We had Family dinner here at the Palate Restaurant and the service was excellent👌 Our Server Ventrice was pleasant, knowledgeable and polite There was a some mix up with the meal order which could have resulted in staggering of the meal serving, however Dwayne apologized and promised to have the meal served together and it did. All orders arrived at the same time. The pepper pot soup was divine 😋, crab cakes and Caesar Salad were scrumptious too and served as our appetizers. Main course consisted of lamb rack, salmon, curry coconut shrimp and chicken breast served with cream potato and vegetables. All were delectable. White and red wine, whiskey sour, red stripe, lemonade and strawberry daiquiri completed the meal. Dwayne was a charm and managed damage control pleasantly. The ambiance is lovely and lovers of art will have their eyes feted at the beautiful pieces....I did. The only sour point was the restrooms; they were messy, out of toilet paper, lights were way too dim and did not smell fresh. This was a stark contrast to the spotless presentation of the other areas of the hotel. Admittedly, I'm not a fan of downtown and do not know my way around there well, however the hotel is worth checking out. Recommended👍🏽

It was a pleasure being able to visit this hotel in its opening week. The staff were warm helpful and answered all questions. Meals were presented in a timely manner and were tasty. The pool area and bar is very relaxing and lovely place to relax. The local art is lovely and added that Jamaican touch. It was indeed a pleasure and I look forward to the opening of the Cafe and coming back.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the ROK Hotel in downtown Kingston, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped foot into the hotel, I was greeted with warm Jamaican hospitality and a sense of luxury that permeated throughout my entire stay. One of the standout features of the ROK Hotel is its convenient location. Situated in the heart of downtown Kingston, it offers easy access to all the major attractions and business centers in the city. Whether you're a tourist looking to explore the vibrant culture of Jamaica or a business traveler attending meetings, this hotel is perfectly situated for both. The views from the hotel are simply breathtaking. As I looked out from my room, I was treated to panoramic vistas of the city skyline and the sparkling Caribbean Sea. It was a sight that truly captured the essence of Kingston and made my stay even more memorable. The food at the ROK Hotel is a culinary delight. The on-site restaurant offers a wide range of Jamaican and international dishes, all prepared with the freshest ingredients. From traditional Jamaican jerk chicken to mouthwatering seafood platters, every meal was a treat for my taste buds. The chefs at the ROK Hotel truly know how to create a memorable dining experience. The pool area at the ROK Hotel is a true oasis. Surrounded by lush tropical gardens, it provides the perfect setting to relax and unwind. Whether you want to take a refreshing dip in the pool or simply lounge by the

I came to Kingston Jamaica for a funeral. I didn’t make reservations beforehand, we just had the taxi driver take us to the nicest hotel in town. He told us that the Hilton was new and it was nice. we said OK. We had the worst time there. It took over two hours for them to check us in. The first room they gave us someone was already occupying it, the poor lady screamed and I slam the door back. The second room was unfinished, there was no shower door or shower curtains or anything. So they gave us a third room. I will definitely suggest you sleep with your doors locked with the security latch up, while they’re figuring out the new system. I guess they don’t know how to book rooms properly . The customer service at the bar by the pool was lackluster. You damn near have to get your own drinks, they take a long time to come to you after you seat yourself. Besides the view it’s not much else that was good about my stay. I wouldn’t say anybody was rude. They just didn’t know what they’re doing.

The hotel is new so there are some kinks that needs to be worked out, however, the design and ambience is different, love it and The artwork is great thru out the hotel. Come and experience it for yourself. It is a nice addition to the downtown area and a nice beginning to the Renaissance of downtown Kingston. Great lay over hotel. Close to the airport.

If you're looking for a great location for date night, or celebratory moments with friends, colleagues etc, then go Palate, this is one of the more upscale fine dining restaurant. The interior design provided a luxurious, unique experience,  I loved the lighting it wasn't too bright. However, when it was time to take pics of the food, I started to reconsider. Our server was friendly and pleasant she was very helpful and she gave me honest feedback, I appreciated that. Now the food, ahhhh, I ordered Harbor seafood cake it had fish and crab and some other tasty elements to it. Simply amazing 🦀🐠👌, it was crunchy, tasty it reminded me of the beach the rice cracker had the illusion of seashell, I thought it was nice touch. This was followed by next course Curry-Rubbed Lamb Chopped without the curry, all I can say is Yummy!🍛👌 This was seasoned perfectly to my liking, it was not over cooked, or dry, it was so moist and tender, it make you just want more. I had the side of garlic mashed potatoes, this delightful, it wasn't so garlicky and the garlic was more subtle to me, again the chef was on point with his/her seasoning, I love it. Oh, how could I forget the crunchy veggies 😊 hmmm. I ordered a bottle of champagne, my friend was celebrating her birthday and the staff did a stepping dance and cheer for her. I was surprised even the manager came out to greet us. I had a wonderful night and yes, I will go back again. Before I go, the food prices wasn't bad but it's in US dollars though. However, the beverages😭 (champagne, wine etc) 😥 it can be a little heavy on the pocket 🥂🤣. Overall it's a thumb up for me👍🍾

