I have traveled quite a bit and I've never seen service like here. I want to thank all of the employees at the Ritz Carlton for their amazing care and kindness throughout our visit. We had quite a few spa treatments and the ladies who worked there were very professional and did a good job. The location of the resort is great and the views are breathtaking. Our suite was amazing and as this was our honeymoon, the employees had prepared us a cake, a towel swan/ heart as well as a bubble bath. Arriving here was amazing as was our stay. Finally I want to mention Henry. He was a manager in charge for the last few days of our visit. I had a minor accident and hurt my knee a little bit and he was more than helpful. He also checked up on me and my wife multiple times and was probably one of the kindest people I've ever met.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Ritz. The staff was so polite and helpful with all our needs. In particular, the restaurant staff who went over and beyond to cater to our vegan needs. They made us vegan food that was always delicious. Thank you Maria and staff!! Our room was gorgeous with a great view of the ocean. They arranged for us to rent a scooter and had lots of great advice for things to do and see. There are so many birds to see as well if you like birds....I counted 18 species. The spa massages were so relaxing as well in a nice setting. At the end we wanted to take everyone with us back home. :-)

We only stayed one night at the Ritz in Samui but the property was pretty cool. We booked regular rooms - 615 and 614 and were offered a pool villa upgrade for one room with Titanium Elite status but declined as we were traveling w kids and the rooms were pretty far apart. The resort is huge and you take a golf cart (buggy) around to most locations. The breakfast was included and was awesome. Literally anything you wanted from a buffet and made to order. The pool set up was pretty cool too. The highlight of our morning was swimming in the swim reef! The resort has a reef with tons of tropical fish and a soft pebble bottom allowing you to swim / snorkel without actually getting in the ocean. The kids loved it. The resort didn’t look crowded but it’s also very spread out so tough to tell. Easy ride to the airport (10 minutes) so super convenient. Staff was very friendly. Two thumbs up. 👍🏻

Just stayed at the pool villa for 4 days and 3 nights. There are some pros and cons I want to share. Pros - Polite and respectful employees - Beautifully decorated room - Good guest facilities Cons - Difficult to travel around without golf cart. - Expensive Room (especially the sea view pool villa) - Mediocre Design compared to other hotels with lower room price. Overall, this hotel gave me mixed satisfaction. I did enjoy at staying at this hotel, but I don't want to come back again. I would recommend not to stay at this hotel if you expect worthiest experience at Samui. Maybe I expected too much from staying at Ritz Carlton's Hotel.

The staff upon check in are lovely. You feel relaxed the moment you arrive. Henry was extremely kind and professional. The rooms are superb and provide a coma inducing deep sleep and great for relaxing during the day. The food by the poolside and in the restaurants was amazing. I was really impressed by the quality spread across a variety of offerings. Christoph was also fantastic at service! The team and experience was amazing and can’t wait to come back soon!

Impeccable service! I have stayed in many 5 star hotels before, but this place went above and beyond my expectations! Beautiful grounds! Breathtaking views, but most of all the service is exceptional! Every single staff is always willing to help you and the concierge was outstanding! How many concierge tour you the room and ask if you are satisfied with the room before leaving? I highly recommend this place for a quick getaway!

This is an amazing resort overlooking a gorgeous bay, but a little difficult to find if driving and arriving at night. The one bedroom ocean view villas with private pool are the epitome of spaciousness and luxury. Service in the restaurants is friendly and the buddy drivers are all very cheerful. I'll definitely stay again.

Due to effect of COVID, the hotel decreased number of staff, so some service was not as fast as it should be. The staff had done their best tho, service was still excellent if you don’t mind a bit delay. (I asked them if they gonna fix this, they told me that they gradually increased the number of staff. So it maybe better now.) Breakfast and bedding are nice. Villa and view are awesome. Stay at Ultimate pool villa if you need more privacy. Hotel beach is not that of white sand, it’s a mixed of sand and tiny stones.

