Stayed here for 8 nights. Decent place, value for money.Staff are polite and courteous. Best part is the access to private beach, and they offer free kayak boats. There is a deck next to the beach to lie down and enjoy the ocean. Swimming pool is also great with ample space and lay-down chairs - the view of the ocean from the pool is stunning. Restaurant also is ok - not too pricey. Not bad location: It's about 0.5km from the main Chaweng area, and about 1.5km from Central Mall. Airport is about 2 km There is a bike rental shop near by - so handy to rent a bike. Nearest Big C supermarket is about 200 meters away - so quite handy

Very nice place. Beautiful scenery . lovely beach. Very good food from restaurant. Nice breakfast. Villa was fine. (Could have done with an Ironing board and iron).we had to get a maintenance man to fix front door because it wouldn't shut on first night. Bathroom could do with a spruce up. Shower light needs cleaning inside..

This hotel has a very peaceful location and pool. However the staff are rude, racist towards non Thais and angry all the time. The rooms are also damp and dark. The manager in the restaurant is a lady who is unpleasant to even speak with and ask for anything. Her attitude drove us to get means elsewhere even though we were staying here. The massage ladies though are sweet and capable. Only good about this hotel is the pool and the massage ladies.

Absolutely terrible service when booking through Agoda. Had this booking confirmed for months and was communicating directly with hotel about airport transfer the day of arrival. Upon reaching the airport there was no one there, no emails, nothing. Called the hotel and they said the room had been cancelled with zero prior warning and no apologies either. Both Agoda and casa del mar were incredibly unprofessional and lacked in the most basic necessary communication. We’ve had an awful experience and would not recommend - EXTREMELY dodgy and corrupt business practices.

Cozy place to stay. Quiet and Relaxing. Staff are accommodating. Special mention to Mandi who has been in all areas of the hotel, ready to assist all the guest with dedication from reception to restaurant. Many options of hotel to choose around Chaweng area and no regrets we decided to stay here with amenities they offer like the fitness room though small but will do the job, outdoor spa with great masseuse, relaxing pool and beachfront with clear blue water where you can dip all day long. Highly recommended!

My beach bungalow was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom is private but open air, so no A/C in there. The modern TV had very poor reception and picture - but didn't come here to watch TV - so no biggie on that.

Especially the Villas are beautiful and well equipped with everything you need. The location is very beautiful, overlooking the bay of Chaweng. The swimming pool is perfect with the direction to the sea. Breakfast and food is good and price is okay. Staff is helpful and friendly

Our home in Samui for the last two visits, the staff are absolutely amazing here, they make you feel like family from the first day until you check out. Recommend the Deluxe Villas if you can stretch a little but some of our family had the rooms in the main building and they were great too. Breakfast was always a highlight because it comes with a morning view that is just beautiful. We were a group of 10 including children of various ages and the pool was really popular throughout the trip. When we look for a hotel in a location we are really looking for a home from home when you can get to know the staff and where they remember things about you, coffee or tea at breakfast, ask about yesterday’s excursion. This is what we found here. I’ll b back!

I typically don't write reviews, and I've never written a negative one before, but this experience was so unpleasant that I feel compelled to share it. Beware of this hotel, and make sure to take photos when you check in. If you notice anything broken, photograph it immediately. My family and I have stayed at this hotel multiple times. This time, we booked a beachfront villa. On the second day, I received a robust call from reception, insisting that I pay 2000 THB for a broken window in the bathroom door. I hadn't even noticed the damage until then. (My wife had seen it on the first day but dismissed it, thinking "this is Thailand" and that things can be imperfect here and there.) We are certain that we didn't break it, and we tried to reason with them, but they wouldn't listen or believe us. They showed us a photo without a date or time stamp, where the glass wasn't broken, and that was their evidence. We didn't want to involve the police, so I reluctantly paid the 2000 THB. This is not about 2000 THB, it's disheartening to be labeled as dishonest when we've been loyal customers. We are kind people with high integrity. We would have paid for the damage if we had caused it. It's evident that some of their staff are not being truthful in this situation, but they didn't consider this possibility for a moment.