ROK Restaurant is a culinary gem that demands your attention on the map. Even without staying at the hotel, I was treated to a remarkable dining experience. The food was simply amazing, and the attentive service elevated the meal. The stylish ambience adds to the charm of the place. Don't miss ROK Restaurant on your map; it's a must-visit for food enthusiasts.

It's a really nice hotel and the location has a great view overlooking the ocean. You have a very beautiful sunrise in the mornings and can watch the planes take off from NMI airport in far the distance. Across from the hotel is the famous Gloria's restaurant and a Devon House ice cream among other businesses. The waterfront is very attractively developed and usually full of activity. The street was very busy with much activity late Saturday night into the early morning Service was excellent, the front desk staff were amazing and Morgan was outstanding., - food was overpriced (as usual) presentation was average and I was not impressed the overall food. Nothing that I'd wanted seconds, (the stout-braised beef was good) Loved the pineapple mimosa; - the room was big and decorated modernly with black and white furniture and fittings. Although my stay was short I'll be back on my next vacation

Stayed at the hotel for 5 days. Food was okay. The only things we enjoyed was the wings and salt fish poppers. Burgers are not good. I tried the snapper burger 😩 not good at all. I picked on it but could not do it. I also tried the sliders i gave them away. The snapper had a vinegar taste. Breakfast was okay. Nothing I would crave. Drinks are good. The wait staff does not check on you to see if you need anything else. Especially if you are sitting by the pool. Oh and the music is horrible. They played sad depressing music. We tried to ask to switch or if they can do a mix with some up beat music since we ARE ON VACATION. The manager Michelle walked us over to the dj to request some up beat music and he immediately declined and was very RUDE about it. I would not recommend this place for a good time. If you need a place to stay it’s okay clean close to the airport. Front desk staff was great! And the cleaning crew. But the experience was a downer for vacation. I again.

This is our new favorite hotel in Kingston. Forget the location if you are one who prefers great service, great food and clean amenities. The staff in the restaurant were highly professional and knowledgeable about their wines and pairing with the food which made our dining experience change our hotel from the newly built AC hotel to the Rok hotel. They have concierge, valet parking and bell men which i found to be very rare to find in other hotels including the new AC hotel. The room was impeccable except for missing 1 robe and morning slippers, and the bar area had a beautiful ambience and very happy and attentive staff.

The staff try their best but it seems they lack systems and procedures. The food was below average, the rooms really nice but dark, the cafe is dull and while the pool area was great, it was incredibly windy. Breakfast was terrible and almost inedible.

I stayed for one night, I was not sure what my experience was going to be like. From my arrival I met a young man that was doing the parking I think is name is (Ricardo), he was very professional, informative and welcoming. The receptionist came across well trained and professional too. The hotel is very well decorated and layout flows well. Room was really nice and well kept. The overall experience was great but at breakfast the restaurant manager was so professional and well spoken (Jody) and sorted out a minor issue that transpired. She was truly a representative of a great hotel.

I booked this hotel for my birthday stay. This was my first time staying at this hotel. I love the ambiance, the staff are top notch, from front desk to dining to house keeping. The food is top notch too. My only issue is the parking arrangement. I would definatly recommend this hotel for corporate guest or family and I am definately going back.

Came here for a church service in one of the meeting rooms. The room was nice enough for a good service. We were right by where the bar is located, so we heard all of the loud partying from that. They do have really good guava wings, yummy brownie/ice cream and a gorgeous view at/from that bar though. The staff was really nice and friendly which is always a plus. Other than the loud music and screaming, we had a great time.

