and the quality of room you get, you’re better off booking a hotel closer to Duval st. The hotel has a reliable shuttle service but you’re bound to their schedule. The shuttle drivers are extremely accommodating but they’re working for tips, and one driver got visibly frustrated when I didn't have extra cash for him. (understandable I guess) The room was decorated interestingly. Unfortunately there was construction being done on the room next door and it woke us up early on one of our mornings there. Additionally, there was no hot water, only cold and slightly warm. The room did however have a keurig to make your own coffee, which was cool. On a more positive note, the pool area was a great vibe! You could have a whole vacation in just their courtyard alone. They’ve got a bar with multiple bartenders, bean bag toss, a food truck, a shaded patio area, and a beautiful pool. Service was nice and very friendly, but someone accidentally (I believe) misinformed me at the front desk regarding deposits and resort fees, and I ended up spending much more than I initially anticipated. Overall it was still a chill spot, I just feel like I overpaid a little bit all considering. Next time I would stay closer the Duval st for a similar price.

We found the hotel so welcoming since the beginning. We received a very nice treatment from each one of the staff members, specially Maria and Ron, who genuinely took care of all our requests. We mentioned we were newly married and they immediately brought a congratulations champagne bottle to our room. They also gave us very informative suggestions about Key West restaurants, tours, bars and historical places to visit. They have a nice pool area where they sometimes offer complementary drinks and parties. The hotel provides a free shuttle to the city centre every 30 minutes, which is a very convenient way to get to downtown without a hassle. This place made us feel at home.

This hotel is a really gem and we enjoyed every single minute of our stay. When you come to your room, you find a pair of sunglasses on your bed as a gift. Which we thought was really good because my partner forgot his. :-) Nice Gimick The rooms are clean and nice decorated. You'll find everything you need for your weekend getaway. The pool is also clean and you can enjoy some live music in the afternoon. If you like to party at night or do some sightseeing during the day, there is a shuttle service free of charge offered by the hotel too. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone to do it also.

Facility (pool and bar) has a real nice layout, front desk staff was very helpful. Rooms are nothing special and clothes/towels do not dry much while hanging - not great air circulation within the rooms. One day while raining, water was dripping from the ceiling and maintenance staff claimed it was condensation - and to prevent this, we needed to have the AC in the low 60s. There are a few things wrong with this problem and suggested solution. Upon arrival our mini fridge did not work. It was replaced with a new one within 30 minutes of reporting it to the front desk. Check in was a breeze. Food is only available via on site food truck. We only tried their breakfast menu, it's a little over priced for quantity and quality. Shuttle to and from Old Town was always on time, however the last shuttle back is 10:30pm so you cannot enjoy much of the night life. It was a decent stay but we are going to look elsewhere for our return visit.

Second time here and this place has such a cool Cuban vibe. Outside they have the pool bar and a street food truck that serves amazing food. Great Cuban sandwiches. The rooms are decent and the prices are reasonable and they actually have a bus that will escort you to Duvall Street to have a good time at night.

Stayed at this nice, clean boutique hotel for a weekend getaway with my husband. It was a lot more affordable than other hotels close to Duval street due to the fact it was about 15-20 min outside of historic Key West. They had a free shuttle that took you downtown every half hour, which was really nice. Also, the pool was just beautiful! If you’re looking to stay in Key West and don’t mind not being close to all the action.. this is the place for you!

From the moment bubbly Annette checked us in we were swept away by Havana Cabana, the rooms were impeccable and the sunglasses were a nice touch along with the welcome drinks which we enjoyed while playing the fun games around the pool. The staff was however my favorite part of the experience, very sweet and attentive. I hope ownership also goes above and beyond to make them happy as they did for us :) looking forward to my next stay.

Not the best. The lobby is cute, the bartenders are amazing, and the free shuttle is nice since the hotel is so far from everything. But the tall night shift woman at the front desk was rude to me & I also saw her arguing with another guest. The rooms need TLC. Our room smelled bad & there’s mold in the grout of the shower.

Beautiful quiet oasis in Key West. I loved the vibe of this hotel. The lobby was cool, staff was super friendly and helpful. The pool is amazing and the pool bar and food was so good. We loved having breakfast by the pool before starting the day’s adventures. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfy, with a decent sized and clean bathroom. Our room did smell a little musty when we got to it, but with so much to do we did not spend much time there!

Its very quaint. Beautiful pool. The connoisseur Lisa is amazing. When you first arrive go visit with her and she'll help you plan your stay and make reservations for things to do and places to eat. The staff is excellent. The property is well kept and designed. There are many daily activities for kids and adults. A fantastic location and place to stay.

We had the most fabulous time at Havana Cabana! My number one reason for choosing this over any others is for the dog friendly atmosphere. All of the staff were so kind and welcoming to me and my dog. The shuttle service was amazing! All of the drivers were beyond welcoming and professional. I felt safe on the shuttle and at the resort. The parking was safe and secure. It was so refreshing to not have to worry about my car or having to drive. We already made reservations to go back.