We have always had a peaceful and relaxing vacation staying here. Quiet and peaceful place located next to the ocean where the water is so clam and crystal clear. The beachfront room has a spectacular views during both sunrise and sunset. The service was excellent. Staff are super friendly and welcoming. You can also enjoy a massage next to the pool under the giant tree. So pretty and peaceful. Highly recommended!

Casa De Mar Samui is a great hotel, from the welcoming to any questions or queries the staff were always there to help with a smile. I booked a villa, I had one by the restaurant and pool, the villa was a very good size, it had everything in that you would need, the bathroom was a good size, and the AC was great, the room got very cold just how I like it. It was very quiet and away from the main street with the restaurants and bars, there was a couple of restaurants at the end of the road and the nearest 7-Eleven was a 10 minutes walk which I didn't think was too bad. On my day of checking out I was given a gift by the hotel staff, this was very kind of them and I love it, so thank you.

Reconsider before booking here. Positives: Amazing ocean views from the villa and private pool. We enjoyed catching waves right on the beach front on the free stand up paddle boards. Reconsider: - Private pool had a foul stench of Bangkok sewerage for most of our stay. - One day before we arrived, we got an email saying they had cancelled our three night booking. Once we called back asap, they accidentally canceled our stay due to a system change over. Someone else had booked two nights and we could only book 1 night. This was a blessing in disguise. - Air-conditioner was broken open arrival. Maintenance staff rushed in to fix it while we brought all our bags to the room. - food was overpriced. - staff seemed over stressed I wouldn’t recommend to stay here in the future. We paid the same price at Bandara Hotel and Resort, with much better customer service and cleaner amenities!

Positive: Great location at the sea, beautiful garden with nice and stylish bungalows, good and friendly service, clean kitchen, great swimming pool area, good breakfast, very authentic overall style - you feel like staying in the nature directly at the waterfront. Negative: Everything is hygienic - but needs to look cleaner. Very calcified fittings everywhere. You cannot look through the window of your shower. Floor in the bathroom was dirty in our room. Very large brown stains on white walls from dead mosquitoes. The toilets in the public area are just disgusting. Totally unused great potential of beautiful terrace directly at the see. Overall: We would come again but might try another hotel first.

Great place and great service provided during our stay. We had some issues with our reservation because of Agoda website. But the staff did a great job to fix the situation. The swimming pool IS great with the bar beside who provides good food and drinks. The beach which is really close is a great asset

We are currently staying here and really enjoying our time - the resort is busy, the villas are spacious and clean, they could do with some small things like some touch ups in the bathroom, revarnished decks and better lighting. Definitely worth upgrading to the villa if you can. Pool is nice, beach access is amazing and the food at the restaurant is quite good - resort is just out of the main strip of Chaweng, maybe a 10 minute walk to the action. Great value for money for a villa in chaweng beach and it’s location means that it has a beautiful private beach- I would recommend this resort.

Comfy stay in 4 days trip in Samui. It was my partner’s BD trip and the hotel accommodated a surprise birthday cake&set-up in the room. We stayed in a villa which is quite spacious. Breakfast was great and it was so peaceful having breakfast with the nice beach view. Staffs were friendly specially the lady at the breakfast venue. The only downside was the location which is peaceful and close to the airport in advantage. But it was far from tourist attractions and downtown Nathorn beaches. Else is fine with reasonable price and peaceful locations.

Fantastic accommodation! Located outside Chaweng, yet only 10 minutes by taxi/tuktuk. Situated on a beautiful powder white sandy beach with safe, shallow water. Facilities include a bar & restaurant, gym, swimming pool, massage, sun deck, gardens and direct beach access. Including free paddle board use. The Villa we had is highly recommended with spacious interior, comfortable bed, en-suite bathroom, safe, air con and outside seating area. The staff were all very friendly and helpful: particularly the front of house girl on the restaurant and Jinny the cleaner. There are restaurants and bars nearby on both the beach and main road. Airport is 10 minutes away. Other places to visit within 30 minutes drive include the Big Buddha, Fisherman’s Village and more!

