Do this trail. Do it! The elevation is moderately hard but it looks a lot more daunting than it is. Get yourself down to the water and cliff jump in! (You can walk down in easily as well) It’s about 2 miles roundtrip and can be tough for anyone that doesn’t do well with steep drop offs.

Ohhh my oh my!! Breathtaking! This trail is so nice, great views, trees for shade for the majority of the trail and some wood benches, if you want to stop for a break. Going down is actually very nice and easy, going up is a bit more challenging, but not too scary. Once you get down to the lake, please do go for a swim. First impression will be that the water is too cold, but once you go in, the feeling is absolutely amazing! Swimming in a dormant volcano 🀩🀩 so cool! I ended up going in 3 different times, because you just can’t get enough! Restrooms are available in the parking and down next to the lake. Plenty of parking available, if you get there before 9-10am, you’ll surely find parking. When we left at 12pm, parking was almost full.

Amazing experience going swimming in Crater Lake. Hiking down is easy, it's the Return trip, that if you are not in good shape, just take your time going back up, bring water and stop and rest , because as the sign says it's walking up 65 floors. I feel 😫 just thinking about it.

O boy! Going down is so much fun. Did I give a secret smile to the people panting, taking breaths heavily going up? Maybe I did, and it took vengeance out of us when we went up. My heart was trying to fracture my rib cage, but my 20-year-old nephew and I could make it to the top without stopping, just to prove the point that we are men πŸ˜‹. I'm just kidding. It was tough for us. Anyway, I'm not an avid hiker, and the walking surface is fairly even. If you come up at a slow pace, you will be fine, I guess the elevation makes it a little more difficult than what it is. I even see kids going up on their own. Proper hiking shoes are recommended, and normal trainers are okay, too. However, at times, I feel like they don't have enough grip on the loose sand and gravel. The view from the trail is amazing. Check out the pictures, although pictures can't capture the actual beauty. You can take a boat ride on Crater Lake at the bottom, take a dip in the lake, jump in, fish, or just sit on a rock, relax, and enjoy the tranquility of the amazing Crater Lake. The color of the lake from the top looks turquoise, but when you get closer, it looks different. Nevertheless, it's still worth the hike. I would happily go back again.

Great hike to get down to the water! There are bathrooms in the parking lot as it can be congested but you can definitely find a parking spot in the back! The hike down is nice and easy! The hike up isn’t too bad but it does require a lot of breaks in between! I definitely recommend checking it out as the views are incredible, you can relax next to the water at the bottom, and the boat tour at the bottom is the best part of this national park in my opinion!

The way down is easy and fast, just make sure you are committed to the hike back up. This is the only way down to the water in the whole park. This is also where you go down for the boat tours. There are chipmunks everywhere on this trail, and birds (we even saw them taking a bath in a natural bird bath). Swimming is aloud in the lake, but it is oh so cold. There is a bathroom at the top and bottom of the trail.

Truly stunning hike which gifts you with the beautiful views of Crater lake. If you are planning for boat ride, reach atleast 30 mins early here and start your hike. We missed our boat ride and later got it rescheduled to the next slot since we started to trek late. The boating staff are very friendly. We also got to see a thunderstorm coming down while on the tour (it was scary to look at; check my pics). They were kind enough to accomodate us in the next slot. Dont forget to cliff dive if you are a good swimmer. You will love it. And the water is COLD (if not freezing !).

The best hike in Oregon. Fun short walk down to the water. Steep very strenuous hike back up. Take lots of breaks and bring plenty of water.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ This was a super fun experience. The guides were great too, kept us safe and entertained. Some of the ziplines took a good 30 seconds to get across and you'd reach upwards of 40MPH on them. And there were some great views from high up in the trees there. There's a few rappels too but you don't have...

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Great observation point! Some parking available, and in case this is full, you can park on the side of the road. From Here you can see the full lake, and get a great view of the Wizard Island. There are a few trails starting at this point, so once you are done with taking pictures of the lake and ju...
