We had issues with another reservation, and were happy that there were rooms available for our family here. We thought the location would be great since it was so close to everything. While it is not the hotel's fault, I ended up having a very bad night's sleep due to the excessive noise outside. However, we really enjoyed the breakfast. I think this would be a great place for individuals wanting to be close to the action.

While the location is perfect re activities, it is very noisy at night. The room was spacious but the bed was old and hammock like and not fresh even though the bed linen was perfectly clean. The breakfast was excellent along with the service.

This is my second time in Kinsale, I was here in April and stayed elsewhere. Back again for two nights and the original accommodation I booked totally messed up. Therefore they booked me into the White House, I'd call it the luck of the Irish, The White House is exceptional, a wonderful team, brilliant Room, and an epic breakfast.. location is perfect and if you're driving you can park right behind the hotel there is plenty of free parking. Upon my next visit to Kinsale The White House will be top of my list. Michael and the team are quite simply first class. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (6 stars)

We just spent 8 days in Ireland, and had one of the best meals of our trip here. My husband and I stopped for dinner, and rather than order entrees, we chose an assortment of starters and sides. My husband had the maple wings and they were really good. I had the seafood chowder and it was delish. The brown bread that accompanied it was extra good! We split a salad and also potatoes (crispy potatoes?) and they were amazing! The setting was wonderful, and the service very good. Highly recommend the White House!

All four of us had an excellent meal with really good food and friendly service. However I didn't expect the steak to come with just mushrooms and nothing else so I waited a while thinking a plate of veg was on the way. When it didn't arrive I asked if it was coming. I was told that my original server should have made sure that I understood that the steak just came with mushrooms. No offer of anything else. Disappointing

I spent a few days in Kinsale for a pottery course and found myself in the foodie capital of Ireland! I wandered into the White House one evening and never wanted to leave. I enjoyed amazing food, great service, lovely drinks, and one of the best gluten-free chocolate desserts ever. A great place to dine, and pay attention to the bits of local history sprinkled throughout!

Excellent hotel and restaurant.Great rooms comfortable and spacious. The restaurant is first class.The food excellent particularly for seafood. The bar has a pleasant ambiance serves cocktails, even white Russians if you ask for the same.

Stopped in for lunch, during a short stop on our tour. There were 11 of us, and while they were quite busy, they set up tables for us in a back area. There service was quick, efficient, and attentive. The food was good as everyone enjoyed the lunch. Thanks to the staff for working with us.

We ate in bistro side after being moved form the bar.....hence not 5 star. Great food and fast service. draft beer was excellent and the attention to detail re wine service was Ace

I was very disappointed with our evening in the White House, there is a nice atmosphere on arrival and the bistro is warm and welcoming, 3 stars for that. However the food was poor and overpriced. I had fish and chips, thrown on the plate with a tablespoon of mushy peas and some random watery pink sauce, neither tartar nor ketchup, served in something like egg cups. The fish was watery and completely tasteless, in a fishing town that's takes skill, €20 for this. A starter of 3 small cubes of rubbery pork belly for €13, devoid of flavour. The other meal was a burger, and a hummus starter, meh at €20 and €11. There was no bread on the table, I had to ask for a side plate and a jug of water. Standards have really slipped here and cost cutting is evident. With a drink each the bill was just shy of €80 and I left feeling frankly ripped off. Did I complain, no, our waitress was just a teenager and not her fault. I won't be back.

Staff are wonderful to deal with, very friendly! The food is fantastic & the brownie was divine.

We had breakfast here once and was absolutely beautiful, and well priced , we returned a month later for lunch , was not disappointed, friendly staff , great atmosphere, will be back again .
