I did not stay at this hotel however.... My wife is from Khon Kaen and so on our visit to her home town she had to come to this hotel to sing some Karaoke, thus I learned about Show Time Karaoke located in the sub level of the hotel next to the snooker hall. The airconditioned environment was a fantastic reprieve from the heat. Comfortable sofas adorn the main stage area and the atmosphere was quite nice. Drinks are cold and the food was good but best of all the prices were very reasonable. There are VIP rooms that seat up to about 15 people where you can sing to your hearts content. The service is very good and for those single guys there is a choice of over 30 ladies which are more than happy to provide company at your request while you howl out your favorite songs. They do not "hound you" like many places in Thailand, providing more of an upscale feel and atmosphere for people like my wife that just love to sing (as best they can anyway) πŸ˜€ All in all the place was nice and the vip rooms run about 300 baht per hour. The place like most entertainment venues gets crackin' after 11 pm so during our time there, it was just getting busy near our departure time. A little place to check out that is NOT on Google maps. FYI

Classic hotel, old school. Centrally located. Has a classic style night club. Clean rooms, very clean. Normal good check-in service.

3 stars is generous. Here's the good, the bad, and the terrible. The good: The room was clean and comfortable. The water pressure was high. The view was nice. The bad: The view was covered in bird poop. The bathtub was rusted and in need of repair (not terribly but...). The buffet breakfast was ok but could have easily been good except that there were clear signs of too much skimping. For instance, the little burners under the hot dishes left the food, at best, luke cold, and when I asked for ham in my one-egg omelet they put about 5 tiny pieces in it. The bread available for toast had been sitting there long enough that it was hard around the edges. The terrible: Do not come here if you must have internet! It is truly bad news. Can't connect most of the time, got dropped once I did connect, the login page wouldn't come up most of the time I spent 2 hours trying to get 10 minutes-worth of work done. To the management: don't advertise that you provide WiFi unless there is also internet access. Get that stuff fixed!

The best years are behind it. Hotel is at least as old as it's view. Cleaning doesn't help anymore. I would not recommend the hotel. A complete renovation is due. What looks like an escalator might have been one 30 years ago. I cannot recommend this hotel more highly.

Very clean, good service, I definitely recommend the Continental Breakfast eat all can, omelets are done right in front of you while you wait πŸ‘. Overall, you are getting more than what you paid for.

The hotel has potential but needs a serious makeover. Elevator keys are not registering the selection, LED lights in the room not turning off and flickering the whole night.

The main reason I choose an upper-mid end hotel is for bed comfort. I have a hip problem, and I can't sleep properly on hard beds. All the wonderful things Charoen Thani gives you (eg spacious, well-furnished, carpeted, rooms, and a bathtub), are a bonus. So it's a shame that they could offer me only an hard mattress on a queen-sized bed, even when I asked the receptionist for an upgrade.

It’s okay… luxurious rooms but clearly they are 1000 baht online. When we showed up tired suddenly their cheapest room was 2500. Escalators not working and WiFi is highly unstable. Use Agoda or something to book a reasonable price. Pool is lackluster β€” abandoned completely with no towels or staff.

Great service, friendly, clean, great location, great price. Couldn't ask for more.

Despite a snafu by agoda, and an unclear who is the owner of a refusal to move back an intended reservation. We had to use the unintended dates. To our great surprise: the room was perfect. Big ,with old fashioned decor, which I liked a lot. Just be careful how you use agoda. Make sure you photograph the confirmation, and wait for the promised email with final confirmation before heading there.

Very nice hotel and very well located. Close to bars and restaurants, right in the city centre. Large and quiet room. Covered parking for car and motorbike. Very nice and friendly. The staff is courteous and smiling. Hot shower, air conditioning and mini bar.

Easy to fined, buffet breakfast is good ask they will make vegan for you, staff are wonderful we had a sick baby and they let me wonder about with the buggy at 2/3/5/6am and got me a coffee. The pool needs a little work, but the bath tub was deep and big, TV and as all wired fine, no English but I speak Thai so it's OK. Kids stayed free and no problem at all. Booked on booking. Com was more than half price on the door. Rooms not big but just what you need Bed was nice too

Very old style hotel which is good in the sense that there is a certain charm to it but not so good in the sense it does need an upgrade in parts, for example threadbare sofas in rooms, the pool is not appealing at all. Staff were generally ok but are missing simple things like greetings and a warm smile. Also please do not stare at people whilst we are eating (tycoon restaurant). Check in and check out are laborious and much is manual. Having said all that there is a real charm to this place. Having a physical key to get in to your room, old fashioned elevator, quaint furnishings. For the price it is quite good value but prices are very low elsewhere in Thailand but khon khaen maintains its prices as it is not really a tourist destination.

I like how their staff welcome you. They are polite and helpful. When you checkin, they will serve you a welcome drink. I do not sure about the policy but i stayed with a group and I can order drink and some cakes. The hotel look a bit old from outside but inside is ok as pictures i uploaded. In the room, you can see a bolw of complementary fruit on the table (apple, orange, banana and grape) and 2 bottles of water as usual. In bathroom has a bathtub. The thing i do not like is no plug to charge my phone around bed areaπŸ˜‚ because i want my phone to be near. So i have to charge and put in front of a mirror near TV. Btw, even you are hungry at night you can walk around hotel area and find many local restaurant open at night or just a convenient store 7/11 open 24hours that make you comfortable.
