The Hansar is the best hotel on Samui island for a number of big reasons and I stayed there for 5 months so I've got alot of experience. Apart from the staff being incredibly polite, charming and very helpful, for anyone who isn't familiar with Samui let me tell you other big factors if why you should pick them (1) Perfect location right on the edge of fisherman's village with everything within walking distance food and drink wise, which is very important on Samui because if you don't like riding a bike or taking a taxi every trip you make, then you can go eat in very nice places within walking distance with a good pedestrianised area. Nowhere else offers this location wise for a 4 or 5 star hotel. (2) The view right out to sea is beautiful from many of their rooms and is unobstructed. (3) They have one of the biggest swimming pools with the best view out to sea. (4) The rooms are spacious and kept cleaned to a very high standard. (5) Their breakfast is diverse and they are very hospitable to guests needs. (6) Their beachside bar serves fantastic cocktails and is a great place to start or end a night. If your a family or couple and looking for a high end hotel with the best of all these things it's definitely the one to choose.

Hotel is simple and doesn’t exceed 3 stars I had to abandon my reservation and move to new resort although it was non refundable. But when you compare it with other nearby resorts, you will definitely realize the difference. I was shocked when I arrived as the high ratings and feedbacks were way far from the reality.

I decided to give a 4 star review and not 3, just because of the wonderful staff, they made are stay much better. Overall, it’s a really nice hotel. The location is a win of course. The breakfast is excellent. The pool is the best, could easily hang there all day long. The Staff at the restaurant, bar and lobby are fabulous. So nice and helpful. The room were the downside to me. We stayed in a deluxe room, 10 people, 5 rooms - everyone had the moisture problem. Bad smell and moisture sheets. The solution of the hotel was to place some kind of a machine that soaked the moisture. Not acceptable in 5 star hotel. Also, the shower is transparent and placed right in the entrance to the room, not a drop of privacy, or comfortable place to dress up. The room is very dark as well. I wouldn’t stay again just because of the rooms.

Not a 5 stars hotel. This should be only 4 stars hotel. Cleanliness - not so clean. The room and the bedsheets smells musty. There are white stains almost everywhere esp. in the bathroom and on the bed sheet. The windows are not clean. Everything looks quite old and requires renovation. I told the staff that they should clean better 2 times. It gets a bit better but still not 5 stars hotel standard. Room - good size with pretty ocean view. But very dark in the room. I cannot put on make up anywhere in the room…. Location - great. Next to fisherman’s village and nice beach bars. Service - very good. Very friendly. Pool - Great. Big. Facilities- looks quite old. Requires renovation in general. All in all, it was ok. But it would not recommend this hotel if you are a clean freak.

Great location, right by the beach and Fisherman's village. Beautiful grounds and swimming pool. Good food and cocktails served at the restaurant and pool bar. Fantastic service from all staff, from the ones at reception to ones at the pool bar and restaurant - they went out of their way to help me with whatever I needed and did so efficiently and with a smile. Adequate gym with enough equipment for cardio and some light weight training. (Mostly) beautiful and spacious rooms (the first one I stayed in was fine but looking quite dated or almost unfinished - not quite 5 star quality - but due to an issue with the aircon I was upgraded without even asking and the larger room I moved to was much better kept). Huge balcony with a ceiling fan. Comfortable mattress and pillows. Great rain shower with good water pressure. Great sea views from most rooms! The only (minor) cons and the reasons I deducted one star were: the aircon is loud, the minibar wasn't properly stocked (only 2 beers and 2 cokes), the breakfast was average with not enough variety for a 5-star hotel, the decking area by the pool needs maintenance, there's some sort of machine by the pool area that gets turned on at certain times of day and it can get quite loud, the room would smell a bit musty unless I had the balcony doors open during the day, and although the room was spotless when I checked in, housekeeping only 'lightly' cleaned it during my stay. Overall it's a really good hotel and great value for money!

It's the resort at Bo Put beach that is completely of swimming pool, beach gym, bar and restaurant in one place. Bo Put area is cool and chilling beach with many facilities that you want in one area. There is a weekend market walking street in the evening. If you go to Koh Samui, please try to stay in this area a few night.

I wasn't happy with the room. Looked great in the photos online but when you are inside you really can tell it's not had its maintenance, everything is aged and has collected up all the dirt from the past years. Floorboards needs repolishing and varnishing. Walls need a clean and repainted. Aircon system is either freezing or humid. Room design is terrible for ergonomics. No lifts. Lobby entertainment area needs a refurb and deep clean. The location is top and the manager is lovely. Room is overpriced, I would say you are paying for the location only. You can find much better, clean, modern and comfortable rooms for the same price in bophut if you go further down away from the main beach area.

