The animals are tortured, just like walking around, you can not walk and see, only the show you need to pay for. we did not like it, the workers took us money for a visit, and then they shouted and did not allow us to walk there, they demanded to pay for the show. bananas there are very expensive, 6 green pieces for 80 baht, it's terrible, elephants are sad, with chains on their legs, I do not advise going there, in vain money will be wasted

The tour is great but I probably not the right one for me. The elephants are chained up when not performing. Elephants are pulled by the ear when doing the baby elephant show. Also saw one of the trainers with tapping the poor thing with a metal hook. This place is great if you want an elephant ride, wash elephants and have photos with them. All felt like a circus attraction. The 2nd waterfall is good, the 4x4 ride is fun and the panoramic view is nice. A lot to like once you take out the animal welfare... which I can't.

This poor elephant is chained all day to one spot without water and shade, attached outside Funny Day Safari as their "mascot". It can't move because the chains won't allow it. It just seems very cruel... Who would support such a place with such owners?

go to a sanctuary like Samui Elephant Sanctuary, where the animals are actually treated well. You are not more important than their welfare, if you're going to places like this you should be ashamed

I DO NOT RECOMMEND BOOKING ANY TRIP WITH THIS COMPANY!!! SUMMARY: On August 1st 2019, the irresponsible handling of passengers & speeding with a speedboat caused my mom to break her back in several places on a snorkeling trip booked through ASIA BLUE TOURS, but operated by a third party FUNNY DAY SAFARI. Both companies deny any responsibility (my family had to sign a contract to get a refund for the trip). Our insurance pays for part of the medical bills but not for any transportation costs which were far higher. Additionally my mother has to get surgery to stabilize her spine! The day of the tour started with a car pick up from the local office by a third party FUNNY DAY SAFARI. Once having arrived at the pier in Thong Sala with a delay of 30 min, we were left alone in the car to wait for the speedboat. The driver was unable to communicate in English and although being told that several other people had booked the trip, no one else was waiting at the pier. After another 30 min had passed, a speedboat arrived and we were asked to board the boat. Again, the speedboat operator was FUNNY DAY SAFARI and again there was no English speaking person among the boat crew. We quickly realized that the boat was overcrowded with other tourists from Koh Samui & consequently the only place to sit was in the very front of the boat. Neither were we provided with the insurance contract which every tourists is supposed to sign upon entering the boat, nor were we given any life vests. Once the boat left the pier, the driver promptly sped up to catch up some of the lost time. It was quite windy that day and we immediately realized that the boat was going too fast. We had to hold onto the railing very tightly to withstand the force of the boat shooting out of the water & subsequently crashing onto the water an instant later. My dad remembers feeling anxious because he thought the boat was going to flip over (This actually happened in 2016 near Koh Samui, resulting in 2 casualties). After only 3 min of driving I heard my mom screaming dreadfully next to me. The boat had hit a particularly high wave, causing my mom to be lifted off the non padded plastic bench. A second later (the boat already shooted up the next wave) my moms body crashed back down onto the boat. The impact of the two forces caused a burst fracture in her spine (meaning that her L1 vertebrae broke into several pieces). I misunderstood her screaming as an expression of fear rather than pain but then she sunk onto the bench next to me and I realized something was terribly wrong. The crew noticed this incident but the driver didn’t bother slowing down. My mom being a doctor herself immediately told me that she knew she broke her back and consequently started hyperventilating. It took me several attempts to get the driver to stop the boat (I had to scream at him). My brother and my dad carried my mother to the back of the boat asking other passengers to make some space for her to lie down. The other passengers were in shock, no one was speaking except for one of the crew members who repeatedly tried to assure me to continue the journey. Again, I had to explain several times that the driver must drive to a beach to get us off the boat. Finally the boat turned around and we arrived at the shore 5 min later. We carried my mother through the water onto the beach. The crew member told me he had called an ambulance and as soon as we were on the beach the boat left to continue the journey. We waited 10 min with my mother lying on her side in the sand, the rest of us in shock. No one showed up and consequently we called an ambulance ourselves. The hospital which confirmed my mothers spinal burst fracture. ASIA BLUE TOURS have denied requests for monetary assistance as well as reaching out to FUNNY DAY SAFARI to contact us as they operated the tour. FUNNY DAY SAFARI has not answered any of our calls!!! MAKE UP YOUR MIND IF YOU WANT TO ENTRUST YOUR SAFETY TO SUCH TOUR OPERATORS. THIS WAS A LIFE THREATENING EXPERIENCE AND COULD HAVE HARMED MANY MORE PEOPLE!!!!

Amazing place to get up close and personal with elephants and monkeys. Super hot and humid. Although they do have the elephants put on a show and they did not look happy. I felt bad for the elephants not being able to roam free.

WORST BOATRIP EVER!!! UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY!!! We booked a tour online to visit Angthong National Marine Park from Koh Samui. It was our last day in Thailand and we were excited to see the marine park and spend a day on the sea. However, things got bad in the very beginning of the trip. First of all, we were put on a small crowded speedboat with 40 other people - there was barely room for all people to sit.(Pretty sure it was illegal to have so many people on there). And things just got downhill from there. We started our boatride and the boat was filled with fuel smells. It smelled really bad. The crew noticed the problem 40 minutes later!! Turned out that one of the engines was not working properly. Boat was stopped and crew tried to fix the problem. When I say try - I mean they waited to borrow simple tools from passing boats. No information was given. We were stuck on the boat for at least 30 minutes. There was very bad fuel smell, the boat was rocking on the waves and the temperature was over 30 degrees celcius. The result - people (children and adults) started throwing up. It was terrible! The crew was not successful in fixing the engine. Instead of turning back to the port, the crew decided to keep going for another 15 minutes at least. Then another attempt to stay and fix the motor. Still unsuccessful. So, 1,5 hours later and finally they turn back towards the land. Then we were met by another boat and expected to jump and continue trip on the other speedboat. As we had been sitting in those terrible conditions and directly next to the engines and fuel smells, we had terrible headaches and said we cannot continue this trip. We were close to the land and asked to be dropped off at the same port and we expected a full refund - the trip had not even started! Then things got even worse - we had to wait another hour at the port to meet someone from the company but no one came. Finally we demanded to be taken to their office. When we arrived at the office, they literally threw us out, saying there will be no refund!! The worst service ever!! This means we wasted the last day of our otherwise perfect holiday in Thailand. The headaches from the fuel smells were very bad for the rest of the day. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!! WORST TRIP EVER!!

It was a nice experience with a decent buffet lunch (since we took the deal). Alligator show was thrilling. Overall good-tan-experience 😊😎

Not funny at all, super sad circus elephants being mistreated. We walked out as soon as we saw the elepgants' feet in chains and handlers proding them with sticks. This place should be banned. Avoid this place and go to the elephant sanctuary where you will get up close and feed elephants saved from places like these.
