Super great Hotel to stay at Koh Samui! We were reviewing a lot hotels in that area but this one sorted out to be one of the best we found at Chaweng beach. Super friendly service, nice rooms in great conditions and super good beach access (enough space and beds even during high tide). Absolut recommendation to stay there!

Locations is great (beachfront), drinks are fine but unfortunately the food has been an absolute disappointment. We went for western food for lunch (therefore I can‘t speak for the Thai cuisine). The salad has been dry, the chicken burger did not taste like chicken at all and the fries were cold when being served.

Where to start… We decided to try the resort restaurant for dinner on our first night. This set an unfortunate tone for the rest of our stay. I woke up at 3am with a vicious case of food poisoning. Vomiting pad Thai for 7 hours wasn’t an ideal start and the staff didn’t seem concerned when it was brought to their attention. We steered clear of the restaurant after that, choosing toast and cereal at the buffet breakfast. The breakfast was pretty sad and absolutely covered in fruit flies. I opened the muffin bin and was immediately swarmed. They finally started covering the fruit but left dead bug carcasses smeared on the back wall. Just really unappetizing. The beds. Holy cow. My husband said it felt like a Flinstones mattress. Seriously, one of the hardest beds we’ve experienced here in Thailand. Prepare your back. The beach was beautiful outside of the dirty plastic chairs and tables that kind of tainted the view. The pool was good, but again, the loungers were definitely hard as a rock so your butt went numb pretty fast. I will say the staff did a great job cleaning the area and our room. The area itself is ROUGH. Just not the vibe if you’re looking for a relaxing resort style vacation. The main road is very noisy and filled with bars/Hooters, etc. If that’s your vibe then you’ll love it, but you will need to rent a bike to get to quality restaurants which we were happy to do. I rarely leave bad reviews but we just really had a rough experience here. We moved to a new spot and feel so much better and more relaxed. Don’t waste your money.

We stayed there for more than a week, every was impeccable. The pool is lovely, not that big but cozy enough, and the beach offers a great swim with wonderful walk along Chaweng. Our room is spacious enough, well kept clean, and even frequented with some friendly cats at our terrace every day. It's a quiet place despite the proximity to the busy Chaweng town. The people working there were also very friendly, especially the reception service (Mr Aidsara) who was very attentive to our requests throughout our stay. We will definitely come back.

Amazing beach location in the middle of Chaweng with nice and green garden here. The staffs are friendly. I would recommend staying at least for a week to fully explore Samui. A lot of activities available at front desk.

Amazing service and very good rooms with VERY comfy beds! It was my birthday and they spelled out “Happy Birthday” on the bed and gave me a free slice of cake — without being asked for it! Extremely thoughtful. There’s a nice restaurant with a great seafood grill in the evenings, and a morning buffet with both Thai and Western choices. The only drawback is that you can still hear the club music from the streets, but they can hardly control that. Highly recommended

Amazing Thai experience for a 3star hotel. Rooms are clean, the staff are very kind and attentive and the location is the best! Walking straight onto the beach, dining by the water and swimming in a clean pool all add to the relaxing holiday. We miss the massage girls on the beach which stopped during covid so we want them back! But definitely coming again

Really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were extremely friendly and accomodating. The location being right in the middle of the social side of Chaweng was great, as it meant we could walk if we needed to go out for food or pop to the shops/market. The hotel food is great, never had one bad or mediocre meal. I really hope we can return to stay here one day!

The hotel has a great location... on the Chaweng beach and in the Chaweng area, close to all bars, restaurants, massage places, tourism agencies. The overall environment was immersive, with a traditional look but with all the contemporary facilities. Our room was simple but cleaned everyday and very spacious. Breakfast was various and the pool was amazing, the jungle environment really puts you into the holiday mood. Staff is very well-coming and took care of few reservations for us : airport shuttle, scooter, muay thai tickets and they even prepared breakfast for us outside the breakfast schedule. We're sorry we didn't stay longer. Thank you for your warm well come, we will definitely come back.

    1. Air con was dripping a lot of water the first day 2. Very old facility 3. It’s only either burning water or cold water from the shower 4.ask the front desk for more water and they said ONLY ONE WATER A DAY ! We paid 5000 a night it’s a BAD SERVICE! 5. A lot of mosquitoes in the villa, when the cleaning lady come she never closed the door so every night we came back is all mosquitoes in the room !! 6. The water boiler was rusted inside and had a bad smell, but 10 pm NO ONE CAN COME AND CHANGE FOR US , we had to walk 10 min to change it ourselves and no apology at all ! 7. One day we came back and tried to open our door and IT WAS LOCKED ! We had to go look around to find the cleaning lady to open it! Because they have two lockers on the door but the villa only provides one key and the cleaning lady locked the other one……. Very bad experience! Not polite service, they are REALLY PROUD OF THEMSELVES, you should be nice to GUEST!!!

Since we started talking to Tum, he and his team made the whole process (test & go, sandbox, Thai pass) so easy to understand, this just showed the extent the team was willing to go to accommodate visitors. We stayed at Baan Chaweng for 15 days and honestly had the best experience, from the breakfast to staff cleaning around the resort. We walked both ways along the beach, and every day the staff from Baan Chaweng cleaned (raked) the whole beach in front of the resort and everywhere else except Baan Chaweng the beach was super dirty (plastic bottles, glass bottles, plastic bags etc.) however, Baan Chaweng it was pristine. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Baan Chaweng is a very comfortable Hotel in a very convenient location. You are located on the beach and seconds away from the nightlife and restaurants. The breakfast is great. I recommend the Chefs Omelette. I have just extended my stay and would return in the future :))

The resort is in the prime location of Kho Sumai, the rooms were very good and spacious and had a sit out area. The facilities and the room service were good. The main feature of this resort is the beach which is very easily accessible any time.

