What a great meal we both had schnitzel which was enormous with salad and a large ppl late of chips. Great service and a price that was very reasonable considering the location, it would have cost a lot more in the UK.

All in all super super good. Food was delicious, everything was perfect. The waitresses were also super friendly and accommodating, and also responded to requests. If that were possible, a solid 10 stars for everything. Absolutely recommendable. Will definitely be back.

We found a stylish restaurant with a quiet atmosphere with my sister and friend. The waiter was very friendly and accommodating all evening. Bluard duck and venison goulash are highly recommended. I'll definitely go to the Ratskeller again. Everything is nice and clean. Must try.

Really good schnitzel

Nice and huge restaurant with a very friendly and highly professional service. Great outdoor seating with the company of beautiful sea gulls. The food was OK, the sauces (on the salad as well as on the fish and meat) tasted and looked like badly prepared finished products. That could certainly be improved, every else was great. Thanks.

We went to Ratskeller in Kiel during our 2019 cruise to the Baltic, the place is so original, the food was magnificent, and the service was excellent. I hope they open again since we are planning another trip to Germany in 2022, and Kiel was in our plans specific to eat at this magnificent restaurant.

Really good food and nice service in central Kiel. Inside of restaurant is very nice and cozy. We will definitly go back there, during our next visit in Kiel! The meat was tender and the breading was just right. We were served by a wonderful waitress (blonde, short hair) who gave us a superb service. If you're looking for beer and german food, this is the place.

Authentic German restaurant with good service and great atmosphere. Schnitzel fans will love this place but vegans will struggle here.

Standard German medium food. But very nice and good atmosphere

The food was SO GOOD. The servings were huge and we weren't able to finish but honestly very highly recommend. Our waitress was so sweet and she was attentive to our needs. Very nice place.

It was a good dinner. Of course knowing what the place is, do not expect sofisticated dishes or an interesting wine list. But for tradiitonal German food and good local bier it is defintely a good option. Friendly staff and nice location. Good for a group dinner, probably not so good for a intimate one.

The portions were large, and the menu more Italian than German. But we liked the food there. It was great comfort food. And though German food really isn't vegetarian friendly, they had enough options for us. The reason I am leaving this review is to help other vegetarians who can't speak a word of German find food in the neighbourhood.
