Car ferries a bit Rusty, Seatrans are newer, faster and better quality than Raja. But from Koh Samui to Koh Phangan via car you can only take Raja. Also from Koh Phangan to Surat Thani (Donsak). From Donsak to Koh Samui though you can also take Seatrans Car Ferry. Via internet I couldn't see the child policies, so I went to offices one day in advance to book. Seatrans charged around 800 THB to Koh Samui with car, driver, 1 adult, 1 baby and a five and seven year old. Raja was cheaper and charged only round about 700 THB from Koh Phangan to Donsak, which is a 2.5 hour trip, while from Donsak to Koh Samui it only takes 1.5 hours. Seatrans has nice climate VIP rooms, on Raja the vip room was a bit worse and not so well air conditioned. Shops on both ferries are pretty much the same, very fair prices. I recommend going 1 day in advance and buy tickets, if you know the time when you want to go. Otherwise you can be unlucky and it could be fully booked.

Good pier, good shopping and rental options around, just make sure to check in at the Lomprayah Ticket Office first for your Lomprayah ferry when traveling from here! Online tickets were very convenient other than that bit!

Great pier with amenities not far off. However there isn’t much room to sit down, and you’ll probably end up on the floor. Plus, you have to walk a veeeery long way to get to the end. Other than that, the staff is helpful and I didn’t have much trouble finding where I had to go to check in

It doesn’t look fancy, but we had a good experience with my boyfriend. We were getting a boat to Phangan, but accidentally booked tickets for a wrong day. The ticket lady kindly just changed the date for us to correct one without any extra charge. They have male/female toilets also disabled ones with an easy access. We also had a food on site and it was fresh and delicious for so cheap

This company is the BEST company to travel in Thailand. Really, everything is super organized, until now (I traveled twice) always on time!!! the staff is great and the boats are new I traveled from Bangkok to Koh Phangan (6am bus no VIP) the boat was waiting and the connection from the bus to the boat was organized and fast!!! . Also travel from koh phangan to koh samui + shuttle to the hotel. All 10 points!!!

Nothing wrong with the pier but it's not very well sign posted. Went to get a ferry there and they changed where it docks without any notices up. Someone will always show you the way if you ask though!

Nice big pier. Note that you first have to check in to the ferry and the office is not at the pier, but a short walk into the city. There are some food and drinks stations. With quite spacious waiting area. The waiting area has some cover from the sun and also sitting places. If you come here from any other island, be prepared that Grab does not work here, so you will have to take their shared taxis. Maybe better book with the ferry company or with your hotel. Our travel from Koh Phanang to Koh Samui was for some reason not a catamaran, but a speedboat. It had capacity for only 20-30 people, thus they brought a few of them. Despite the late departure we were still on time with the arrival time.

Good views, good sunset and big space. And now the governments are on the way to renovate & build more convenience areas to service future tourists soon too 😉😊✌️❤️

The pier serves both Seatran and Lomprayah. If you want the cheapest tickets, buy directly from the offices (10 min walk from the pier facilities). Search for the company name on Google maps.

Recently improved with shady place to sit while you wait for your boat. The boats are always less than luxurious and the only way on and off the island.

A proper main port for people/goods/vehicles traveling between Koh Samui and Koh Pangun. Even though most of the way from the ticket office to the port is covered, I strongly recommend a hat/ray ban for a better life quality while waiting for your boat.

It's an amazing pier but i would recommend it if you want to travel from the Lompharaya ferry then please book it in advance.

Pier was ok, you can find places to eat and drink there for an average price as well as money exchange. Our ferry was over booked and we got moved to the next ferry which was 30 minutes later. The ferry is not the most comfortable but it does the job well. Waiting was under the sun and if it were raining we would all get wet which was a problem. I suggest to arrive early to be first in line.

Here is where paradise will welcome you. If you have transport booked, walk towards the meeting point, just direction of the town, will be 200 meter on your left, you'll see the taxes there but also all resort busses

Better get there earlier than later and get your tickets ahed of time, the ferry (all ferrys) never leave on time

Open area so enough room for all tourists. You can wait for your boat under a roof in the shade which is great

Beautiful pier, very well organized transport to the mainland and nearest islands, amazing Saturday food night market, nice coffee shops and cafes right at the exit of the pier

Offices are around area, so if you are with car example you need go 2 desk what not even near boat and real entrance. So don't confused, just ask where all found and find to offices.

The pier and ferry service was good , if not a bit disorganized at times. Over all a good experience. For travelers and tourists be aware that the taxi companies inside the pier will try and overcharge you - I agreed upon a price 150 bhat per person, and as soon as we all loaded into the back of the truck the driver and his wife told us that the price has gone up to 250 bhat per person, don’t be afraid to walk away. The driver quickly returned back to the originally agreed upon fare, but based on his driving style he wasn’t happy - he was reckless and FaceTiming/texting throughout his swervey journey.
