My pup LOVES running into Dogtopia and being greeted by the friendly staff. He loves playing with all the pups, educated trainers and we look forward to their published monthly calendar packed full of fun activities. There is piece of mind for dog parents missing their fur family members with the nest camera which enables us to spy on them during the day! I also received check up calls my dogs first few visits - which gave me comfort and happiness sending my pup here. We have - and will continue to recommend Dogtopia as the place to send your fur baby for their daycare and spa needs!

This is THE place to take your dog!! They offer so many great services, and every staff member I've met has been incredibly friendly to me and my dog, and it's obvious that they LOVE dogs. My pup Layla is a bit shy, but she's opening up more and more when she goes to daycare. Dogtopia is a great place to socialize your pet, especially if you're working and they would otherwise be home alone. I have been taking Layla here for about 1.5 months, and each time I pick up a tired and happy pup. The webcams offer a chance for me to watch how she interacts with other dogs throughout the day. I'm super happy with the staff's knowledge of how dogs interact, and I love the ample communication between staff and pet parent. Thanks to all the wonderful staff for helping my girl come out of her shell :)

I have been taking my puppy here for their puppy pre-school and it’s been so nice having Jo go to a safe space where she can socialize and work on some desensitization too! The staff I interacted with were very attentive and I could tell they really cared about my pup. I will definitely be using the daycare service in the future. Thank you!

I just don't quite understand why is there a need of re-evaluation (which we have to pay) just to get our puppy scheduled for daycare. They've already passed the first evaluation and had our puppy in there for 3 times. Sure, my pup hasn't been in Dogtopia for a couple of months but they've been at other daycares. They were fine just like the first 3 visits we had at Dogtopia. Just doesn't make sense to us the need of re-evaluation. Looks like a money grab.

I've been hesitant to write a review for several reasons but feel as if others deserve to know my experience with Dogtopia of Kitchener. I debated between 2 and 3 stars for a bit, but ultimately settled on 2. I fully believe in honest and transparent reviews. Dogtopia of Kitchener is not the worst thing ever. Me and my girl Daisy enjoyed going here for almost a year, and never really had any issues. Daisy was always excited to attend daycare, and would pull me to their door all the way from the car. Being able to watch her on the cameras has always brought me at ease, and for that is why I am giving them more than 1 star in my review. However, one day I noticed a coach abusing dogs while I was watching on the cameras. I saw this person yank dogs on the slip lead which is incredibly damaging to the necks, as well as can cause dogs to become gear shy. I witnessed this person banging bowls to scare dogs, pulling a laying dog up by a slip lead, and forcing dogs into crates for no reason but what I can assume to dominate them. This person was evidently taking their frustration out on the dogs and that's far from acceptable. Dogtopia of Kitchener chose to keep this person hired with the intention of providing them further training. To some this is okay, but personally, I feel as if it isn't enough for several reasons. I feel like the quality of care that the dogs are receiving versus the cost that the public is paying is not comparable. After tax, the visits come out to being $54 for a full day of daycare for one dog on a weekday. Previously they offered packs that you could prepay 5 or 10 days and it was discounted, but has since phased that out and only apply it to dogs who are enrolled weekly. This is a lot for most busy families who just want an occasional outlet for their social dog. I have decided to take my dog elsewhere for daycare services and I'm happy with the care she's receiving at a new location. Personally, I didn't want to take the risk of witnessing dogs being abused again, and especially not for the price of $54. Whether or not you'd like to continue using Dogtopia of Kitchener is up to you. This was one incident and I never witnessed these actions being done by other employees. I'm sad that a great daycare was ruined by the actions of one employee, but it was enough to make me no longer trust this location again.

Our dog, Freya, has been going regularly to daycare at Dogtopia for about 1.5 years now. The staff are kind and attentive to Freya, and she's always tired after a full day at daycare!

Loved the experience and so did my 4 month old pup. It's an INDOOR daycare so would be ideal for the winters. Everyone is very attentive and approachable. Very prompt in their responses to any queries whether in person or online. The registration process was smooth too.

Dogtopia is an awesome doggy daycare. It's easy to book through the app, the staff are friendly, I love the option to watch my dog on the webcams, and my dog absolutely LOVES it! They treat the dogs well and put effort into making dogs feel comfortable there.

The incredibly professional and friendly staff are my favourite part of the Dogtopia experience. As a first time dog owner, I love how happy Bookie comes home after spending a day at Dogtopia with her pals!