Nice hotel right next to the restaurants and animation of the Fisherman's village. The room looks nice and the view is amazing. The service is great if you ask for it. They can rent a scooter or book excursions for you. The breakfast is not that great but the food from the restaurant is okay. Also the beach is not very nice on that side of the island, the sand is thick and the water not transparent.

The most amazing place to stay, great food and drink offerings, comfortable king bed and pillows, picture perfect view. It doesn't get much better than this. We stayed in a Seaview XL room with stunning views over the infinity pool and beach. Within a short walk into the fisherman's village there's more restaurants than you can possibly try in a holiday time frame - lots of fresh seafood and traditional Thai food. There's not much of a sunset here at Bophut so get up early for sunrise, which is spectacular. Enjoy the two for one cocktails during happy hour at the Pool Bar. Book a private cooking lesson with Chef Lin Lee and learn to cook 4 dishes of your choosing off the menu and enjoy them for lunch. No cleaning up or dishes - great value and all the hints and tips you need to replicate great Thai food at home. This was a fantastic holiday - the first since Covid in 2019. Can't wait to go back to Hansar Samui.

This hotel deserves its five star reputation considering its superb location near the main bars, clean and beautiful rooms, quality beach area, evening singer at the beach bar, and ridiculously low prices. Do not hesitate to book the hotel. I regret only stay one night there. Would certainly visit the hotel again if come back Samui.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Overall it was great and satisfying. Location is very nice. The infinity pool is amazing with the wonderful bar and staff are nice but there are a few things I need to point out. Maybe because building is old the room smells musty. They need to clean air conditioner. The pillows and bed are also musty too because of that we couldn’t sleep well. I would say quality of this hotel is not 5 start it’s like a 4 star hotel considering that but don’t get me wrong we were surely satisfied with our stay.

Fabulous and easy resort, just what you would want for a relaxing, vacay in Koh Samui, comfortable and modern bedrooms, easy access to pool/ beachfront + fisherman's Village. Great value for money deal. Some hitches for the services at the breakfast- not the best BF but average 5 star quality. One big annoyance was the pool area, engineering/maintenance room was WAY too loud for it to be placed in the middle of the pool area. This gave me a big headache.

This is our first trip back to Hansar Samui since the pandemic. We are happy to see familiar faces from the beach bar and front desk and even though be booked 5 days (which we thought was a lot) we didn’t want to leave and are already planning to come back. We traveled as a family but still had to work during the day. It worked out well that we could work from our balconies and still have the nice sea views. Our kids loved swimming in the pool all day on the floating beam bags and lounging around the hotel with the friendly hotel team. Recommended things to do, Thai massage at Luxsa spa, Cocotam next door, zip lining and a day trip to Koh Phangan for snorkeling.

Make sure to use HoteITully.ᴄᴏm when booking any room. This website will compare thousands of hotel sites and usually will have rates much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of my favorites in the area. I have been coming here for years. If you stay for a few nights you will love it I'm sure! Great location , good pricing .Rooms are nice but starting to show their age a bit . Breakfast is very good ... liquor at the outside bar lacks any alcohol . I walk to the other end of Fisherman's village and visit the vw bus bar for awesome cheap drinks

Great hotel for a luxury stay near Fisherman's Village. Location was super walkable to Fisherman's Village and the night market (5 min walk). Hotel rooms were clean and beautiful, with a view of the sea. Very friendly resturaunt and front desk staff. Wonderful pool overlooking the sea.

It might look like a robot review, but this is a great hotel with super friendly staff, always helping and doing their max to help. The beachfront view with the pool is great also ☺️ I would highly recommend

A lovely beach, beautiful and large rooms, a balcony of the room with a gorgeous view. The staff is so helpful, just perfect. Close to the fishermen's market, many restaurants, bars, great location. Keep in mind that the bathroom is not separated from the room, one space, so for those who value privacy in the shower it may be problematic.

