Stayed May 9-12th. I am unable to say much positive about my experience. Unsure who gave 4-stars but barely 2 stars in my opinion. Arrived after a long flight, greeted in a poor manner by desk staff. They seemed to lack training on customer service other than the new employee who did smile at me and tried to greet me but was new and unsure how to assist me at check-in since I arrived an hour early and they sent me away until 2:00 PM. The room was a nice size but had not been updated since the 1990s. The air quality was poor, not sure if the filter was just old or what but I could hardly breathe. I had to open a small window to get fresh air. On arrival, the entrance had a green moat since no one cleaned it. The swimming pool was not usable with slimy green water. Looks nothing like the website photos. Great job by the marketing team on the photos, the place looks great on the web. The complimentary breakfast buffet was a nice touch to the stay but the food was not hot and ....the café manager made me a powered egg omelet when I did not watch him. He had a basket of real eggs at the station which I assumed he used but found out he did not when I took a bite and realized it was some powdered egg mix. They do not change your sheets and say it is an "eco-friendly" hotel with a room sign. They will make your bed with the request. They encourage you to reuse your dirty towels by hanging them but will change if you leave them on the floor. I call this lazy if a “4 Star,” not eco anything. The shower in the tub has a 2-foot cord so you cannot stand up to take a shower. The cord reaches your waist only. You must squat to your knees if you wash your upper body or head. I have never seen anything like it unless you are camping outdoors. The step down from the shower/tub is 2 feet and you will fall if not careful. They offer little cube sheets for toilet paper, do not expect to use paper to clean after the toilet. The safe is tiny so do not expect to put your laptop in it. They offer two hangers for your clothes? The sitting chair is a 1990s single-seat style you sit on at a convention. The room looked and felt horrible. The carpet was dreadful and moldy. I would never take a family to this hotel. It is my opinion someone is sleeping on the job or the owner does not care rather than trying to make this hotel a decent place to stay. Maybe it was better in the ’90s but today it is a horrible place and someone should go back to Hotel Management School or ownership should pay a few dollars to a handyman to paint and clean up the place. My advice, go to one of the other two large hotels down the street by the marketplace and skip this one, this place will disappoint. NO excuses or “we will try to improve” can be offered by management if they even monitor customer feedback or care, my stay and memory is dreadful and cannot be repeated.

This was a 4 star hotel a few years ago. Now it is in desperate need of a refresh. The room was showing a ton of wear, and was not clean. The bar next door was apparently hosting a heavy metal band, and didn't shut down until after midnight. We would have went somewhere else, but was incredibly tired. The free breakfast was tasty and clean.

Front desk staff were great. Room needs repairs/ upgrade. Water damage to door frames. Breakfast was bad. Nothing set up on time. Rice soup was only water and rice, no flavor or meat. Daughter was in free stay category but they would only let two of us eat on our prepaid breakfast reservation. Pool was in need of cleaning. Location is good. Lots of restaurants in walking distance.

The hotel is ok but looking tired. The big turn off is breakfast. The choice for westerners is slim. That is ok but everything is stone cold. Cooked at 6:30 and sat in cold trays thereafter. Despite complaints to staff then management nothing was done. Do like I saw many Thai bring in food from outside because one piece of toast and insipid coffee is not my idea of breakfast. Staff service splits into 2 groups the could not care less play on phones restaurant staff especially the supervisor who get 1 star, the others get 4 stats. Hint to owners 'do something '

A 4⭐️star hotel at 3⭐️price but 5⭐️service. It may have been years in establishment but the staff has kept the rooms clean and everything in good working order. Staff were all so friendly and helpful, not just the concierge, but also the chambermaids, restaurant staff, technicians who came to adjust the aircon temperature and to help me unlock the room safe. It made such a good impression of my 4-day stay here.

We've booked a Superior Room with a King sized bed and were immediately pleasantly approached by a nice porter who carried our bags to the 7th floor. Although I felt like the service in the hotel was great, the room didn't entirely convince me. It was dirty and the furniture had scratches and stains all over it. Suddenly, we've noticed small ants crawling up the bedsheets and the bathroom sink. The paintings on the wall were askew and you only got one proper pillow per person. On a positive note, the location was quite central and the prices were affordable.

Attempted to get a early check-in. Ten people checked out and manager had me waiting for two hours before talking to me. Then he said it would be another two hours. After three hours goes by manager tells me it will be an additional 200 an hour for checking in early, a total of another 700. I have a big bike group of 20 bikers coming through Khon Kaen in August from Chiang Mai. We won’t be staying at this hotel as planned. Breakfast was horrible, the pool was small and outdated. Most of all the management is incompetent with a lack of training and customer service. Managers philosophy is to step over a dollar to pick up a nickel. Horrible experience!

To be honest this is a hotel which has passed its prime. But for the price you pay for a room , it's clean, staff are helpful, wifi works perfect and the water in the shower is as hot as you will ever want it. If you need a good budget hotel then you will not go far wrong here. There is a good selection of eaterys and bars 3 mins walk.. so overall not bad.

At the check in counter, Ian was very easy going, good English speaking, helpful and followed through with all our requests. The hotel possesses a lot of elegance and has a great breakfast. Recommended to anyone who wants to travel to the heart of Khon Kaen

I would've rated higher but there was a loud engine motor noise cutting in and out all night outside the building.. maybe a generator. It was a short walk to bar area..

A bit high for the price at 120” THB/Night included breakfast which can’t find meat and not refill when empty. Room condition is 2.5/5 score. Staff&Service 4/5, Food 1/5

Very friendly staff and good breakfast. Once a luxurious hotel but now in need of refurbishment especially the rooms. Central location

Wifi is super slow, it seems the whole building shares one wifi router. The internet is basically useless. The parking lot is small and cramped. The water doesn't get that hot.

Overall for a hotel it’s decent with almost everything that a hotel has to offer to its guest. Location of Hotel is great as it’s near to all the places to visit in Khon Kaen. Staff is friendly and welcoming hotel is well maintained. Overall it’s a good hotel for stay and not demanding much. I’ve enjoyed my stay at Glacier Khon Kaen.
