We spend a lot of time on Chaweng beach but thought we would give the other beaches a try. Lamai beach had quite pebbly sand and like the rest of the beaches on the island at the moment the sea was quite rough. Nice place to sunbathe and chill out.

Lamai Beach is most famous beach ⛱️ of Koh Sumai Thailand. You can do lot of water sports activities here like speed boating, boat racing, flyboard, jet skiing, Rafting, Sailing and many more. It is almost 11 km away from central Sumai. Highly recommended to visit this beach 🏖️.

Nice beach however the water was extremely dirty it was green and you couldn’t even see your feet which it was a bit unpleasant. Great beach clubs around the beach, the sand it was fine and during the night we saw an amazing sunset and then the moon it was red and huge on one side and on the other side the sky it was full of thunders and it was like an amazing show.

When we visited, the beach and the water was really dirty. Packed with bars, there was not a lot of people on the beach in december.

A good beach, the sand is different, there is a soft part and a part with small pebbles. The water is not as clear as on Chaweng Beach. You can ride on different water transports. Husband and children rode Jet ski, prices 1000 Baht 15 minutes. You can sit on your towels and on the sun loungers of cafes or resorts, ordering drinks or food from them.

The beach is very long, quiet and beautiful. However, it was cloudy when we visited and we couldn't stay for too long. If you are not staying there, be prepared to pay around 1500 baht for consumables, and you can use the seabed for free.

Great refuge when the waters at other beaches are too violent. Cove is well protected. Today the water was a bit murky due to higher winds,15 knots, around the island. Literally a 25 min walk from Crystal beach. Taxi drivers didn’t seem to want to bring us here and we had to cut passed a private property sign to get access. Easiest access seems to be across from the Outrigger next to the Lamai Pearl, found it upon our exit. Not many restaurants on the beach but we ate at an excellent Thai place on the main road.

Nice beach, I saw all kinds of fish, hermet crabs. The only thing is the motorized water sports, it’s noisy and some get very close to swimmers.

Nice beach . You can enjoy there if you swim.
