We stayed at Palm Coco Mantra for 2 weeks in September. And we really enjoyed our time. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is located in a beautiful quiet place. There is a private parking area. Bikes can be rented at reception. Most of all I liked their pool - comfortable temperature of water and good depth and length for swimming.

Palm coco mantra is a very nice small cozy resort with a lovely private beach. Staffs are very nice and welcoming. Always Smiling and happy to help. We stayed in 2 villas and its just perfect since it's just 10-15 meters from the beautiful calm sea. In the restaurant also a perfect ambience of the soft sound of the waves and good music, happy staff. For vegetarian they make to order nice spicy vegetable fried rice.

I did not stay at the hotel. I saw an ad on Google maps saying that hotel offers a room for 639 baht. So I traveled to Samui and went to the Coco Mantra hotel and asked for a room. They said their cheapest room is 1200. I asked for a room for 639 as advertised. Only after I showed them their ad, they admitted that they have that rate, but only for Thai people. I am not a tourist. I am a school teacher in Thailand. I have a work permit and Thai drivers license. The hotel receptionist said they cannot give me that rate, because I'm not Thai and don't have Thai ID. There was no mentioning about nationality or document requirements in their ad. So, I turned around and went looking for another hotel. I'm not going to stay in a hotel that discriminates people! I work in Thailand, I pay taxes, I have a right to get the same rate as Thai people. When Thai people visit my country they get the same rate as everyone else. This hotel discriminates people, I don't recommend staying here.

I cannot stress how friendly and helpful the staff here are. Incredibly helpful and lovely. We were planning on staying here but our plans changed and they were incredibly helpful with everything. When you hear Thailand is the land of smiles, the staff here embody that sentiment. So helpful friendly and kind with no expectation. I'm looking forward for when our plans align and we can stay here.

I had a really good time at the hotel. Helpful reception, beautiful view from the room, and nice, chill dining area with great cocktails. You can step onto the beach straight from the hotel pool. Palm Coco Mantra is a great bargain for travelers.

Everything at this hotel is just amazing. I stayed here with my partner for 9 nights at their Deluxe room with sea view. We prolonged our stay two times. Staff: The staff is so helpfull and friendly, we really felt that they took care of us during our stay here. Cleanliness: The hotel is really clean and feels modern. Room: The room was great, spacey, nice balcony, with an amazing sea view, and really comfortable beds. This is a 3 star hotel but feels like at least a 4 star hotel with the modern facilities and the service.

Great service and hospitality. I should’ve listened to them and upgraded my room to a sea view; but it made me go outside, enjoy the beach and meet lovely local people. My room was clean, comfortable and had a great ac.

Loved our stay here and would stay again. Staff are really lovely and helpful to organize tours, car rental, airport transfer etc. Breakfast is on the smaller side, but for us perfect - egg and waffle station, fruits, coffee, some local dishes. Overall it was very clean, but there was some mold in certain areas (the plastic cushions in the room). There is a small beach in front, which is nice to swim in when the tide comes in (in the afternoon). The hotel is a few mins walk off of the main road, and not centrally located. For us, this was perfect, however other travelers may wish to be closer to the center. 8 mins walk away there are a few restaurants and a well stocked convenience shop. We took the local shuttle trucks (hail them on the main road, they come very often). Howeve, haggle the price, you should be paying about 100 pp.

Beautiful though older resort with very nice beach access, directly on the beach. The breakfast was very good with wide choice and good quality. The staff was friendly and you can arrange many trips or rent scooter directly in the hotel.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Palm Coco Mantra for 6 nights, and I can't say enough about the exceptional staff that made my experience truly memorable. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a level of hospitality that went above and beyond our expectations. This place is an absolute gem and I highly recommend it. The staff even made a surprise to my girlfriend for her birthday and brought her a cake and sang her a song. We have never experienced such a high level of hospitality before. We will definitely come back. Thank you Palm Coco Mantra

The most warm and attentive staff, replaced the water heater late at night and got us a motorbike. Room 45 is the best with a hammock and a gazebo with the laziest cozy chairs and a beautiful sea view. We didn't try the breakfast but the restaurant food otherwise was good. The private sea access is the best in the area, not as rocky or steep as neighbouring hotels.

Great place. Staff are so sweet, helpful and kind. The food is really good, tasty and good portions, the price is a bit more expensive than in town but worth it, the smoothies are heaven (coconut and banana smoothies). 30 min walking from the complex there is a small town with lots of restaurants, bar, clothes and supermarket.

Right on the beach and at a quieter part of Lamai. What makes this place special is the staff. They are so friendly and go out of their way to help you with everything. We had a problem booking a ferry with a travel agent and they helped us every step of the way. They managed to get us a refund and were so helpful at a stressful time.

Overall a good place. Only con and I am not picking is the less option/variety in breakfast. For someone staying 3-4 days you will get bored by the spread. The staff is extremely helpful.

Great staff, quiet location, room with sea view are perfect. The swimming pool is very nice and clean, just by the beach.

Okay, so we didn't actually stay here because at the time, the restaurant was closed for renovations and the pool was out of service due to construction, but the hospitality of the staff was unbelievably good. They felt so bad that we weren't happy and brought us free wine as well as helped us find a new hotel in the same price range. Would definitely go back when their construction is done.

This is a mediocre hotel in a bad location. It is a 45 min walk from Lamai (so don't stay if you can't drive a scooter), and the "beach" is really only enjoyable at high tide (after dark). Otherwise it is extremely rocky and shallow. The rooms are fit for a motel and seem very antiquated, we also had a serious ant infestation in our room. The staff are very friendly and helpful but we would definitely not stay again because of the mediocre rooms, bad location, and unusable beach. Instead, consider staying in Crystal Bay, it's fairly close to this hotel (and still far from the main drag of Lamai) but it is a gorgeous beach with a ton of much nicer hotels, massage places, and food options.

Very nice resort. Unfortunately the restaurant and bar are closed but we expected they would be so not disappointed. Samui is beautiful without the hoards of tourists. Book a villa here if you can.
