This motel has much potential. It just needs management that cares enough to check everything an make sure the employees are doing their jobs. Some examples: There were two outlet covers missing in the breakfast area. They couldn't find the key to unlock the gates to the pool There are 3 gates, only one worked. The cleaning crew needed someone to show they how to really clean a bath tub, there was soap scum evident. The cleaning crew spent more time talking than cleaning. The crew was big enough to clean the rooms twice in an afternoon. I had to wait 15 minutes for the room to be finished cleaning. My Sister had to wait for an hour for their room to be cleaned.

I'll start by saying that this hotel is in a great location, the beds were okay, and I did end up having one employee that was friendly... HOWEVER... My family and I drove 12 hours from Northern Michigan to stay here for country thunder music festival in Bristol TN... When we first arrived at the hotel (4:30pm) I went to receive my room key & check in - the employee told me that my room was not ready. I then had to ask when it would be ready because check in time was 3:00pm and we just sat in the car for 12 hours! Her response was and I quote, "I honestly don't know and I don't even want to give you a time because the room hasn't even been touched." So, my family and I went out to eat. We returned and I went to the front desk again for my room key... A different employee then told me that she had "no idea if my room was ready but there was a 50/50 chance" and gave me my room keys (so we were expected to go up the stairs to our room with all of our luggage and hope that it was done) then she continued to argue with the employee from earlier about if it was done and neither of them had any idea. The bathroom was not clean, but luckily the beds had what appeared to be fresh linens... Before going to our room there were two employees that argued for at least 5 minutes (almost to the point of yelling at each other, one even threatening to walk out) right in front of me, while helping me! The location was great, it was NOT clean, the bathtub/shower was falling apart, and the customer service was not great. If I were to know this ahead of time, (before driving 12 hours here) I would have booked a different hotel sooner. This hotel does have GREAT potential but unfortunately it was a bad experience for us.

For the price range, I was pleasantly surprised by how good this hotel was. The housekeeping ( her name is Andrea ) did a wonderful job! Everyone is friendly. It’s a clean, safe hotel. I would absolutely recommend.

Some of the front desk staff/management are busy-body types. Small town mentalities, pear-shaped ugliness and drama. It's a shi!!y feeling to have paid $2,000 a month for a temp place to live, having a been a quiet, respectful, exemplary guest, only to realize you're an unwitting target of gossip. Some people never grow up. These people are supposed to respect and protect your privacy. They do not. They lost the two best housekeepers they had because of the drama the front desk staff causes, and they are about to lose a good guest along with his $2000 a month.

If I could give them a 0 I would. They called us 30 mins after check in time to tell us we would not be allowed to check in because we were within 60 miles of where I live. I explained that we needed the room for my elderly mother in law who was having a colonoscopy done at 6 am in the morning (so we needed a short ride to the hospital) that didn't matter to them we were still considered local. We ask for the owners name which we were refused. We just want to let them know they are turning down paying customers who couldn't make a long commute after starting their meds..

We arrived very late. In room was warm and the beds are very comfortable! The rooms need to be updated. BIf your looking for a nice affordable hotel for your family this would be a great option. Breakfast was usually american breakfast buffet. 🧇🥓🍳🥯Coffee, tea, bakery ☕️🍪 And in the morning sunrise was amazing 😍!

Arrived at 9pm w/ my husband and two teenage girls. Upon arrival we could see that it was an older facility. Check in was quick and easy. The receptionist was nice. We were placed in rm 167. We gave it a quick once over, it appeared ok. We all came in and went straight to bed. The following am I found the place it be pretty dirty. There was mold on the ceiling over the shower, stuff running down the bathroom wall, the baseboards were missing in places, door jams and corners were caked w/ dirt. Cobwebs in every corner, multiple live spiders in webs over the entryway, vent cover missing from the window unit w/ cat food laying in it. There was something splatted on the ceiling above the night stand.

Booked a room here because my kids school event was nearby. Made the long drive here and they said they are declining my reservation because I live within 60 miles. That was my entire interaction, so cannot comment on anything else. The front desk was not rude or anything like that. Just informed us of their policy and we left. We just booked some where else nearby. With that said they had 5 days to contact us to inform us of this unusual policy and failed to do so. After the fact I did browse the property details and sure enough on about page 13 there was that 60 mile policy. Something that unusual should not be that far down in the fine print.

