My wife and I stopped by and tried some spinach ravioli and cafe lattes. It was so good that we needed to come back try something else; so the owner/chef recommended a pesto rigatoni with a twist from Rome! It was amazing as well, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is on the island of Sumai.

I had such a great time in this restaurant! The pasta are amazing! Everything is seasoned so well. I was surprised because I really felt like my pasta had the exact perfect amount of peper. We can feel that the chef surely knows what he is doing! I also had a warm welcoming when I got there. The chef is taking real good care of his guests! Thank you for that !

We found this place because of it‘s good reviews - my italian boyfriend is really picky when it comes to eat Italian:) and we were more than satisfied! As we heard that Alessandro - the owner - was from Rome we ordered both the Carbonara & it was one of my best Carbonara I have ever tried! Perfect creamy sauce and best quality guanciale! Highly recommend Emporio caffè. Alessandro was so nice and talking to every guest in the restaurant - we ended up chatting until the restaurant closed. We will definitly come back these days:)

Very very good italian food and true italian food. Alessandro the boss and chef is very the best cooker italian food in koh samui. I go there many time. Staff also very good and smiler... Go there you will be enjoy

The owner, Italian cook was the best. A bit pricey, but it’s the quality. U will never find a place jn Thailand with that good Italian food!!

We have Been to a Lot of Italien Restaurant in the world. Never would have thought to find such an authentic place in Koh Samui. Really fresh Bruschetta with a realy good Pesto and perfect Spagetti Carbonara.

When food is made with skill and passion, this is the result! Alessandro really cares about his art and it shows. The Buratta, Ravioli, and Profiteroles were all delicious and classic. Also a very reasonable price. I would definitely come here again!! 10/10

Surprisingly better than I was expecting. Is it the best Italian I’ve ever had…? No, but it’s better than the average Italian and good value for your money. The staff and the owner were very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this Italian in Lamai and I will definitely come back from time to time.

The food is amazing! AMAZING! My favorite was the carbonara. The lasagna, pasta with speck and gorgonzola and also amatriciana were on top of my list. The food is made from scratch and very fresh with Italian ingredients by the owner and chef Alessandro We loved everything about this restaurant. We ate there many times. They were so nice to us Thanks to Alessandro and his team. The team looks very happy, they are professional and go above and beyond with every detail. Also try Alessandro's homemade limoncello- delicious.

Outstanding. We were a little tired of thai food, and I looked up on trip advisor and found this gem. Excellent food, the owner and the staff here were amazing. A relaxing oasis in a bunch of chaotic surroundings Thanks to the owner. I got the bruchetta with anchovies and the white clam sauce linguine, and it was amazing. Price is good too. DR j

We really enjoyed our food, the service was nice, the atmosphere cute and the food sooo so delicious 🥰 the chef came out and talked to us and he was so nice too!! You see (and you taste) that he loves what he does.! Totally recommend this restaurant (we both had Spaghetti Carbonara) and bruschetta !! :) Even if you're in Thailand and you feel like you "have to" eat Asian food, this Italian food is one of the best I've had. And I live in Germany and went out to Italy very often 😁 So go and try! I may is the best Italian food you'll ever have! :) ❤️

This Italian restaurant is absolutely superb and the man who runs it cares passionately about the food he cooks. On the first night, I had the carbonara, which was cooked perfectly, which I paired with a lovely red from Sicily. I went back again two nights later and had the cacio e pepe, which was as good as anything I'd eaten in Italy on my travels. The bruschetta was also tasty. You must try the mango cheese cake too.

Authentic Italian food especially the pasta high quality ingredients from Roma. The chef really loves what he does and professionally, the staff friendly and good service, I highly recommend both of residents and tourists.

Please come here and have the bruschetta with mozzarella and the carbonara. You will not regret it. Everything is imported from Italy and the Italian chef makes you feel at home. 🫶

Best Italian food in the area ❤️ Original flavor, better than in many restaurants in Italy. We came twice, first day Amatriciana and Spaghetti alle vongole. Second time I had rigatoni alla gricia and my wife Amatriciana again and a wonderful Italian mixed platter of appetizers. Emporio is the place to be for authentic Italian food in Lamai! 👌 🍝

5* only because i cant give more! You are in Samui and want to experience what a real italian restaurant is like? This is absolutely the place for you! 100% genuine fresh ingredients from italy cooked by an experienced and knowledgeable real italian chef! There are a lot of cow boys out there claiming they cook italian but only who is not italian can believe thats italian food! I did a lot if research before ending up here and immediately knew i was in the right place, i felt at home immediately (im an italian living in Thailand since years now ) i have a lot of experience myself about cooking and i can tell you this is 100% real italian food of top quality! And talking about prices, you might think its a bit expensive in thailand but if you take into account that this guy brings top quality ingredients and products from italy its indeed quite cheap! Cheaper then in italy in fact! I spent the equivalent of 50 euro for so much delicious food that in rome would have cost me at least 100! How can this guy do that? Its magic! Plus he is supernice and energetic he talks to everyone acknowledging EVERY customer personally even though hes superbusy in the kitchen! Maximum respect for an italian that can work so professionally with such genuine enthusiasm! The thai staff is also well trained and friendly well above the standard in other places here where often no one cares about customer service! Keep it up bro, i felt so proud to met such italian here and my thai wife was also super happy and very impressed!

The selfmade Pasta was great! The chief (italian himself) had some issues in the kitchen with his gas connection, so it took a little longer. Still we were served within 20-30 minutes. The chief excused the issues and gave as a free shot. He was really kind and we understood that sometimes you just have bad luck 🙂 He would've even given us a second drink, but we had to drive our scooters. Had a nice chat with him aswell! 10/10 would go again!

The menu consists only of maybe 10 pasta dishes and a few appetizers (mostly bruschette). We tried about 5 or 6 different pasta dishes over the course of 3 visits, and all were excellent. The very difficult to make Cacio E Pepe (essentially a fondue made from Pecorino cheese and loads of black pepper) is outstanding, and the Bolognese sauce is one of the best I have ever had, better than 90% of the ones you would get in Italy. The spaghetti with clams was a little bland for my taste, lacking both garlic and chili, but I should have specified that when ordering and I'm sure Alessandro, the owner-chef, would gladly have obliged. Just excellent!