Literally top of the hill, around 15 mins walk to choengmon bars and restaurants. Area all way up poorly lit, worst place being outside Ritz Carlton. Rooms are clean and really, really nice and cleaners do a really good job. Pool area and infinity pool looks really nice but the boards are loose and screws up in places - it needs updating. Pool tiles are missing in places and edges loose which is dangerous and grout missing in a lot of tiles. Pool staff are really nice and helpful. Beach isn't sandy but broken shell. Other beaches are much better. Hotel only has one paddle board which was broken for the entire 10 days I was there, which is pretty poor another couldn't be bought. Beach BBQ was very good and the view was a nice evening meal. Issues first four days with breakfast as I needed gluten free which hotel knew well in advance and didn't provide any. It took a number of complaints to be resolved so if gluten free, be careful what you expect. Buggies are generally quick to pick you up and transfer from one area to another. Some really good views of sunset from hotel. SPA is nice but quite expensive.

Great property. Need a full day just to tour the entire place. Go here and enjoy all variety of cuisines at different places / great frozen cocktails. Must try Spa is another experience all together. Well trained therapist and proper wellness routines. Downside- need more shuttle frequency in peak season since it is not accessible by walk to main markets/areas

Lovely resort, not the best beach but adequate. There is One tree on the beach with shade. Go early to get a good spot. Service is good but not great. It is reactive (ask and ye shall receive) but not pro-active. Small example, some food and drink was spilled at breakfast. The staff saw but no one approached to help. It was a small mess and we could deal with it ourselves. But the apathy of the staff was slightly disappointing. Special shout out to the Thai restaurant and the crew there: simply superb food and service. Just let them know how spicy (or not) to make the food and they will adjust it to taste. Definitely a must visit to experience Thai fine dining with a southern flavour. Very refined flavours with the freshest of ingredients. The duck confit and crab cakes were superb. Room was in good condition and I loved that the water drained quickly in the showers and sink. Hate it when these get clogged and take forever to drain. Buggy service was amazingly prompt. It's rare to wait more than 3 minutes for a buggy. Very well managed buggy team. The resort is pretty secluded. Need to take a taxi to get around. Pro tip: call reception to get you a taxi in advance so you don't have to wait 15min at the lobby for the taxi to arrive.

First off, let me just say that The Ritz Carlton Koh Samui is a beautiful and tranquil resort. Every attention to detail concerning architecture and decor has been considered and put into practice, so that is most commendable! Also, the staff are exceptionally friendly and do go the extra mile. I loved the suite we had overlooking the island and going down to the pool to chill with some drinks and chat to Chris was enjoyable. Chris was very helpful and always went the extra mile to ensure guests got the most out of their stay. However, there were some speed bumps that made things somewhat turbulent. First, we booked two suites – one for my partner and me and another for her family. Our suite was ready in time, but her family’s suite was not ready for three hours. This isn’t acceptable practice for a hotel associated with the caliber of The Ritz Carlton. Also, my partner and I are both Gold Elite members of Bonvoy so we would expect our whole party to be checked in at least on time! However, they made good on their fault and allowed four out of five of us complimentary access to the delicious Thai buffet spread with little need to haggle or negotiate, which made things easier. Another thing that was really odd was the communication from the Bonvoy App to the hotel. Our package that we had booked via Bonvoy allowed us free daily drinks. However, we noticed that this wasn’t included when we checked in, so we pressed the staff and they were baffled why this package was still showing on the app, as this package was removed years ago, supposedly. Sorry, but that’s not our problem. We booked and paid with free drinks and we expected of course to receive these throughout the duration of our stay. Again, the staff agreed and there was no resistance from them. The only annoying thing was every time we went to get our allowance of drinks (from any of the various bars) we had to explain to each staff member our situation as they didn’t understand why we were entitled to free drinks. It kind of felt like the staff thought they were doing us a favour by upholding our free drinks, which wasn’t the case at all as we had already paid for the package with drinks included! This became tiresome as the check-in staff had not communicated our circumstances to the bar staff. In short, communication at this hotel is lacking and needs extra attention to detail. Overall, despite the problems, we had a fantastic stay and we would of course stay again, As mentioned before the resort is beautiful and the staff are kind and friendly. I understand problems can occur but at least the problems were dealt with and resolved by the staff without a battle (for the most part!)