Rooms were lovely and clean. All the public facilities were also very clean and the staff were so helpful and friendly. We had a massage at the hotel which was amazing. We would stay again!

DO NOT STAY HERE. Wifi did not work my entire stay, only cold showers whole time, the hotel is at the bottom of a steep hill and only uphill walk to the good part of Chewang. The hotel is also at the end of the beach and it is disgusting, not really a beach. The food at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was mediocre at best but I barely finished my meal. The sheets and towels don’t feel clean they just smell like someone sprayed toilet air freshener on them. Everything is calcified, dusty, and the whole hotel just has a weird vibe.

This is the PERFECT hotel for a vacation gateway in Koh Samui, Chaweng area. I have a wonderful time here every time I visited. The view are amazing, the room were always so clean, and the staff are always so friendly and very helpful. The beach and water are so amazing all day long. Such a beautiful and peaceful vibes. Highly recommend!

Beachside Pool Villa 🤩🤩 just do it! Staff so lovely and accomodating nothing was too much trouble. Food options were great. Hire a scooter or car thru reception as it takes the hassle out of haggling for one on the street

The best hotel for the price in Samui. The service was incredible and the rooms were super nice. The hotel and pool are right along the water. The happy hour is such a plus and you can use the SUP boards whenever you’d like! 10/10 recommend.

The rooms of the beach caottages are outdated. Mosquitos in the bathroom were all the time as there an access for them from the outdoors. The place is nice though, and super friendly and helpful staff.

The rooms were always super clean and the pool/restaurant area was one of the most beautiful I have ever been to, it has a very nice atmosphere. The restaurant is also a very nice place to work. The staff was super friendly!

This review is about the restaurant only. It's a nice location, cozy place, affordable prices. But the service is terrible in the restaurant. Super lazy staff, hanging around and play with the phone instead of taking care of the customers. They never clean up the tables after people left. You always need to stand up and walk to them when you like to order. Big big room to improve. This table in the picture is since an hour not cleaned. And the staff walks by all the time.

Lovely resort with great pool and beach access. Yummy food in restaurant. Not great location, either need taxi to main bars/area or walk along the beach at low tide..

This was a really difficult one for me to judge. Im somewhere between a 3/4. Location: I was under the impression it was beachfront. It's not, or wasn't while I was there, it is seafront - there's no beach. During high tide there is no sign of sand. At low tide I saw about 3 square meters of beach which was being brushed by water constantly. You could not lay on the beach. Everyday we saw people arrive with their beach bag, only to turn around and leave. We did the same. This seems to be everyone's first day ritual - so it's not advertised very accurately. Also, it's quite a walk from most things, I didn't mind, I needed the exercise. The local area has been devastated by covid. Facilities: The pool was nice because it was very quiet when we were there but there's only 12 loungers so if you're booking at a busy time you may be bitterly dissapointed. The gym looked good but no water provided inside. The room was acceptable. Bathroom a bit small. Breakfast: This was the best part. Egg station and a full compliment of western options and some Thai options each day. Staff: Quite attentive but we booked a taxi on our last day and it was 15 minutes late and no-one told us we had to pay at reception. Only then did we get our taxi. I think it was forgotten. Prices in the restaurant were a little higher than average and it just all felt like a bit of a let down. We choose to leave rather than extend beyond our initial 3 night booking. I would start for a couple of nights to gawk at channel but then leave to one of the nicer parts of the island.