If you're looking for high-end luxury, Havana Cabana is not for you. If you're looking for authentic Key West, this is a really good place. Rooms are kinda small (the attached pic was taken as we were checking out, so it's not a great representation). Bathroom is definitely small. And it's really not as close to Duval St as their information implies. But there's a great pool, good outdoor bar, reliable shuttle for the short ride downtown, and a friendly staff. It worked nicely for us, hope it will for you.

Overall a good experience having never been to Key West, this an older place it seems to be to me but clean and across the highway street is the ocean. Guess I'm used to staying in newer place since I usually go to Vegas every year on the Strip casino hotel. The service is good but they did forgot bathroom twice in the week that I stayed there. Key West is premium location place and there is a $54 resort fee charge which is reasonable because it includes shuttle service to and from airport pickup and going downtown Mallory Square every half hour along with parking, and a full breakfast in the morning. Shuttle driver like Val is friendly and gave out good recommendation. Access to a super market is a short walking distance and a decent Chinese restaurant right next door without crossing the street.

Super cute homey feeling. The property is great. The bathroom is decent and bed is comfy. I would recommend you pay the extra for the balcony faces the ocean and offers magnificent view. The pool superb the food delicious. Shuttle service drops you off about 5 blocks from Duval street and runs every 30 minutes No elevator at the property

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff, pool, and food service were great. They were on top of it! We ended up extending our stay another night! 😊 We were first-time visitors here in Key West, and the staff really made it memorable. We will definitely be back!

Food at hotel is surprisingly good. Pool is awesome! Staff is awesome as well! Gym isn’t bad. The shuttle is wonderful! Keep in mind you are paying for all these amenities; $280 is the hefty price you will have to pay. …but unfortunately, the room is only ok. The bathroom is a huge miss. There are no shelves whatsoever to use for anything ( place old or new clothing). The toilet flush is terrible! …and yes, that is important to me.

Loved this hotel. The bar area by the pool had a great vibe. The pool itself was fab and in a beautiful setting. Food was good too. Rooms were a little small/impractical for families, but prob great for couples. The look and feel as you walked in to reception was very welcoming with great decor. Overall, loved it.

This place is awesome, fun pool, helpful staff, luxurious beds. But I really want to give a special bod to the housekeeping staff. When you walk into the rooms they are immaculate. Absolutely gorgeous. Also, the shower door was so clean that I didn’t even see it. I just tried to step right in and wound up stubbing my toe. Exceptional work!

Stayed 2 nights and while most staff were good there was very little help from checkin staff , infact I thought they bordered on rude . Rooms were clean and spacious , pool area was great, the meals we had were very tasty and the staff in this area were also great, so on the whole a good hotel.

Cute little gem at the top of the island. Food truck makes tasty fare, and the bartenders are friendly. The pool area is a lovely oasis, perfect if you have younger kids and want a bit of distance from the cruise ship crowds and the revelers on Duval. (You'd never guess the main road was right outside!) Shuttles to/from Old Town were prompt and reliable, which was nice. Comfy rooms, pretty good soundproofing, really nice towels. Took off a star because it took an act of Congress to get our shower gel replaced.

We had a marvelous time at the Havana Cabana. Jody the manager was absolutely helpful made our stay so pleasant. Melissa was also so responsive to any questions we had. The convenience of all stores being walking distance was a plus. Let me not forget Hubert his friendliness and assistance with any and everything we may needed. The staff, the gentleman driving the shuttle busses, the view of the pool with the fabulous lights and ocean, the food was excellent. We will definitely come back! We appreciate everything!

Absolutely loved our stay at this Florida resort! The food was fantastic, and the service was top-notch. The only downside was the surprise resort fees, but it didn't dampen our experience. We had a blast and are already planning a return trip in the new year. Highly recommend for a memorable getaway!

We spent 2 days at Havana Cabana for our 5 yr wedding anniversary and it was hands down the best experience. Front desk staff Annette, Jabora, the night attendant, pool attendant, housekeeping (literally all the staff). This resort very much pulls off the Cuba theme and provided much needed rest/relaxation for. We had a beautiful pool view that was quiet and night and amusing to people watch for the little bit of time we spent in the room. The heated pool and the hot tub were clean and well kept. Overall I highly recommend this hotel and know we will be back.

Poor customer service, many mistakes were made by the staff. Staff is incredibly rude and rooms were misrepresented. Rooms look nothing like they do online. They are also dirty. Check in was a disaster, with one check in person and taking an hour to get the room to find out the hotel was overbooked. Front desk staff seems new or have very little knowledge. Rooms were overbooked. Price was misrepresented as well. The manager, a tall man, was unapologetic and rude as well. I can see why this hotel gets poor ratings. The right hand don’t know what the left hand is doing. For the price, this hotel is severely lacking. It has been modestly remodeled just enough in order to snap some good photos but lacks basic things. It’s liked someone tried but ran out of money or something. Very frustrating. First and last stay here.

Resort vibe without overpriced resort price. Our room was near the outdoor bar, but was still quiet. Beautiful, big pool and deck with food and drink at hand. Friendly staff, daily housekeeping, lovely products in the room, big shower. Top notch. Will recommend and visit again.