The ROK Tapestry by Hilton staff were kind, knowledgeable, and helpful individually and collectively. When one was unsure about a question I had, they didn't hesitate to seek assistance from another co-worker and even phoned a friend. They wanted to make sure I didn't wait my time or money venturing to a place that may have been closed or out of commission. The breakfast buffet was tasty and the overall atmosphere was delightful. I was greeted with smiles and pleasantries the entire stay. I will definitely return and I have recommended this hotel to a friend who will arrive in two weeks.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the ROK hotel by Hilton and I must say that Dominique truly made our check-in process a breeze and gave us a warm and friendly welcome. From the moment we stepped foot into the hotel, Dominique's attentiveness and professionalism stood out. As soon as we approached the front desk, Dominique greeted us with a genuine smile and made us feel immediately at ease. Her knowledge of the hotel was impressive, effortlessly guiding us through the check-in procedure and answering any questions we had about the amenities or nearby attractions. Not only did Dominique provide us with all the necessary information, but she also took the initiative to go above and beyond. She offered suggestions for local restaurants , which proved to be extremely helpful during our stay. Throughout our time at the hotel, Dominique consistently demonstrated a genuine interest in ensuring our comfort and satisfaction. It was evident that they truly cared about delivering a fantastic experience for their guests. The ROK hotel itself was also exceptional. The room was stylish, clean, and well-appointed, providing all the comforts one could ask for. The hotel's location was fantastic, in close proximity to various attractions and dining options, making it a great choice for both leisure and business travelers. Overall, I can confidently say that Dominique and the ROK hotel by Hilton exceeded our expectations. Their exceptional service, attention to detail, and genuine care for their guests make them stand out amongst the competition. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a seamless and enjoyable stay.

The experience of staying at this delightful hotel was truly exceptional. My family and I spent two nights to celebrate my sister's birthday, and it was a remarkable time. The level of enjoyment was abundant, and the service received from the amiable receptionist during the check-in process was remarkable. I was astounded by the level of service provided throughout our stay, which made our time at the hotel even more memorable. The entire staff was incredibly accommodating, and their hospitality was truly impressive. I sincerely hope to have the opportunity to visit this remarkable hotel again in the future. Once again, I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the unforgettable experience we had during our stay.

I recently visited The ROK Hotel: Palate, and was impressed with the amazing decor, which combined modern and rustic elements. The customer service was excellent. As for the food, the medium well lamb had an acquired taste, but the chicken was great and very flavourful. The beef was also delicious, and the salmon was the best - it was both flavorful and juicy. The only downsides were the lack of onsite parking, the expensive price per meal and drinks, and the small serving sizes. Photos will be uploaded after.

I only had drinks, but I've heard that their food is delicious. The drinks were punchy and appealed to taste. I had a Whisky Sour—lovely blend of sweet and sour (no this isn't chicken) and money's worth of whiskey. The price of the drinks were what I'd expect with it being a brand-new hotel and all. 8.5/10 worth the experience.

Stayed from 19th October 2022 to 21st October 2022. The room was good . The check in and check out staff at the front desk, were very good. The house keeping staff, were courteous and smiling. The breakfast was a disaster . Do not done or order anything at this hotel if you wish to keep your stay pleasant. There is or I was told..no delivery of food to the room.you need to order it ..then go pick it up yourself. Which sounds like a motel Then the service which is the breakfast was terrible. The staff do not understand the meaning of I want sausages and bacon for breakfast.i was asked to please take any one. I insisted that I wish to have both for breakfast, but was eventually served just one. It's like prison .I had to go out and eat something of my choice.. because the staff were very difficult at the breakfast. So stay here. But don't order or eat anything. I'm posting a photo of the staff at the breakfast.

My parents and I stayed in Room 503 from November 24-27, 2023. The hotel is ideally situated next to the Jamaica conference center and across from the ocean seawall. One could see the Norman Manley airport in the distance, but there was no plane (or street) noise from our room. Parking is located in an adjacent parking garage with plenty of open spaces on the ground floor (Discounted parking is not included in the hotel price. There is extensive security 24/7). The hotel is a refurbished Oceana, now with Hilton Honors with guest rooms on the lower level and apartment residences at the top. Delta airlines has their staff stay here. We ate breakfast at the Palate restaurant for all 3 days (Ala Carte $14-15; buffet $26/pp). Dinner was a higher end affair, ideal for date night or group gathering. The food was delicious, and customer service was respectful and professional. Across the street is a food court (pizza, Devon House ice cream, local food/cake), and nightclub/bar. The room was clean, and housekeeping stopped by every day. Room 503 has a partial ocean/city view. I recommend this location and will stay here in the future.