Nice and modern hotel with a perfect size. We booked 7 nights in Jan 2022. Has a very nice flair that attracts digital nomads, deluxe backpapers or even burned out consultants to take a rest and enjoy a laidback lifestyle. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Inhouse-massage service is great.(They are not charging any extra rates for being in a hotel). Laundry was good too. Restaurant is highly recommendable. Good Value for Money. Wishing the Hotel all the best to come out stronger after this pandemic. Thank you <3

Hotel is nice, ok rooms however that’s about it. Booked a rate on booking.com that specially said all the of this was included in the rate: Two-way airport transfer - Free breakfast for 2 persons - 20 minutes of jetski One-day tour to Koh Tao and Koh Nang Yuan We asked to be picked up from the pier at 11:30. We arrived and no one was there so had to call and wait a further 20 minutes. We got to the hotel and the service is very basic, no smiles just here’s your room key blah blah bye. I stated that we have got all these extras and showed them my booking. They said no it’s not included. I spoke to the manager and showed the screenshot from my booking that says all of the above is included. She laughed at me and said she couldn’t offer it. She told me she could refund me and find another place to stay! I even said, if you can’t provide what was included in my rate then at least provide me with a room upgrade to which she declined. I contacted booking.com and they have contacted the hotel but said I should try and speak to management which I already had done. Never experienced customer service like this before, truly awful.

The hotel is really nice. The pool is amazing and just by the sea, and there is kayaks just by the beach owned by the hotel, where you can use for free. The massage there was amazing, and the ladies were very friendly. The only two bad things 1. There is no English channels in the tv only thai 2. The parking entrance is very small

One of the best hotels/ resorts on island. Best staff I have ever seen. Big shoutout to Nisa, which was one of the friendliest staff I have ever met. And also the other staff at the restaurant and reception is great. On top of the best staff they have beautiful and very clean rooms and pool. Also the view is amazing. Definitely coming back to Casa de Mar :)

Super location and great facilities. The kids loved the pool and chaweng beach. Bit quiet but good for the few days we stayed. Staffs was nice and polite. The food menu was great and our room was comfortable and clean. Would come back again for sure!

Very comfy stay. The room is okay in size but the bed was super soft. The breakfast was good but the view over to Chaweng beach was amazing. Reasonably priced although the pricing was still little above average for its range.

Amazing experience. Within a month we returned 2 times. The rooms are clean and comfy, breakfast/lunch/dinner amazing and affordable and I would give 5 stars for the service. Team is great and always willing to help. Recommend!

Decent Hotel with bright and clean rooms. The beach is at the most northern top of chaweng beach. There is no more beach. You have to take some stairs to go in I would recommend to stay more in the center of chaweng where is a proper beach. Moreover around the hotel most restaurants and shops are abandoned for sure they didn't survive covid.

  • 4/5 Debbie M. 2 years ago on Google
The staff was friendly and helpful, the area is quiet, and the room was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was good and the restaurant has a nice view with access to a small beach. You can get an excellent, reasonably priced massage next to the pool (but it's not a private room or "spa"). Some of the rooms opened out to the walkway that everyone takes to the pool and restaurant- I didn't like how you could see into the rooms, even with the curtains closed. I wouldn't want to stay in one of those rooms, but I would stay at the hotel again.

A great resort just out of crazy Chaweng Beach. The beach front rooms are supreme, lovely view right on top of the water. Beach access, nice pool, great restaurant and fun staff, I was very happy. Good value! My only disappointment was the SUP was a toy and no kayak.

Non smokers- Watch out- My only issue- smoking areas. There are no designated smoking areas, and guests smoke marijuana (weed) in the dinning space facing the sea, which is also next to the pool. Me and my partner don’t smoke, hence making it frustrating to eat in the dinning area or swim in the pool as the smell and smoke of the drug travels quite quickly. In speaking to the staff at the dinning, they suggested people can smoke in the area facing the sea. Not against smoking, but there is no respect for someone who does not do it. I have stayed in other hotels in Thailand, and have not seen people smoking the drug in common spaces. Quite unhappy about this. Ruins our private time Staying at the hotel for about 5 nights. The place is good, like the rooms, quite cosy and breakfast is decent. The place is sea facing and not beach facing, best to hire a bike to get to places around here.
