If
you
want
to
enjoy
coffee
and
cake,
the
workshop
café
is
one
of
the
best
addresses
in
Kiel.
The
homemade
cake
is
excellent.
The
gooseberry
cake
advertised
on
the
café's
website
is
truly
the
highlight.
Unlike
most
cakes,
cream
is
not
primarily
used
here.
I
don't
know
exactly
what
the
replacement
was,
something
like
Quark
or
something.
Sour
cream-like.
In
any
case,
it
goes
perfectly
with
the
slightly
sour
gooseberries.
The
other
offerings
also
do
not
belong
to
the
classic
sugar
and
cream
group,
which
I
very
much
welcome.
For
example,
the
almond
cherry
cake
also
tastes
wonderful.
The
cheesecake
is
also
very
good,
but
I
like
classic
cheesecake
a
little
better
than
this
one.
However,
this
is
more
about
preference
nuances
than
fundamental
criticism.
In
addition
to
the
culinary
delights,
the
ambience
is
also
very
pleasant.
The
wall
tiles
of
the
former
slaughterhouse
stand
in
a
stylistically
convincing
contrast
to
the
simple
coffee
house
furniture.
Despite
the
interior,
which
is
likely
to
appeal
to
trendy
city
dwellers,
you
don't
have
to
worry
about
only
meeting
soy
macchiato
hipsters
here
-
although
you
can
also
have
your
coffee
vegan
here.
The
audience
is
mixed
across
age
groups,
the
mood
is
relaxed
and
calm.
Simply
great
for
relaxed
coffee
drinking.