I’ve stayed at this hotel twice. Each visit the service was exceptional. Very attentive, professional, and helpful staff. Rooms were pristine both times I stayed, and very comfortable. The hotel is about 20-25 minutes from the airport and 15-20 minutes from most of the restaurants we visited while in Kingston. My most recent visit, we were kindly given a free upgrade to a beautiful room with a stunning view of the Harbor. We had dinner at Palate, located on the 2nd floor, and it was also a great experience. I reviewed that separately if you’re interested. Highly recommend staying here!

Kingston's Newest GEM is now ready to be experienced. An old location completely redefined, renovated and renamed the ROK Hotel Kingston, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. I thoroughly enjoyed my time spent there. From the Valet Parking upon my arrival to my final checkout was truly a world class experience, fit for a King and His Queen. Come and experience your own memorable moments, filled with the exquisite taste of authentic Jamaica Dishes and International Cuisine.

The hotel is nicely decorated. The pool area is nicely done as well, bar and grill. The view is awesome..i would have preferred a different tile for the pool tho. The staff is friendly the food is ok and the rooms are fine too. The waterfront is a great relaxing ,cool location. Very close to the commercial district of downtown kingston.

Whew chiiilllleeeee! Let’s get into it! The place is absolutely breathtaking; very picturesque. I was sold the minute I arrived. The security staff was so lovely! Now would be a great time to tell you, they have parking (valet included) at an additional cost. We entered the place and again, simply beautiful! Headed up to the restaurant, where we dined inside at the Palate. They do, however, have an outdoor dining option called Rokstone. Everywhere was just beautiful. Our starter meals weren’t the best but the main course got a 10/10. Our server was also lovely. In fact, the service is amazing. Every one was so lovely. I’m definitely going back and 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

I had a reservation for the Rokstone Pool bar and grill. I was greeted well from the outside we met a man who directed us to another person on the inside and he took us upstairs to the designated area which is great. We didn't know where we were going so to be guided was great. When we got to the area the ambience was great it has a great view and we were  presented to a person at the bar I assumed was the manager or head waiter. After being seated we were neglected for 5 minutes no menu until I got up to ask. They assumed someone was tending to my table when noone was in the end we went inside to the Dining area named Palate and it was a much better experience. Christine was great and attentive and it made up for the neglect outside. I highly recommend the inside dinning and after speaking with the hostess downstairs I do believe that the outdoor dining will be much better in the future.

The ROK boasts a sleek, modern design and a pristine atmosphere that sets it apart in downtown Kingston. It's a versatile space, perfect for both a romantic rendezvous or a professional business meeting. The ambient lighting sets the mood just right, complemented by a melodic soundtrack that elevates the experience. The service staff are not only proficient but also exceedingly courteous and amiable. I wouldn't hesitate to revisit and wholeheartedly recommend it to others.

"I recently stayed at the ROK Hotel and must say, I was extremely impressed with my experience. The hotel staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment I entered the hotel griunds. The lobby was inviting and the check-in process was smooth and efficient. My guest room was spacious and well-maintained with modern amenities such as free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. The beds were very comfortable, and I had a great night's sleep each night of my stay. The bathroom was clean and fully stocked with complementary toiletries. The hotel restaurant offered a wide range of excellent dishes and the breakfast buffet had a great variety of options to choose from. Overall, the ROK hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for comfort and luxury during their stay." I hope however, that there will be a connection between the car park and the hotel for our safety and privacy. Excellent place to be overall.

We visited the Palate restaurant, the decor throughout was quite alluring, we had to stop and snap a few pictures. On entering the restaurant we were welcomed and promptly taken to our table. Wait service was excellent, our order was taken and we continued to enjoy the ambiance until the food was served. Generous portions of both the appetizer and entree, there was no space in our tummies for dessert. I plan to return 👍🏾

Meh, it was OK. You're paying for the name & that's about it. The Deluxe rooms are quite small, terrible lighting, & phone/TV were out for 3 days. The front desk woman who checked us in upon arrival was great, really friendly and their only saving grace. The food was terrible and way overpriced. They don't tell you that you have to pay $10/day to park in their garage. The pool closes at 7pm, so if you want an evening dip, forget about it. Not kid friendly at all. We had breakfast at the small Cafe and they would charge me one price but if my husband came in, would charge differently - pretty sure they were disappointed when they realized he is Jamaican & wasn't going to be fooled. I would say overall, not worth the price.

Our ROK experience was great. We were greeted by name by all employees we came in contact with. They were attentive. It was a short trip, we live in Jamaica and was a little skeptic about staying Downtown, however, there was no concern once we drove up. It was safe. It was quite. The weather was beautiful for a pool day. We bought a day pass special so we had unlimited rum punch (really good) and lunch.... ooooh so good. We had date night at the Palate... very romantic setting I was expecting a little bit more entertainment from the staff (the usual hotel shenanigans), but it was a relaxing change.