Love this resort. Although toted as a 3.5 star hotel, the resort is beachside and has the amenites one seeks while on holiday---located downtown, beachside, dining and VERY friendly staff! The room was clean, spacious, had hot water and followed all covid safety measures!

This property is green lush and beautiful! Rooms were spacious and clean. We had a beach front suite and there was a security guard on the beach all night so it was very safe! Daily breakfast was nice and the restaurant serves good food/drink at a reasonable price. I highly recommend Baan Chaweng Beach Resort on your next visit to Koh Samui.

We have been to Thailand many times, but this is the first time in Koh Samui. We booked the seaview suite for 7 nights . We loved every minute of our stay there. The staffs are friendly. Breakfast is good and changes everyday. The location is perfect, closed to everything. I will definitely book Baan Chaweng again next year. And stay longer on conditions that they have a gym by then LOL

I was gonna give 3 stars but unfortunately there are too many things i didn't like, like breakfast is always the same, they don't change anything at all, even in prison the food gets changed every day but we stayed 8 days and had to eat low quality breakfast everyday. The only good thing was the location.

This is one of my favorite places that I stayed on my trip. It’s some of the best value in the whole region. Clean hotel, great restaurant on the beach, and a truly wonderfully kind staff. I will be back.

Stayed in the Superior Building which has very old rooms. The shower didn't work properly and had a dirty, old curtain. Even though the hotel is located close to a busy and loud main road the noise wasn't audible in the room. Planes are audible but at the time of staying there weren't many flights passing over. I really wouldn't recommend the rooms in the Superior Building. Lots of green and trees on the property which gives it a relaxing atmosphere. The staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was overall good. Mostly Western food but the Thai options were tasty. The eating area is outdoors towards the sea, so it can be quite hot when eating breakfast late. The swimming pool is pretty small and probably aimed at kids. Beach access is great with plenty of seats to lay down. Ocean is good for swimming. Transportation to Samui Airport (USM) was 400 Baht, almost the same with Grab Car in August 2023. Overall a good hotel if some of the rooms would be renovated, because as of now the stay is overpriced.

This resort is in excellent condition, large room with day bed and sitting area, with private balcony allowing smoking, very clean and well maintained, hugh bathroom without a hint of mould (rare in older style resorts in Asia), very friendly efficient staff, traditional Thai setting with beautiful gardens. Our room has a beach view and you can hear the ocean roll in. Beach dining and sunbeds on clean white sand. Excellent breakfast with egg station and bacon. We are very happy staying here and would recommend Baan Chaweng to our friends. Communication with the resort prior to arrival was quick and efficient and airport transport organised in resort vehicle for minimal charge.

Loved the resort, it' has such amazing vibes, it's peaceful, it's amazingly designed. Perfect for a family vacation the small villas give the vibe of living in a forest, and the beach pool and restaurant is the best part of the resort. The food of the room service is also very good, The staff Is nice and helpful. The spa was an amazing experience but v expensive

We arrived at the airport early afternoon. The flight was straight forward from BKK with no delays. Taxi service to the Baan Chaweng was short and relatively inexpensive (300 Baht) for private car. The resort itself was nice and clean. The staff was great, always had smiles. They provided above level service for the price. The front desk even booked us a private van for (2500 Baht) for a day trip around the island. The driver was very knowledgeable about the best places to go since we had our 6 month old daughter with us on the trip. We really enjoyed the day trip. Nightlife was incredible. The Baan resort is right on the main strip but just far enough away so the nightlife doesn't bother you at night while sleeping. Plenty of local bars and pubs with a hooters right at the resort entrance. Also, plenty of places to book day trips for golfing, diving, 4x4 excursions and plenty of sightseeing. Overall... Great inexpensive trip with tons to do. Great for family with small children and young adults.

We had a very enjoyable stay here, the staff here are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are fairly basic, but you won't be spending much time in them anyway. The hotel is right on the beach, you can get a massage on the beach or just chill out. The water is pretty clean, but Thailand does have an issue with rubbish, so there might be a bit of rubbish floating around which can be a bit off putting, but not much the hotel can do about that. The location is really good, plently of places to get food, massage, shopping etc. Clubbing is also really close if you're into that. The hotel is directly under the flight path, so if you want to sleep in you might find it difficult if you're a light sleeper. However it's great for Airplane spotting on the beach if you're into that. The buffet breakfast was really nice, I'd recommend you go as early as possibly during the warmer months as it is outdoor and can get quite hot. To get to the hotel you can book a van at the airport that will drop you off at reception. It was 130 bath per person which is the cheapest option (public bus was 140 baht!). If you do take the van they have to wait for a minimum amount of people, but that shouldn't take too long. Once it got going we got there within 15 minutes, but times will vary depending on where other people are getting off. If you take the private hotel taxi from the hotel to get back to the airport it will cost you 400 baht. We had an early flight on the day of check out, so couldn't attend the buffet breakfast, but they did make us some breakfast boxes which was very nice :) A word of warning, if your flight is leaving during a busy period, such as a long week, leave early! Samui airport is just a small airport and can get extremely busy. The line for check in can take ages, and the security line even longer. We witnessed multiple people missing flights, don't be those people. Overall would highly recommend this place :) And thank you to all the friendly staff there!

A three star stay (facilities a bit dated) in an excellent location in Chaweng. All the staff are absolutely gorgeous and go out of their way to help you and make you feel at home.

The beachside restaurant turned out to be our favorite place to hangout. Beautiful sand and water PLUS the best service from the staff here. Food also excellent and reasonably priced.
