Why 5 stars? The rooms are basic. The best part of this place is the tom yum soup in the restaurant before the beach. The beach is quiet and lovely water and no boom boom music. The family that runs the resort is friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended if you want a place to relax and have good food.

We stayed there again after two long years (thanks corona 🖕😡), and for the second time everything was fine again!🙏😊 It was an overwhelming welcome, because the manager Che and also the friendly lady at the reception did recognize us after that long time...🤗 We almost got the same room as last time and so we felt like home again... Nice place with a great location. The beach is a 10 second walk. Staff was very friendly and helpful with arranging tours and taxis. The place itself could have used a bit of a TLC after the covid lockdown.. but overall we had a really pleasant stay m. Good value for money

One of the best resorts at an affordable price. Right from the very beginning the staff were very lovely. Very respectful but friendly staff who will make sure all your needs are met with a smile. Location is the next best thing with a private beach accessible to just five such resorts. Cleaner than any other beaches in Koh Samui. Rooms are just right. The only thing I found lacking was that there is no hair dryer and also no hand towels. These would make is perfect for sure. Restaurant is lovely with delicious food and located right at the beach. Overall a great experience and would very much recommend to anyone.

I guess your experience really depends on the price, I got an incredible deal ~50% off from hotels in the same location, but other hotels might be prettier. This one is slightly old but in good condition (a few paint details here and there). But the service is incredible, and the upgraded rooms are really good. The swimming pool is ~170 cm deep, this is grate, but careful if you’re small and don’t know how to swim. The beach is amazing 😻 super beautiful, but you definitely need water shoes I recommend the most left side of the shore for swimming, has less rocks. 10/10

We've been here in the rainingseason, so we just saw a lot of rain. Anyway the hotel was always clean and the stuff was really friendly, even the small beach which was part of the area was always clean! One of the guys offered us to drive us to the airport because the streets were full of water. He also advised us to travel to the north of Thailand because the weather is defintily better there now. We might come back during summer time to enjoy the sun at the beach! Thank you so much for your hospitality! :-)

Great place to stay or spent couple of hours on the beach. Crystal beach is known as a perfect site for the amazing views. We came here for a dinner to the on-site restaurant... oh... it was great... food served at fast and elegant manner, exeptional service and reasonable prices made the day out of the ordinary. Will come back here next season.

Loved the large clean room. It's right on the beach - the beach itself is lovely. Great for swimming and sunbathing. Good pool area which was never busy. Food at the beach restaurant was great - it usually is in Thailand. The staff couldn't be more friendly snd helpful. It made a change from Chaweng and I would recommend a stay at the Thongtakian resort.

Thong takian is situated on Silver Beach in Lamai Ko Samui - quite a busy beach but perfect for swimming with many bars and restaurants. The pool area was always quiet and great for a swim any time.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Thongtakian Resort for a solid two weeks, and I was so enamored with the experience that I extended my stay for an additional four days. Nestled perfectly on Silver Beach in Koh Samui, the resort offers an unparalleled view and access to the pristine white sands. We chose the private room, which not only overlooked the inviting pool but was also mere steps away from the beach. Every meal at the beachside restaurant was a delight, with authentic Thai dishes that tantalized the taste buds and refreshing fruit shakes to beat the tropical heat. However, I do wish the restaurant stayed open beyond 5pm. The staff's dedication and attentiveness added to the overall charm, ensuring our room was spotless daily, complete with fresh towels and complimentary water bottles. The room itself was well-equipped, boasting a comfortable double bed, fridge, kettle, and even tea and coffee-making facilities. The added desk was a boon for my remote working needs. As for Silver Beach, it's a serene paradise, never too crowded, allowing for peaceful relaxation. Highly recommend Thongtakian Resort for anyone seeking a blend of comfort and natural beauty!

Nice place directly at the Crystal / Silverbeach nearby Lamai, nice quiet place to relax. Not crowded at all, Restaurants reachable on the main road, especially the Maitai and the Renu Restaurant can be recommended