Looking for a week day chill....best believe I found one of the best spots for just that. Nestled under the stars right on the waterfront, this is a must-go for locals and visitors alike. While my visit was specifically for drinks and food, I could not help but take notice of the ecletic yet tasteful decor and pleasant and engaging staff. From the security on the outside to our amazing waitress Terry by the pool. The drinks were amazing and you get value (aka quantity and quality) for your dollar. The food was delightful and the service, excellent. Definitely recommend!

This was my first visit to Kingston. I am from the United States and my experience was great. Customer service is their focus and they nailed it! The ladies at the front desk were very kind and hospitable. I felt very safe with security on point all the time I loved the grill and the restaurant. The pool view of the harbor was exhilarating. My bartender Ricardo made the best Sangria I've had in Jamaica. The driver I had for local run was knowledgeable and courteous. I booked an excursion with the concierge with ease. Chaven took me on the Bob Marley tour and was prompt, stayed with me until I went with the group and was there when I came out. He was absolutely the best! I am a travel agent and I can assure that I will recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to stay in Kingston.

The staff at the hotel are so attentive and kind. They try their best to accommodate any preferences which was so appreciated at breakfast! Smiles are given often and freely. It's really nice when people ask you honestly how your stay is going and really want to know what they can do to fix any issues. Not the hotels fault but, the area across the street seemed to have an unsafe feel by the water and not pleasant smell. There is a restaurant and roof area bar area across as well that that seemed nice though.

First, let start by saying ROK employees people who enjoy serving others. The experience I had while in Jamaica and specifically the ROK was amazing the pool, exercising room, access to computers and walking distance to clubs was perfect. The best thing about R.O.K. is the view of the ocean from across the street.

Beautiful place, I enjoyed my stay. Very clean and modern. The food isn’t consistent. The jerk pork was fantastic, really liked the burger. The server Yuawna I believe her name is, was very customer oriented and professional. Dominique at the front desk was amazing as well. I didn’t like that I had to call the front desk for water. Was there for 2 nights and was only given 2 very small bottles of water for a room that had 2 persons. Overall an ok experience. I could go back for drinks.

I went for an engagement party by the pool deck. One of the most chill places I've been this year. The staff is friendly and efficient, the ambiance is amazing, the view of the airport and harbor at night make it 10x better, the food and drinks are good and even though their prices are quoted in USD, drinks are pretty affordable. Definitely recommend.

Enjoyed my stay here, staff all-round were friendly and made affect. Breakfast was nice with good quality food and drinks. somewhat limited in the buffet area if your a veg/vegan but chef was happy to make various dishes like omelettes, full english etc… I do think the self service parking needs work… The security guards found it difficult to separate out hotel guests and local users. the piece of paper they gave kinda dragged things. Lastly the main reason i gave it a 4 stars is the lack of common space. They really need to have a business lounge here to relax outside of the rooms. the restaurant and bar area kinda feels too commercial and not a place to sit back or work. there a big external office near the bar area that could be a good candidate. Since downtown doesn’t have much activities it would be a big plus…

Beautiful decor and space once you enter. The staff and security guards are polite and will assist where necessary. I must say the food was okay, as well as the prices. The wait staff was very courteous and knowledgeable about the food and what choices would be the best pick on the menu. The scenery considering it overlooks the harbour was beautiful and relaxing.

Stayed at ROK hotel a couple weeks ago and I must say I was really impressed with the European style decor. My room was chic and spacious and the staff was really polite. I also took advantage of their breakfast menu and I AM OBSESSED with the breakfast rolls I was told was made by pastry chef Courtney Haughton. I’ll definitely be coming back!!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for Christmas. It is very nice and clean. My review is truly about the service I received from Tracy at the front desk. Tracy proved to me that there are still people who want to provide exceptional service. As I started checking in her smile, professional and friendly personality stood out. She provided amazing service during the entire stay. She was very detailed about the restaurants on the property and also gave me great meal recommendations which I tried and was delicious. Although my review is almost a month later she left such a positive impression on me I must take time out of my busy schedule to say THANK YOU Tracy for making my Christmas in Jamaica the best. Thank you Hilton for having such a wonderful person on your staff. I can confidently say anytime I’m in Jamaica Kingston this hotel will be my First and ONLY choice. Big up Tracy. You’re a beautiful person with the right attitude and remedy of treating people the right way.