The general manager was very rude and disrespectful. The only reason we decided to stay after such disrespect is the fact that it was Thanksgiving and everywhere else was booked. I highly don't recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at this location. The rooms were clean and stocked with amenities. The breakfast was great & plentiful. I plan to stay again real soon. 💯

Out dated rooms but they serve their purpose. It could have used some additional cleaning. Breakfast was great, they served breaded chicken breast, biscuits, gravy, scrambled eggs, waffles, cereal for the kids. Fresh coffee. Its located in a good area close to restaurants and a shopping center.

Am I travel nurse I work in Tennessee but because I do not live 60 M past the motel they will not rent me a room seems to me when it comes to a travel nurse they would be more than willing to accommodate I said they would not the lady at the front desk was very rude blowing the whole time I was trying to explain to her that I was pulling double shifts seems to me Tennessee must not need their travel nurses as bad as they say they do

I have my in-laws stay here because the hotel doesn't take in locals. They like to have my kids spend the night while they're here. If you've seen the state of every other hotel around here you will understand why this policy is a must if you don't intend to run a homeless shelter or have cops there all night 6 times a week.

The room was very clean. Even the under sheets. No sign of any kind of bugs. The television selection was not good but I was there to sleep, not to watch TV. The refrigerator was clean also. The microwave turntable didn't fit the microwave so it didn't rotate. Once again, if it had been a longer stay, I would have asked it to be addressed. Tlhe breakfast was decent. The only negative was that there was a plumbing problem where the water pipes behind the shower leaked when the shower in a different room was used. All in all, a very good sleeping room. Highly recommend!

Called on the phone to make a reservation, gave the address and phone number of where I lived. They took my credit card info and set me up for a room for 2 nights. Well when I went to check in they informed me I could not stay at this hotel as I was not 60 miles away. Ok well when I gave you all my info why was I not told then that I couldn’t stay there. I drove all the way up there then had to find another place to rent. The desk clerk was really friendly and I know it wasn’t her fault but Red Rroof in you alls policy really sucks. I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone.

We came for the Bristol Race. For a 2 night stay with a king bed it was almost six hundred dollars. The room was filthy...There was black mold on the wall behind the nightstand and what looked like a used band-aid. UGH. The bathtub stopped up the minute we turned the water. The sheets were clean and the towels were clean but that was about the only things that were clean. The room just felt "sticky and dirty". I could have stayed at a Hilton for the price we paid. I took pictures but unfortunately I can't post them.

Very basic, I found it strange that they don't let people living within 60 miles of the hotel stay there. It didn't affect me personally but I can see where it could be a problem for locals if they had car trouble, a hospital visitation or just felt like staying in a hotel for the night. What an odd policy.

I could nitpick but the truth is my husband and I felt safe, slept well. We didn't have breakfast there every morning but it's ok. The man housekeeper was very nice and kept our room supplied each day with towels, etc. We were there for a week while looking for property to purchase. Very convenient to everything, everywhere.

Pool was nasty. Green, cloudy and foamy. Being filled with garden hose upon checkout. Lobby being renovated and closed to public. Room smelled strongly of bleach, and floor was wet. First icemaker broken with sign (been there a while). Second one in operation. Breakfast served outside, and not kept stocked. Towels almost abrasive. Front desk not there twice to include during checkout hours. Did not respond to phone. Landscaping and grass unkempt/unmowed. Inside door lock didn't work. Also, hard to get to based on location. You'll need Google. I would skip this one until they have a handle on repairs. Disappointing as I made this selection for pool and breakfast along with price.

I only give a three stars because the clerk was super friendly, but it's rather disappointing that my father in law is in the hospital not know if he's going to make it. But because we live 53 miles from here we couldn't rent a room at 1am. So if you have local family in the hospital this isn't the place.

No-frills, but clean and affordable. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Breakfast provided.

After reading reviews that mentioned issues because of living locally, I called the office to verify and that is correct! I was told they have a strict policy of not renting to anyone that lives within a 60 mile radius!! Ridiculous!!

The beds are very comfortable! The rooms need to be updated but all in all it was a great stay and would stay here again. If your looking for a nice affordable hotel for your family this would be a great option.

Very friendly staff, clean, oder free rooms, comfortable beds. It's all that more- affordable and pet friendly too. The front desk lady had to come out to our room shortly after check in; apparently the last guest decided to take a couple of the light bulbs. She was very prompt, delightful when she came in to replace the bulbs. She was very helpful in sharing I information about Kingsport! Definitely would stay here again- super friendly, super affordable and they love your pup dogs!

Good location and clean hotel. The room I was in could use a little bit of detail work. But overall it was good. Breakfast in the morning was good.

Rooms were clean, and modern looking. Close to shopping malls and restaurants. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Self serve breakfast had a variety of options to choose from, and was fully stocked. Coffee was just... okay.