Hansar Samui easily has the best of it’s location being a stone’s throw from Fisherman’s Village, and with great uninterrupted views of the sea and Koh Pha Ngan. It is a low density hotel, so it doesn’t feel overwhelming or hectic which are great selling points for me. The pool is massive and the food (breakfast and dinner) are great, plus the view of the sea from your dining table is something to look forward to. The staff were friendly and very helpful, a shout out to Anna of H-Bistro for her affable and bubbly nature. She is an asset to Hansar. I’ve also tried the spa for a massage, and it was great. The large balcony area is a big plus as I had the Sea View room (worth the extra cost)- and the view of Koh Pha Ngan was amazing. Again, a nice wake up to each morning. Having a day bed and a rocking chair on the balcony is a nice touch. The one thing that I’ll say is that Hansar’s age is certainly showing in the worn doors and fused LED room lighting, as a few light bulbs were not working in the bedroom and shower area. The switches were also temperamental as I needed to apply a lot of pressure for the shower light switch to work. I hope that management will focus on maintaining room fittings, as my room has these electrical issues.

Loved our stay at Hansar. Great value for money. The rooms are very comfortable and with an ocean view the patio was well used by us. A big pool with lots of sunshine and more than enough comfortable chairs around the pool and on the beach. Steps away from many restaurants on Fisherman’s Walk.

We had a seaview double room. It was big with a huge shower and balcony! You can hear the ocean waves all day and night which was so lovely. The pool is large with an amazing view and lots of loungers. They supply water bottles daily and chocolates. The free breakfast buffet is good with custom eggs and fresh made pancakes. It’s a quiet area just a minute walk from the strip. Super close to cocotams with the amazing fire show. 4 stars because the room has a musty smell especially the bed which wasn’t pleasant for sleeping. I don’t think they can do much about this but change the mattress and pillows. We had the sheets changed during our 4 night stay, that helped a little and we kept the door open all day with the ac off to help dry it up. If they can figure out the bedding issue this would be a total 5 star stay.

Such a beautiful hotel in the best location. Everything´s close - restaurants, bars, private beach, motorbike rent, supermarkets.. The room was very nice, clean and our beds were very comfortable. The air condition and Wi-fi worked well all the time. We had a breakfast included and it was very tasty and there was large selection every day. The staff in Hansar was always kind and helpful. The pool is the biggest I have ever seen in my life. So amazing and the sea view was awesome from there. There is nothing to complain about this hotel. I recommend to stay here! :)

Hansar is a medium sized four star hotel that is good value for money. Location - hotel is perfectly situated right at the beach and walking distance to Fishermans Village, which is a quaint little area filled with restaurant options, shops and massage parlours. Food/Breakfast buffet - good food and plenty of options. Rooms/Decour - Modern rooms, which are well appointed.  Very clean. Pool/Beach - Beautiful infinity pool. Enough loungers available with umbrellas. Beach is not amazing.  Sand is very course and not comfortable on your feet and water is a little cloudy. Vibe/Age - We were there in low season, so hotel was not super busy. Mix age demograhic and overall was quiet and relaxing.  Not a place for heavy drinkers/partyers. Gym - Had a few cardio machines, free weights and a few weight machines.  Enough to get the job done if you are an avid fitness enthusiast. Spa - Great massages.  You pay a little more, but they are upscale and convenient being on hotel grounds. Service - Friendly service with a smile.  We had a small issue that was dealt with promptly and fairly. Overall, a good hotel and value.  I would recommend to others. However, if i were to return to Koh Samui again, I would likely attend a different resort with a nicer beach/sand, since we are beach people.

Great hotel for a relaxing stay! I stayed for 4 nights back in May at the heart of the hot season and it was scorching! The rooms were large with great balcony areas with day beds and a fan to keep you cool. There's plenty of mosquitos out there at night so keep the fan on or you'll be eaten alive. Although nicely appointed, I found the rooms were starting to get a little tired with some things not working and plenty of scratches to the fittings and furniture. One major flaw I found was the lack of a proper desk so I found myself on the floor most of the time that I needed to use my laptop which wasn't overly comfortable. Luckily a swim in the pool or soaking in the still waters of Bo Phut beach quickly fixes any aching muscles. The staff down at the restaurant were great especially the breakfast team. I didn't find the breakfast selection too exciting but it did the trick with plenty of fresh fruit and juices to get your day started.

Excellent hotel in a perfect location, right in the heart of and walkable to everything in Samui’s Fisherman’s Village. Stayed here for 3 nights and wish we had a few more. We booked a Double XL room and it was spacious and beautifully decorated. The hotel pool area was great, the location was incredible (just a short stroll to the night market and to so many great stores/restaurants in the village). One thing we felt that could be worked on is the breakfast — it wasn’t great, lacked many vegan/vegetarian options (more heavy on bacon/meat type options) and wasn’t on par with breakfasts at other comparable hotels we stayed at. Drinks at the bar were great, though we always had to walk over from pool area to order (vs other guests who would have bartenders approach them). Overall the staff was friendly and helpful, you can rent a motorbike right from the front desk (we did and it was a great way to cruise the island), the room was beautiful and comfortable, and the facilities were good. Would recommend and would stay at again.