From Day1, have been super impressed with the staff and facilities! They genuinely love the pups and dogs that come for a day of fun! Always hosting a variety of β€œspecial” days and events that make my dog β€œwanting more”!

We enrolled our high-energy Aussie/Shar-pei mix, a lively CoVID puppy, at Dogtopia in the hopes of providing her with a positive outlet for her boundless energy. Little did we know that this decision would turn out to be a game-changer for our furry friend. Before Dogtopia, our pup's exuberance found expression in not-so-positive ways. We were seeking a solution to keep her occupied during the day and help her channel her energy constructively. From the moment she stepped paw into Dogtopia, it became evident that this place was so much more than just a daycare center for her – it was a transformative experience. Our sheepdog needed a job, and Dogtopia became exactly that for her. Far beyond a mere daycare, it became her mission, a place where she found purpose and joy. The transformation in her has been remarkable. She's not only come out of her shell but has also made an abundance of furry friends, fostering a sense of camaraderie and playfulness. What's truly heartwarming is witnessing her discover new activities like climbing and navigating through tunnels, activities perfectly tailored to her instincts and breed. As a sheepdog, she thrives on having a purpose, and at Dogtopia, her job is clear – making friends and "helping" the canine coach, which brings her immense happiness. The team at Dogtopia has played a crucial role in nurturing her newfound sense of purpose and joy. They go above and beyond to ensure a safe, stimulating environment, tailored to each dog's needs. The genuine care and attention provided have not only positively impacted our pup's behaviour but have also contributed significantly to her overall well-being.

We have experienced a great deal of disappointment with the service provided by Dogtopia. Our dog, Romeo, occasionally visits their facility, and on our most recent visit, he was injured once again. This marks the third unfortunate incident, with two occasions where his paw pad was injured, and another where his foot was heavily soiled. While we understand that accidents can occur, the repetition of these incidents is concerning. Despite their claims of doing everything in their power, the responsibility seems to be shifted onto us. The recurrence of these distressing events suggests a lack of efficacy in their care procedures. It appears that the root cause may be an overload for the staff to adequately oversee the numerous dogs present. We entrust our pet's safety and well-being to their care, and unfortunately, this was not upheld. Due to these concerning incidents that we have experienced, we will not be bringing our dog to Dogtopia anymore.

I have worked here before so I know the ins and outs. Great staff, diligent. Hoping they can engage my pup so she becomes less reactive, shy and participates in group play/ becomes more confident!

The team in downtown Kitchener were fabulous. I've watched my dog grow from a scared, shy puppy into a social butterfly. Everyone there treats her as if she was their own dog. It's nice having her in a place knowing she's safe, loved, and having fun!

My dog loves all your people and she's always so happy to arrive for a daycare day. It's nice to have the option for her to be indoors when it's hot and humid or cold and wet. Plus there's always fun events for her to participate in.

Everyone is so great and helpful! I like that they have different rooms depending on the size and activity level of your dog. Being able to check in and see your dog on the Webcam is really nice and reassuring. The trainers do a great job of monitoring the dogs and keeping them engaged in different games and activities. Loved the doggo bubble machine!

All the staff were so welcoming upon arrival. They explain the whole approval process to you for the complimentary meet-and-greet, and they even give you a call half-way through the day to let you know how your dog is doing. I love that I can log into my account and watch a live feed of the room at any time (the toy room had some difficulties loading and stalling in the video, but that is an IT issue). They answered all of my questions, and in the end my dog had an amazing first day!

It's a great place for my puppy to enjoy play with others in a safe environment. It was really fun being able to watch the puppy on camera all throughout the day. The staff was very knowledgeable and was great at keeping the dogs under control, preventing over excitement. The dogs are all very friendly and I had no reason to worry about my puppy getting hurt.

Fantastic humans taking great care of the dogs. Our pooch is happy coming and going, has developed social awareness. (The 5th star is only missing because there is no outdoor space. Still highly recommend.)

We love Dogtopia! They have been so amazing with our dog Moose who has been attending since mid-march. He is really starting to open up with the staff there and is so excited to go and see them and his friends. It is great being able to watch him on the webcams and interact with the staff and other dogs. We have also had him groomed there and Vicki is amazing, she helped to give us tips on grooming and keeping his coat at home. Would recommend everyone to take their dog(s) here to Dogtopia. Your team is doing an amazing job and it is so easy to see the care they have for the dogs. 🧑

Our dog really loved their first day there. The staff were very kind and supportive, as well as knowledgeable. I love that I can use the app to arrange appointments and to use the web cam. We are going to continue using Dogtopia as our doggy day care.