Rooms, service and location as expected from a Ritz Carlton. Excellent food quality for buffet breakfast.. good selection and variety of food without compromising the standard. Absolutely love their homemade croissants! Thank you to Carl and the team. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience

A wonderful weekend by the beach. The hotel is lovely (and huge) but it's the ladies and gentlemen who make it a Ritz-Carlton. Two highlights we were lucky enough to meet were Henry at the Front Office and Max down at the pool bar. Both were incredibly gracious and had a certain mystique that elevated our experience from good to great. If you have the good fortune to visit this property seek out these two gentlemen!

Some great staff and unfortunately several holes in their service and coordination, which I hope that they can resolve, soon. The resort is beautiful and very green; the villas nicely done; the distances and pathways are long and strenuous, should you choose to walk. However, it's not a fabulous beach location, if that's what you like: I did not gain the expected 5* luxury relaxation feeling, so I found resorts I enjoyed more, on Samui. Kudos! In all aspects, our engagements with one of the managers, Patricia Rodriguez, were excellently managed.

Breathtaking views. Friendly staff. Very clean and beautifully maintained. Amazing breakfast buffet. 100% recommend. Never have to leave the resort if you don't wish to because there's so much to do within it! Thank you for an amazing stay.

We lived there for 2 nights. Great hospitality and appreciate for all staffs, nice services, great room with nice configuration, feeling relaxing, great system of air conditioner, water, electricity. This hotel is very private feel with great facility and may be largest hotel on Samui. Only cons parts are about location with 1. Mostly locate on hill and each facility is so far away. so you can't walk by your own, Anyway you can call operator for buggy (electric car) to send you to any place you want in hotel which we called a lot. 2. It quite hot and no wind for most area (may be differ for each season, we lived there on June). So I just stay at the room with air-con ;). Nice breakfast with quality there are many section of buffet (fruit, salad, Thai food, national food, pastry section). there are two time of room service, in the evening they also provide little snack which is delicious. (P.S. we didn't try dinner at the peak because the price is high. If you could effort, recommend to try it at evening for great sunset view and private feels)

Everything was beyond expectations. Starting from reservation, it was so easy and precise. Airport pickup was on-time and smooth. Once arrived at the hotel, we were welcome, greeting and check-in by Khun Plub (น้องพลับ). We were upgraded to TerraceSea View room, the room is very spacious, so clean with millions dollars sea view. Hotel foods (BF & Dinner) were delicious, all foods were cooked individually, even though it was a bit pricey. All staffs are so friendly, helpful and happy to serve you whatever you needed. Ritz Carlton Samui is truly Luxury hotel.

Beautiful and artfully designed resort, with facilities and activities for all age groups, almost no need ever leave the hotel. It’s tough to manage a HUGE and relatively new resort during a pandemic. We can feel the challenge, each staff is working really really hard. The management team is always there too. Kla helped us from booking to daily requests through emails and WhatsApp. Maria is the most hard working hotel manager I’ve met, she’s literary everywhere! At breakfast she overheard I asked for Chai and made the kitchen to brew for me next day! Tanzie is always there to answer our questions. Thanks for everything!

This was the worst place I ever stayed at. The staff and unfriendly and immature and unhelpful. I got physically attacked at the hotel and had a panic attack and no one helped me. They said they couldn't help me because I'm not registered on the system, which was a LIE because she took my passport when I checked in. I wouldn't reccomend staying here im very unhappy that the staff were no help at all and they supported the man who attacked me. Extremely disappointed, I expected more professionalism. Do not stay in this hotel!

First greeted by resident manager Tanzie who made ourselves already felt at home. First class landscape with well manicured greeneries, yet eco-friendly. The biggest contributions to our 5+ rating are actually from the staff and their genuine drives to make us feel like home, i.e., like Khun Run at the swim reef, sanctuary onsite with tropical fishes living uniquely in a large tank with seawater pumped into from the ocean, and of course many others from the local area who attended to their service and their stations in this unprecedented pandemic time. Will absolutely come back.

Excellent level of service even over the festive period thanks to outstanding resort manager Mariia. Very detail-oriented, and together with her team, ensured that all guests were well looked after.