Amazing Hotel High class, clean, nice staff , the Pool is just haven with one of the best views . The Rooms are big and week designed , but more suitable for couples then families with Kids due to the open view showers.

Last night at hansar ): Cant believe we are leaving this heaven. The best hotel we ever accommodated in The most beautiful and clean rooms and super generous stuff. We would like to thank angel and ford from reception for being so kind and helpful!! 100% we will come back in the future(:

One of the best hotels I have been to. The pool is amazing! Nice breakfast, good location. Only one thing, the shower is open and inside the room, no privacy. Except that, everything was amazing.

Stayed there again after several years. Hotel design and location are excellent, and the staff is trying their best to make guests feel welcome. But .... the property shows visible signs of wear & tear and is in need of a renovation. We had to change rooms (top category) after rainwater dripped from the ceiling after a storm. Upholstery indoors and especially outdoors looks torn and worn. It's a lovely place, so we hope the owners will be able to raise the budget to do what is needed.

Lovely hotel is a great location. Great pool and very clean beach. Perfect for families with kids. Breakfast was very nice too. Lovely comfortable balconies with lots of space. I loved the hotel-provided straw beach bags 🥰

Room smells musty and everything is too old. Cleanliness doesn’t meet 5-star standard as claimed. Room layout is highly not functional. With the space limit, guess they tried to make it look and feel spacious as much as possible,,, but nothing is functional… there’s only one available plug, strange bathroom layout and functions. The beach seems noisy but the pool is large and nice. Still, I would not recommend as I myself am going to give away the other nights and go to other place. The staff are all friendly and highly accommodating. The owner should look into renovation phasing, change of beddings and fix the smelly curtains!

Great hotel, big room, location is right next to the farmer village district. Good continental breakfast with western and local dishes. There is ping pong, snooker, outside bar and you can take kayak and paddle board for free. Shower walls are transparent so make sure you go there with someone you love. The room was little bit dark.

Every single aspect of our stay was amazing!! The staff, the rooms, the amenities and the location were all superb. We haven’t left a holiday feeling so relaxed and cared for in forever. The beds and pillows were A1+++ and the staff service right down to the packed breakfast for our early check out were so special. We will definitely be back and we can’t wait. Huge love to the team at Hansar Samui from some very worldly travellers 💜.

The room is very clean and tidy, day to day cleanings are pretty spot on. Breakfast buffet is pretty good also. This place also located near evening hangout spots which is nice.

My husband and I stayed here last weekend and had a wonderful time. The room was absolutely beautiful, the pool is the biggest I have seen in a hotel, and the staff were incredibly friendly and kind. Great location too. Highly recommended!

Very nice hotel, excellent service. 3 minutes walking to fisherman village that has alot of restaurants and dining options. Dining is mostly fancy and international cuisines , you wouldn't find local shops and street food in this area . We liked it but it's not our type of travel. We go more for local food and markets . Transportation are very expensive compared to phuket and Bangkok and limited too . Unless you rent a motorcycle you wouldn't be able to go around the island on budget.pool is amazing , beach is not for swimming , high tide , not clean. Beach not well prepared wit seats and umbrella. Highly recommend if you want to hang out by the pool and have fancy dinners .

Might have been a 5* hotel some years ago, is definately not one now. The hotel is quite beautiful, clearly constructed for a 5* and I have the XL with sea view which is quite beautiful so I can’t complain. Also a practical gym, which is good. However many things are just not up to standard from the management side, for a 5* hotel: from 1 little bag of soluble coffee in the room, to an empty mini fridge, there are no bath salts for the giant bath tub, I leave all morning and the room is not made when I get back, not to mention the absolutely worst breakfast I have had in an hotel in the past few years.. yikes! For an IBIS hotel you make do.. a five star, no way! Super loud air conditioning in the room… and just a lack of attention and service.. and this is only after one day. I guess it depends what you are looking for; great location and 4*maybe,.. Good but really not Great.

Best location: right by the beach, close to the night market and the restaurants, but far enough from the noise and traffic. Just 15 minutes away from the airport. Nice, big swimming pool. Really delicious breakfast included. Great staff. Nice views. Spacious, comfortable and modern bedrooms. Nice terrace space to chill out just outside each bedroom.
