Came here on a random Tuesday night while in Moscow and had a great time. Even though I was by myself, I felt very comfortable because the atmosphere/staff were all very welcoming. Great place to check out to meet other English speakers, and in general a fun place to hang out in. I wish I would have found this place earlier in my trip because they have international parties and other themed events on the weekends! Would definitely recommend stopping by!

People from Moscow, all around Russia, and all around the world! Kind of a basement dive bar but in a good way. Solid dance floor playing popular songs with occasional theme parties and holiday celebrations. Cheap drinks too! Everybody knows each other and making friends and conversation is very easy! My favorite spot in Moscow! Oh, and security isn't pushy and ownership and management are English speaking and always on premise.

Place itself pretty small, but still cool though) One tiny dance room with bar and stage and a slightly bigger eating zone with tables. Thursday nights is the best, since you can enjoy or perform yourself on the open microphone. Venue basically without face control :) Very good neighbourhood with other great bars and clubs.

I have lived in Moscow for three years. We can all agree it's quite a long time. Jim n jacks is more than a bar for me, it's a social club. I can come any day of the week and at any time, there will be somebody that I know. I'll be honest, I don't normally review stuff but this place is special to me. This is the only real expat bar in Moscow and the staff are wonderful. You can still find Russians here but they are more open minded towards expats than in other places. I hope you come here, and if you meet me, I'll buy you a drink. HA. Nah the prices are alright here, like 250 roubles for a gin n tonic and you can pay in foreign currency. Well that's the end of my review. If you recognise my name, I probably would buy ya a drink!

I’ve been a longtime patron and regular performer at Jim ’n Jack’s, and have seen them go through many different eras of management, regulars, and entertainment schedules but the vibe is always one of family. It’s something in between an event venue and a dive bar and an expat hangout, but if you just walk in and sit at a table or a bar, somebody’s sure to eventually come up to you and introduce themselves to you. Many years ago it was a safe and supportive space to start getting on stage at their weekly stand up open mic, and now - 6 years later - it’s become an institution that I’m happy to be a part of every Saturday. In addition to performing comedy, I go there because it’s a place where I know there’ll always be someone to chat with an English, and it’s become a default hangout for many people in my social circle. All in all, a cool underground place to take in some English-language entertainment and hang out with foreigners ;)
