He already booked a table on the phone in advance and wanted to get an outside table because of Corona situation. They said they don’t reserve a outside table but spontaneously give it to the guests when they come. Once we arrived there, we saw there was still 1 table outside left. We asked them, even though we made a reservation but we want to take that table. The staff said no, because we are only 2 and the table is for 4. So he refused to give it to us and only gave us an inside table. Then maybe 3-40 minutes later only 3 people group (unfortunate for the restaurant) came and then finally he gave the table to them. We were planning to have a nice evening and of course so up to spend much more on the dishes than we usually spend. But it completely ruined my birthday and i was so disappointed so we didn’t even want to stay there any longer. Unfortunately we just missed the timing to leave immediately so only ordered one main dish. (And was delicious but have to say, quite small portion!) It was very unpleasant experience and i had an impression that the restaurant prioritize only margin and try to squeeze as much as possible. I understand running a biz is really difficult but can’t help myself to think that this restaurant is very stingy and inflexible. Lastly but not least, we as guests were wearing masks but the staff didn’t wear it at all. It was the only restaurant in Kiel i experienced that no staff wore masks. I found this is so double standard attitude! So yes, maybe it is a nice restaurant but i wouldn’t go again.

Only downside is the small portion for the price. For 18.50€ each for the briyani and butter chicken, we felt that it was not sufficient for 2 pax. The food is not authentic indian food it is more german-indian and the onion cheese dosa is not good because it has lot of onions and not indian cheese, cheese in actual indian dosa is panner or cottage cheese. But they put some other cheese. And it has less vegetarian options. Service is good but food I think is modified and not at all authentic.

The food and flavours were good but the service and concepts from a fine dining Indian food pov were completely missing. Waiters and waitresses had to be hunted down to order food and one would be standing up to ask where the washroom was and the waiter would just walk past you. We asked if a certain dish can be served with a bread of our choice instead of rice and they said it's not possible. Then the rice came separately in a bowl, and we were left wondering what about this was not possible. On the first page of the menu, they say how Indian food is all about sharing but then their serving style just doesn't work with sharing. And we had ordered an appetizer which came after the main course only after we reminded them that we had ordered that too. The place has potential but the experience was super disappointing.

I’m a South Indian and I placed an order for dosa here . Take it from me it’s far far from authentic or good . But I enjoyed the service . We were very well greeted and attended to . There is a nice vibe to the place and staff is very considerate. The ambiance is really nice . But it’s not the place for good Indian food . May be the spice levels or the taste is catered to more local Germans and I understand that but it’s not definitely for Indians cravings. The vada pav was a good experiment yet again not even close to the original flavour or taste . Given the prices are higher than usual would only visit the place for a one time experience . Not a go to place .

It really changed my perception of Indian food! Everything is sooo delicious, perfect seasoned and very unique! They also serve breakfast, which is quite different than the typical german breakfast, which would always be my preferred option. My only complaint is the cravings I have afterwards🤤 p.s The brioche bun is homemade, and the best I ever had! Incredibly soft and very buttery.