My dogs just went for their introductory/temperament test, and I was beyond impressed. They took the time to explain what they looked for in my dogs' temperament and how they were doing. I even got a call midday to update me on their day as well as a picture. We have moved around a lot, and so we have tried several different boarding/doggy daycare facilities. This has been the absolute best place we've ever been to. I could tell the staff had received extensive training and knew what they were doing. It's always hard for me to leave my dogs, especially someplace new, but I felt very comfortable leaving them at Dogtopia knowing they would be well cared for.

Took our rescued Mastador here, to help him socialize and gain confidence. Gave them some of his (horrible) history and they have gone above and beyond with him... the 'coaches' are all amazing, and while he still won't actually play he comfortably interacts with them and the other dogs. The general staff are available, knowledgeable and helpful.... the price is reasonable, and Gunther comes home contented and tuckered. I check in on the Webcam frequently and appreciate the opportunity to watch him from afar.

Dogtopia takes great care of my dog, Bowie. We’ve been taking him weekly since he was a puppy and he always has the best time. The staff remember my dog by name and my dog loves them so much that he’s already excited on the drive there. Their webcams are great for checking in during the day. Definitely recommend!

The folks at Dogtopia have been so fantastic with my pup! She has bad separation anxiety, and was terrified to stay somewhere without me. The first few weeks were rough for the both of us, but thankfully I was always able to keep an eye on her via the webcams. The staff did everything they could to keep her comfortable and relaxed, including moving her to a room with smaller dogs who she felt more confident around. She has now been attending daycare for almost a month, and it's been so great to see how her confidence has blossomed. She is so excited to spend time with her friends, running around the playroom and interacting with the staff. The employees are always great, supportive, and understanding, and recognized my pup by name in no time! Thank you for being trustworthy, kind, and caring!

My dog Melly absolutely loves every day at Dogtopia! The staff are so kind and welcoming, they have separate rooms for the small and big dogs which helps Melly feel more comfortable since she's small, and I love watching her play with her friends on the webcams! The staff really seem like they care about each individual dog, they always get excited to see her and she loves all of them. Overall an amazing daycare experience!

I took my dog for daycare a bunch of times and boarding for a few nights this summer but I stopped. This place is extremely overpriced and overhyped. They favour recurrent and high-tipper customers, while other customers are second class to them. Their business model is to be this "premium" daycare in downtown and get high paying instagram customers, but their services are far from premium. Beware: if your dog is not perfectly well behaved, dogtopia is not prepared to handle any slight behaviour challenge. They called me in the middle of my trip to pick up my dog because he was over-excited. Really? Any experienced, bonded and insured sitter is prepared to deal with that, especially if it's a one-timer, which makes Dogtopia no different than your typical inexperienced hobby-sitter from Rover. A friend of mine got a similar experience because her dog was pulling too much. Also, dogs can get sick like any other kennel as seen in other testimonials.

After just a week at Dogtopia both of our dogs, seven months and six years, have shown improved behaviour. It used to be impossible to take our puppy to a dog park and now she can go and be one of the most playful and friendly pups there. Our older dog who has become a little bit antisocial and had gained some weight is moving a lot more already and playing with our puppy more than she used to. The folks at Dogtopia care so much about the dogs. You can send your dog here to be taken care of and not only will they be perfectly fine they will also thrive and you may even see improvement in their behaviour. They have a super easy to use application for making appointments and a webcam to watch the dog all day.

I'm SO happy that I finally found a daycare that took the time to understand my dogs, and welcomed them into play. We took them both to a local daycare that told us Lincoln was aggressive and didn't like other dogs. This didn't add up to the Lincoln we know, so we set up a meet and greet with Dogtopia. I'm currently watching Lincoln play with another dog and I'm beyond happy to see how much he is enjoying his time with Dogtopia. Bella is our social butterfly and integrates well into any setting, but I can tell how much she loves Dogtopia because this morning (their 4th day) I got in trouble (she likes to yell at me to get her way) for sitting down to drink my morning coffee instead of getting them in the car to go to daycare. Thanks so much Dogtopia!
